Chapter 8 - Iron Man (1)

Wesley sighed at the problem of Apple's upgrade. It was completely far away. Even if his heart jumped out of his chest, it was not certain when it would be completed. He bought three Big Macs and a large cup of coffee and ate them as he walked. In the end, he ate until he was full. But Apple said there was no problem. It could be consumed quickly.

At his desk, Wesley turned on his computer and then wrote a letter of resignation because he was going to the textile factory to train. He didn't think about yelling at Janis and walking out of the company. That wasn't his style.

He was not the Wesley of the past. He did not mind the past. Capital had always been a bloody exploitation. If he could not see through this and think clearly, then it would be too tiring to live. So he typed a resignation letter.

Knock, knock, knock. She knocked three times and waited at the door. Janis was still inside packing her sweets. "Come in."

"Good morning, Miss Janice." Wesley came in and greeted her with a smile. "This is my resignation letter."

"Huh? Your work results are very good and you have a bright future. Why did you suddenly quit?" Janis was very satisfied with Wesley's recent performance. He was especially capable. He had no problem working for two people. Why did he suddenly quit?

"It's like this. Although my father abandoned me when I was very young, someone suddenly told me yesterday that he was dead. You may not know how I feel." Wesley took out a tissue and said in a sad tone. Then he wiped his eyes, making them red. "And he has a lot of things for me to deal with, so I can only regretfully give up my current job."

"Oh, I'm really sorry. I didn't expect you to encounter these things. Well, I'm sorry to accept your resignation. Go to the finance department to settle your salary. I wanted to give you a raise after next week's evaluation." Janis was also very regretful. It's a pity that such a good labor force is gone, but her father died. What else can you do?

"What a pity. I hope I can come back here again in the future. Then I'll take my leave." Wesley left Janice's office and his facial expression returned to normal. He returned to his seat and packed his things. There was not much. The biggest thing was the ergonomic keyboard.

Barry was late again. Seeing Wesley packing up a cardboard box, he asked casually, "Hey, buddy, are you cleaning again?"

"No, I quit." Wesley turned his head and smiled at Barry. He was holding the ergonomic keyboard.

"What? Quit? Hey, are you going to jump ship?" Barry asked quietly.

"No, I don't want to do it anymore. It doesn't mean anything. Besides, I want to stay away from you." Wesley still smiled.

"What's wrong, man? Aren't we good friends?" Barry asked guiltily, but Wesley shouldn't have found out.

"The dining table you often use is from Ikea. The price is very affordable and it is very strong. It has not been broken for so long. I have to say that the quality is really good." Barry was stunned when he heard it. At this time, Wesley grabbed the end of the keyboard with both hands and waved it hard. One of Barry's teeth flew in the air and red blood splashed.

Wesley threw the two halves of the keyboard on the ground and left with his things. "Nicole, we'll meet again when you have time. I'll miss you." Nicole, whom he had met overnight, looked at Wesley reluctantly, and Wesley decided not to give up the line.

They took the elevator downstairs and Wesley took a taxi to a five-star hotel. He didn't wait for Fox to pick him up. Now was not the time. "Apple, how should I spend it if I withdraw?"

"I'm not sure. Now you should go online and let me look up some information. We don't know much about this world." Apple's theory is very correct. He came to this high-end hotel with the same idea. He turned on the computer and pressed a finger on the USB port. Apple began to quickly browse.

"Well? Did you find anything?" Wesley asked after a few minutes.

"The browsing speed is too fast. It's stuck…" Wesley spat out a mouthful of old blood and then died on his back. Of course, it's not as serious as this, but he doesn't love it at all now. Isn't this fooling a silly boy? If you don't tell me when you're stuck, I'll still be squatting.

"You said it earlier, but you didn't see anything for a few minutes?" Wesley stood up and sat in a chair, looking at the stuck computer monitor.

"Found Stark Industries." After Apple said that, Wesley was stunned. Stark Industries? Where had he heard that before? "It's not Iron Man's Stark, is it?"

"That's right, Stark Industries. After I saw it, I wanted to continue looking, but it was stuck."

"Is this world really made up of a bunch of movies?"

"You can't say that. It can only be said that your past world has a mapping of this place. There is a connection between parallel universes that requires further collection of information."

"There's no need to collect it. The more I know, the more troublesome it will be. I might as well not think about it. I don't have love in front of a big boss like Iron Man. I can't beat him. I'd better stay in my own place and deal with the money quickly so that I can learn from them. Then I'll think about the future." Wesley was scared and stopped Apple from looking. If he found some more powerful guys, he would feel insecure.

"Have you figured out how to use it?" Apple asked.

"I've thought about it. I'm going to buy luxury goods. This kind of thing keeps its value. Three million is not much or little. By the way, what is the current stock price of Stark Industries? And has Iron Man appeared?" Wesley suddenly asked.

"I found some. Stark has been kidnapped now. You can watch the TV news." Wesley hurriedly turned on the TV and searched every channel. If there was news, he would take a second look. Finally, he found a story about Tony Steck.

"It has been three months since Tony Stark was kidnapped. The military has been searching and has never given up, and Stark Industries' stock has shown some obvious fluctuations…" Wesley thought for a moment and asked, "How long was Stark kept in the movie?"

"After he was rescued, he said that he was locked up for three months." Apple answered according to the information.
