Chapter 453 - Ring Expedition (1)

"I will use my sword to protect you as you go to Mount Doom. Before you are hurt, then I will definitely die in battle." Aragorn came directly to Frodo and knelt on one knee.

"And my bow." Legolas stepped forward.

'And my axe.' Gimli was not to be outdone.

"You have everyone's fate on your back, if this is everyone's decision, then Gondor will support it." With that, he also stood up.

"I am willing to assist you, Frodo Baggins." Gandalf didn't want Frodo to be involved, but now no one is more suitable than him.

Three eavesdropping hobbits rushed in. They expressed joy that they would go together as if it were a happy trip. They could not imagine the danger and hardship.

Wesley stood up. "You solve problems in the most complicated way possible. In order not to have a conflict with you, I can only accept that I will participate and know that the Ring has been destroyed or handed over to me." Wesley's words made everyone nervous.

"I am glad that you are willing to pass through. I believe that the Ring will be destroyed." King Elrond stood up and said.

"I believe it too, but it has wasted a lot of time. However, there is not much change in my affairs. Destruction is also a way. Then I will set off as soon as possible. Time is very tight." Wesley had no intention of continuing. As long as it was fast, he did not want to waste too much time.

The elves began to prepare what they needed for their expedition. Wesley asked for leather armor. The distance they had to travel was very far, and they were not prepared to ride horses. They were all on foot, so they needed light leather armor.

Looking at the luggage in front of him, Wesley put it all into his internal space, which surprised everyone. "Don't be surprised. There will be a lot of surprises in the future. Does anyone need me to bring anything?"

Legolas was delighted. "Please bring me some bows and arrows if you can."

"No problem. You can bring as many as you want. I can fit them in." Wesley helped Legolas carry a lot of bows and arrows and helped the Hobbit bring a lot of things, fresh vegetables and meat.

This allowed the expedition to travel light. Gandalf smiled at this, but his eyes were still vigilant. This Wesley Gibson was too strange. However, it would definitely be beneficial to them if the other party really did something. The ten-person expedition set off.

"We follow the west side of the Mist Mountains all the way south. If we are fast, we can reach the Rohan Pass in about forty days and then go east to Mordor from there." Gandalf is very familiar with the geography of this world, even if the map is still the same. He began to explain the route as he walked.

Wesley, on the other hand, had obtained a map. Although it was an abstract drawing, he still understood the distribution of Middle-earth. However, there was nothing like distance. Only a guy like Gandalf, who had lived for a long time, would really understand.

Instead of walking on the main road, they walked along the edge of the mountain range. Sometimes, they had to climb the mountain. Wesley fixed the sword behind him with a leather mounting and walked with ease, as if he didn't know fatigue at all. Moreover, he didn't make any comments along the way and just followed the team. They walked for more than ten days without any obstacles. When they were halfway there, things began to change.

On this day, they were resting by a pile of rocks. Sam, the Hobbit gardener, was preparing lunch. Wesley handed him the food and then waited. The food was kept very fresh, just as it had been when it was first taken, which pleased Sam. He gave Wesley a fried sausage, bread, and vegetable soup. It was simple, but it tasted good.

Wesley admired Sam. In the movie, this Hobbit accompanied Frodo to the end. He was a loyal friend and a brave Hobbit. Wesley felt that he was stronger than Frodo.

Legolas, the elf, was standing guard. He saw a dark cloud in the distance, but it moved very fast. It was the Raven, the scouts of Saruman, the white-robed wizard. They whistled and screamed. Gandalf told everyone to hide.

"The road to the south is being monitored. We have to cross Mount Callas, the Red Horn Peak, and go to the eastern foothills of the Mist Mountains. That way, we can avoid Saruman's surveillance." Gandalf decided to change the route, and Wesley still did not express any opinion. You can go however you want. He does not care.

After putting the sword into his internal space, he took out the cloak that the elves had given him and put on the hood. Wesley followed the expedition and began to climb the mountain. There was a lot of snow on the top of the mountain, and at the same time, the blizzard showed no signs of stopping. It was difficult for the group to move.

"We should go through Moria and go through the Mist Mountains from there. There is no snow there to bury us. Instead, there is hot roasted meat and good wine." Gimli was complaining. He would have preferred to go through the territory of the dwarves, but Gandalf had seen the greed of the dwarves. They would dig very crazily. They had even dug out the ancient flame demons. What a group of terrifying miners.

The blizzard was even larger now, which was unusual. Gandalf was on guard, but then a great chanting began. The sorcerer was chanting, "It is Saruman."

"Gandalf, we must turn back. This path will not work." Gimli said again.

"No, I won't go to Moria unless I have to." With that, he stood up and walked to the side of the road. Below was the cliff. He also began to chant and fought against Saruman, but now the gap between the two sides is very big. Gandalf is not Saruman's opponent. The top of the mountain was hit by lightning and there was a large avalanche. Everyone put their bodies close to the mountain.

In the end, they had no choice but to return, which wasted a lot of time. Then, not far south again, they came to Moria's back door. Dwarves like to prepare a back door for themselves, and it is invisible when it is closed. If they forget this, then they will not be able to find the entrance. They are really good at theft.

The back door appeared in the moonlight, but Gandalf kept trying to open it. He could not find a way in until Frodo guessed the riddle, and Wesley kept looking at the lake behind them. There was supposed to be a monster here, and this was a good opportunity to try his magic longbow.

There were no living creatures to serve as targets. This was something that had always depressed Wesley. He always needed living creatures to test the true power of the magic longbow so that he could see it more directly.
