Chapter 3 - Serious Work

When he arrived at the office, his desk was a mess. Wesley felt dizzy looking at it. What a sloppy guy. Or had so much work piled up?

Holding a report, he needed to quickly give it to the department head, Janis. Otherwise, her fat face would be very close to his. Moreover, her big mouth would chatter non-stop. She would hold a stapler in her hand and keep pressing it in front of you. The clicking sound sounded so annoying.

"Apple, can you help me finish this financial report quickly?" Although Wesley received all the memories of the original owner, it was not easy to finish a report quickly.

"Yes, if you look at all of it now, I can record it and complete the report. Next, you press one of your fingers on the USB port, and I can transmit the completed report to the computer." Apple's words made Wesley's eyes light up. Was it so easy? He quickly read it from beginning to end, and Apple recorded the content of the report through the retina, and then compiled a new one without Wesley knowing.

"That's enough," Apple reminded Wesley. Wesley looked around and saw that no one was paying attention to him. Then he pressed a finger to the USB port. Although it could not be inserted, it could be touched.

"Done. There is a shortcut on the desktop." Wesley quickly opened the shortcut and checked it. Sure enough, it was done. He hurriedly clicked print and then stood beside the printer. The printer in the office was public and linked to all computers. It could be printed at any time. Wesley took a glass of water and stood there waiting.

"Hi, Wesley!" A beautiful woman passed by. Her name was Nicole, and she would greet Wesley every time she met him. Only Wesley had this treatment because he was handsome enough. Wesley held a glass of water and looked at the beautiful woman's back. She had long blond hair and a slender figure, but Wesley didn't say anything to her, and she seemed to know him very well. She walked over without waiting for him to speak.

"Dude, you're early." Barry came over with his briefcase. "Nicole is really sexy, right?" Barry greeted himself with a playful look and tone.

Wesley glanced at him but said nothing. Instead, he returned to his seat with the printed financial settlement report. After binding it, he walked to the office of the department head, Janice.

Bang! Bang! He knocked on the door three times, then stood at the door and waited. A noise came from inside. Janis was probably putting her sweets in a drawer. Wesley knew all this, so he was not anxious to wait.

"Come in." Finally, a voice came from inside. Wesley pushed the door open and walked in.

"Miss Janis, this is the financial settlement report you asked me to complete." Wesley handed the report directly to her.

"Well, not bad, well done. I'll think about the work assessment report next week," Janis said after taking the report.

"Thank you very much. Then I'll go to work." Wesley's attitude is very good. Now everything is unknown. He doesn't know when the Assassin Brotherhood will come to him and whether they will give him a lot of money to deceive him, so he needs the job. Then doing the job well is the first important thing after transmigration.

Back in his seat, Wesley breathed a sigh of relief. The urgent work was done. Then he looked at the table full of papers. He needed to sort these out and then finish all the work that was owed. Wasn't that simple?

"Hey, man, you seem to be different today." Barry's position was behind him.

Wesley spun his swivel chair around and looked back at Barry with a smile. "What's different?" With his handsome face and charming smile, Barry was very jealous of Wesley, and it was very fulfilling to be able to seduce his girlfriend.

"I can't tell. It's just a feeling." Barry shrugged. He really couldn't tell, but he felt that Wesley was different.

Ignoring the scumbag, Wesley turned the swivel chair back around and began to straighten his desk. Suddenly, his heart began to beat faster and faster, and everything around him began to slow down, both in sound and movement. But he moved faster.

"Your heart beats more than 400 times per minute, and your adrenaline is surging. Ordinary people die easily, but your body is special. This is necessary to become a top assassin." Apple reminded Wesley again that the original owner needed to rely on drugs, but he did not. He wanted to master this ability, so he felt it while his hands did not stop moving and he continued to clean the table.

After about 30 seconds, his heartbeat returned to normal, and his forehead was covered with sweat, and the desk had been cleaned up. The often used ones were on the left, and the not used ones were on the right. All the documents were arranged according to priority, and everything was in order.

"Phew…" He took a long breath and relaxed his body. He drank the water in the glass in one gulp and then got up and went to the bathroom. After washing his face and hands, he looked at himself in the mirror, wiped the water on his face with a tissue and walked out full of energy.

"Hi, Wesley." Nicole greeted him again. "Hi, Nicole, oh right, I don't seem to have your contact information yet. Is it convenient to exchange phone numbers?" Wes used his charming smile to talk to Nicole.

"Of course, remember to contact me if there's anything." Nicole smiled and walked away after exchanging phones. It's not easy to get a beautiful woman's phone number.

Returning to his seat, he went through all the work he needed to do and waited for Apple to help him complete it. The job now is account manager, which used to be called account service representative, but some people say we need to manage the client's account, not the service.

Apple was quite efficient. The work here was no different from on Earth. It quickly completed everything, and he only needed to press his finger on the USB port. Everything was completed in the next few seconds.

Accuracy and efficiency were the focus of the job. Faced with a pile of numbers, it was important to be efficient and accurate. This was closely related to your monthly salary, and now everything was simple. However, this was not the life Wesley wanted. Since he had transmigrated, it would be a pity not to live a little.

"Hey, man, it's noon. Wow, did you clean the table?" Barry came over at noon. Wesley looked at him and remembered that he came late today. He took a leave of absence to go to the dentist, which means he patronized his Ikea table again. He looked at his hip out of the corner of his eye. Don't get me wrong, he was looking at Barry's wallet, which he often keeps there.

There was no wallet, so he must have left his wallet at his house. "No, you go ahead. I have some things to take care of." Wesley didn't seem to have any problems and tactfully rejected him.
