Chapter 122 - Charity Ball (6)

Before the card game began, everyone needed chips. No one would come with cash. They were not professional gamblers. It was just a hobby to find some excitement to pass their lonely lives.

They were playing Texas Hold'em. Texas Hold'em is a good choice for many people to play cards. Each person only needs two hidden cards, and the dealer will gradually show five public cards. After that, the dealer will combine with each player's two hidden cards to make the biggest card. Whoever has the biggest card wins.

"How many chips do you need?" Gilson Marbury asked. As the host, he naturally has to ask for everyone's opinion.

Wesley spoke first. "Give me 100 million first." His words stunned Tony Stark. Was he playing so big? This number was a little big, and Wesley had no money and needed to borrow from him, but he did not recommend that Wesley bet so big.

However, on second thought, Tony Stark understood that now that Miss Natasha Romanov might have been captured, it would be difficult to rescue her and complete the mission. Perhaps Wesley had thought of a way, so he kept his mouth shut.

The others were also stunned. Usually, their big-name games were only a few million dollars. Now, this person came up and asked for 100 million dollars in chips. Was he confident or crazy? They were able to get to where they are today not only because they have foresight and ability, but most importantly, they have courage and rationality.

"Mr. Gibson is going to play such a big game?" David Koch asked. Tony Stark knows that Wesley doesn't know these rich people, and then he whispered in his ear, "One of the bosses of Koch Industries, with a net worth of nearly forty billion."

"I heard from Mr. Marbury that there's a big-name game today. It's only a hundred million. Does Mr. Koch think it's big?" Wesley asked with an ignorant face.

"Good, young man, you're very bold. No wonder you can create an alliance game company. I'll accompany you today." David Koch smiled and asked for 100 million dollars in chips.

Plon, on the other hand, hesitated for a moment before asking for chips. His assets, like Gilson Marbury's, did not exceed ten billion, but they could still afford to play a hundred million. Wesley also remembered this person.

If only it was, because he would make the share price plummet for once. This was a chance to make a fortune. He hoped that the universe mapping theory worked with him.

The card game began and the beautiful dealer shuffled the cards. Wesley stared intently. He had to rely on Apple to record the order of the cards. Fortunately, the dealer's basic skills were very solid. The deck of cards was shuffled very evenly. Wesley could see very clearly that Apple had recorded the position of each card. Wesley could be said to be invincible.

"How about a bet of one million?" Wesley asked. The others had no objections. Texas Hold'em was more focused on the contest of wisdom, especially since none of them lacked courage.

The six of them threw in a base bet of six million dollars and began to deal cards. Each of them had two hidden cards. Wesley's trump cards were a six of clubs and a jack of hearts. Wesley knew the cards of the others, and he knew the five public cards very well. He was not the biggest in the end. The final cards should be a pair of jacks.

Bigger than him were Robert Mercado and Michael Bloomberg, who had not spoken. Although they were not young, they looked very energetic, especially in the first round. Wesley decided to lose one round first.

As expected, Wesley lost six million in chips in the end. Others lost almost as much as he did. In the end, Michael Bloomberg won tens of millions.

"Oh, this money-making speed is much faster than our career!" Michael Bloomberg joked. The atmosphere was not tense.

Then the second round began. Wesley still remembered the order of the cards this time. This time, he would be the biggest. He had three queens in his hand, but it would take a little more skill to win.

"It's a little small, so I'll add a little bit and add a million." Wesley directly took two million chips and threw it in the middle of the table. The other five thought for a moment and followed. After all, it was just two hidden cards.

As the public cards were flipped out one by one, the chips began to increase, and some people gave up. After three public cards, one could generally see their final cards, and no one would bet on the last two cards.

By the time the fifth public card was dug out, Wesley had increased the chips bit by bit, and there was already a bet of 30 million on the table. The only people left were Wesley, Gilson Marbury, and David Koch.

Wesley knew that he would win, but he needed Gilson Marbury to play more. His main goal today was to make Gilson Marbury lose a lot. As for the others, it would depend on their willpower.

"It's my turn to bet, so it's 50 million." Wesley directly pushed the chips, and the 50 million chips were directly pushed onto the table. The other two hesitated. Their cards were not small. One had two pairs, and the other had three, but they were a little smaller than Wesley's.

Instead of continuing to look at the cards, the two men looked at Wesley. They wanted to find a flaw in Wesley's face, and Wesley let the apple get some sweat on his forehead. The apple could control everything in Wesley's body, but of course it required Wesley's permission. It moved quickly to force out some sweat. There wasn't much sweat, but the two men saw it, smiled, and pushed out fifty million chips at the same time.

Wesley smiled. "You two are very confident, aren't you?"

"Hehe, Mr. Gibson has just started his business for more than a year. If you dare to play, why wouldn't we dare?" David Koch looked at Wesley. This young man is still a little bit too young. If you don't have the capital, don't be so arrogant. A hundred million chips is a lot, but you shouldn't be so nervous. And he knows Wesley's company very well. He only needs to follow the financial newspaper every day to know that although the Union Games company is developing well, it hasn't paid off yet, especially since they built the headquarters building directly. This young man probably doesn't have much cash in his hands.

"That's right. If Mr. Gibson dares to play, so do we. Now let's show our cards!" Gilson Marbury said with a smile. He had three cards in his hand.

"Okay, show me your cards. Let me see how big your cards are." Wesley made a gesture of invitation.
