Chapter 26 - Training Again

The design plan was in his hands. Wesley looked at it. It was good, but they didn't need to work on the armory. Wesley dialed the number Phil had left.

"I need an armory at home. I think it's better for you to do it. I can pay for it," Wesley said directly.

"No problem. Our people will be responsible. What kind of design do you want?"

"Let the designer do it. I was just an accountant in the past. We'll talk about weapons when we get back. Let's leave it at that." Wesley took care of the armory and then went to sell his Chevrolet Camaro for only eight thousand dollars. He ran too fast.

He boarded the plane with his father. They were meeting Carlos's friend, Peckwalski, who was currently working at the monastery in East Moravia.

After leaving the airport, they took a taxi to the vicinity of the monastery and walked up on foot. Peckwalski was waiting for them at the entrance of the monastery.

"My friend, you are finally free. Congratulations." He hugged Carlos and then looked at Wesley. "Your son is much more handsome than you."

"Yes, he's more like his mother. Let's go in. We need to stay here for a long time." Carlos seemed to be very talkative here. The three of them walked into the monastery, and the first thing they saw was several kinds of loom.

"Are these knockoffs?" Wesley asked.

"Yes, but none of them were successful. The Fate Loom can't replicate them."

"Not necessarily. Someone contacted Sloan and gave him a lot of money. These people used the computing method of the Loom of Fate to develop a software, but the person who calculated it was not the person who died," Wesley said.

Pekowski looked at Carlos, who nodded. "We don't know who it is? The other side is well hidden, but this has nothing to do with us anymore."

"That's right, it really has nothing to do with us. The Assassin Brotherhood is completely over, so we should retreat. I will deal with these looms. Come, let me take you to your room and rest."

After a good night's sleep, Wesley got up early the next day. Now that he had developed a good habit of simply washing up, he went out and started running. His excellent physical strength was that of an assassin… Oh no, now he could be said to be a prospective agent. Since he had promised to join S.H.I.E.L.D., he would do it, especially if he had access to the Tesseract. That was the most important thing.

Carlos got up and watched his son work out diligently. He joined in and the father and son ran together. Wesley was much worse than Carlos. He still relied on his own abilities. This situation was not what he wanted. In front of superheroes, his abilities were almost useless. Now he wanted to practice gunfighting.

Gunfighting was a skill that relied on absolute accuracy. He didn't know how to use it at all, but he could imitate it. He had Apple's… Biological computer. Yes, that was the name he thought of. With this biological computer, he might be able to succeed, but Apple wasn't powerful enough now. He could only hope that it could help him in the future after it leveled up, but he needed to prepare himself first.

"Starting today, I will teach you marksmanship. Without using special abilities, let your firearms level reach the top." After breakfast, Carlos began to train Wesley.

"First is the pistol. You are most familiar with this. The effective range of the pistol is only 50 meters. At this distance, how you use it to achieve the greatest effect is the focus of your learning now."

"The outside environment has almost no effect on handguns, especially modern firearms, whether in performance or quality, so the assassins like handguns the most."

Wesley nodded as he listened. It was true. Because the effective range was too close, the outside environment had very little effect on the pistol. An excellent pistol could adapt to different environments, or in other words, you could choose different pistols in different environments. The two pistols he had now were both good things. At the same time, the caliber was different, and the conditions for use were different.

"Although the caliber of your Beretta 92 is small, it has a large loading capacity, low recoil, and relatively strong firepower. It can be used to suppress the opponent. And that M1911 is large and powerful. It can be used to kill with one blow. As long as it hits a vital point, it can basically be killed with one blow. When it hits a limb, it can directly cripple it. It is very effective in cooperation."

"What you have to do now is adapt to the use of both firearms. You have to understand every part on it. Now, start dismantling the gun." Carlos did not ask Wesley to contact shooting directly. Instead, he began to understand the structure of the gun again. The size of each part, applicability, and other professional knowledge were not difficult for Wesley because he had apples. However, it was rare for Carlos to teach him seriously. Instead of choosing to complete it with apples, he relied on himself to learn.

The study lasted three days. Wesley did not let Carlos down. He learned quickly, thanks to his training in the Brotherhood. After all, what he had learned then was only more detailed now.

Now it was time to train. Marksmanship was a skill, and it required some talent. Wesley was getting better and better with a lot of bullets, especially in the jungle near the monastery, in Carlos's carefully laid training ground. He could constantly hit fixed targets, as well as moving targets and obstacle courses. Making bullet turns required more training.

This practice took three weeks. It was a systematic re-learning. It was not easy to reach the top level without using special abilities, but he still succeeded, but only with the pistol.

"Not bad. You are willing to work hard. At the same time, you have talent. Next is the learning of sniper rifles. I don't think you like my gun very much, so I can only teach you modern firearms." Carlos's gun is indeed powerful. It can shoot that far, especially special bullets with a decomposing propulsion. But Wesley thinks it's too much trouble. It needs special people and special craftsmanship. This guarantee is not a source.

Finding S.H.I.E.L.D. could indeed solve the problem, but this was equivalent to handing someone a knife that could kill him, so he might as well make this bullet extinct. However, he and Peckwalski wanted the manufacturing method. He just had to remember this and try to make it when necessary.

"A sniper rifle is the opposite of a handgun. Because its range is too far, the environment it is affected greatly. The wind, temperature, and humidity all affect the trajectory. You have to calculate these things yourself." Wesley decided to cheat this time. Apple will do the math. He was a bad student in his previous life. Even if he is an accountant in this life, it doesn't mean that he has a strong computing ability.
