Chapter 123 - Charity Ball (7)

David Koch opened the cards directly. The dealer looked at the cards and then pushed out three cards and his combination of cards in the public card. In the end, the biggest card was two pairs.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Koch. I have three." Gilson Marbury played his trump card and the dealer combined again. In the end, the biggest card was three eights. David Koch was not the least bit depressed. "Not bad, Mr. Marbury is better!" He then looked at Wesley.

"I can only say sorry. I also have three, but it's a little bigger." Wesley's trump card is two queens, and the dealer's final combination is three queens as the biggest hand.

"It's amazing that he has a pair of Q's in his hands. I have to say that Mr. Gibson is very lucky," Donald Tepron said.

"It's just luck. Texas Hold'em usually gets a pair at the beginning of the game and can basically win a game. It's very common." David Koch said disdainfully. The sweat on Wesley's forehead just now made him think that the young man was not very bold.

Wesley smiled and paid no attention to the other man's tone. The servant next to him quickly helped him with the chips and placed them neatly in front of him. Gilson Marbury looked a little regretful, and his expression instantly appeared on his face.

Wesley, who had been paying attention, laughed softly. This was much easier. There was no need to worry about his lack of emotion, just that he did not care. Wesley turned his head and asked Tony Stark in a low voice, "Is Gilson Marbury short of money recently?"

Tony Stark thought for a moment and then said, "I think so. He seems to be developing a piece of land recently and needs a lot of money."

Wesley nodded, then summoned the servant next to him and asked for a glass of juice. He had won more than a hundred million in this round, and David Koch and Gilson Marbury still had about thirty million chips left.

At the start of the third game, Wesley memorized his cards. He was not the biggest. He looked at his cards and gave up, losing a million on the bottom. Gilson Marbury lost another five million. His emotions began to fluctuate a little more, and he was not as calm as the other four.

Wesley won the next three games in a row. David Koch and Gilson Marbury ran out of money. Wesley's chips reached more than 300 million. He was very happy now. He had been very poor recently, but now someone was giving him money.

"What that gentleman just said is right, it is indeed faster to make money than your own industry." Wesley said with a smile, then looked at the two who had no money. "Do the two of you still want to increase your chips? We have only played six games, and there is still a lot of time at night."

David Koch pursed his lips. His net worth was tens of billions of dollars. Although it was only an asset, he had not taken the loss of 100 million dollars in cash to heart. This young man was too arrogant. He was just a little lucky.

"Give me another hundred million dollars in chips," David Koch said.

The servant next to him looked a little troubled and then said, "Mr. Koch, I'm very sorry. We don't have enough chips. We're not a casino here. It's already the limit to prepare 600 million chips for you. The remaining chips are in small denominations."

"Mr. Koch, you can exchange a check for my chips. Anyway, you have to pay when it's over." Wesley looked happy, and Tony Stark had a strange expression on his face. He knew that Wesley had gained nothing today. He did not have a hundred million in capital.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll win it back later?" David Koch said angrily.

"I'm not afraid. I'll return the check to you then. It doesn't make any difference." Wesley threw up his hands and looked indifferent.

"Sure." David Koch wrote a check for 100 million dollars, and the servants hurriedly counted 100 million dollars of chips from Wesley and put it in front of him. Wesley then looked at Gilson Marbury. "Mr. Marbury, how is it? Do you want to continue as the host?"

Gilson Marbury hesitated for a moment, then wrote a check for $100 million to Wesley in exchange for $100 million in chips. "As the host, I naturally have to play with you to my heart's content. Everyone, continue!"

The other three didn't care. The card game continued. Wesley could only record the order of the cards and couldn't control the real size of the cards. At the same time, he didn't want anyone to see that he could only win and not lose, so he would deliberately lose a few rounds. Sometimes he lost tens of millions, but on the whole he kept winning.

After an hour, everyone except Wesley had less than 10 million chips. Robert Mercado said, "That's about it. Let's all bet on the last round. I think Mr. Gibson will win again, right?" He doesn't say much, but through Tony Stark's introduction, the media king is very smart. His net worth is more than 10 billion dollars.

Wesley, on the other hand, remembered that there was one in the universe he had come from. "I have no problem with it," Wesley said first. The others also said that there was no problem. When the last round began, Wesley recorded the order of the cards, but this time he was not the biggest, but Gilson Marbury.

An almost imperceptible frown appeared on his face. This was the last round. If he kept going, Gilson Marbury would have less than a hundred million dollars left. He would not be able to achieve his goal.

So the last game was the key. Wesley once again communicated quietly with Tony Stark. "How much money is Gilson Marbury short of now?"

"What's wrong? Do you want to set him up?" Tony Stark asked curiously.

"That's right. If we can't achieve the goal in the last round, we can only use force, but he has something I'm afraid of." Wesley did not know how powerful the ring on the other party's hand was and whether his Blackadder armor could withstand it.

"I'm not sure, but there's always a billion and eight hundred million. His new development is a high-end apartment in a good location. The land was bought at a high price and the location is near Central Park."

Wesley nodded. The other party was short of funds. He could either pull people in or take out a loan. However, both would reduce his profits. With the current housing prices in New York, it was a huge profit.

If real estate wants to recover its capital, it will take at least two to three years. The interest in this process is very terrifying. Although the profits are very different, the money that can be earned by oneself should not be easily distributed to others. Loans and financing are the last resort.

Gilson Marbury would not be at the end of his rope, so Wesley needed to use his subtlety to get him into the game. Besides, he had a big hand and should be in the game. The question was, how could he win this round?
