Chapter 1031 - Another Meeting

"I've told President Harls everything that's happened here, but there's been no reply. The President is probably dealing with the other teams…" Fran explained briefly.

Since they had been attacked here, the other teams must have been attacked as well. The other team had trapped them in the Department of Mysteries and spent a lot of effort to separate them, obviously preparing to attack them one by one.

Until now, they had not seen a single hostile wizard, and Fran had reason to believe that the split Madago was only there to slow them down.

Although this monster was very difficult to deal with, it was unrealistic to expect it to wipe out a dozen or so elite Aurors. Therefore, the enemy's real goal was probably to delay their movements and then lead the main force to attack the other teams.

With this thought in mind, Fran felt a sense of urgency. After gesturing for them to stay on guard, he led Walker and the others along the tunnel created by the fierce fire.

After walking for a while, he was forced to stop. He had a feeling that the wreckage of the cabinet was floating in the air.

"Look out!" shouted Flun, waving her wand to cast a barrier spell.

The Aurors on the field reacted to the warning, standing back to back and casting spells to protect themselves.

The attack was more ferocious than they had expected. The debris flew through the air with a piercing noise, and as soon as they came into contact with each other, several magical barriers were destroyed. Flun managed to roll away, but the others were not so lucky.

Walker and the others were unable to dodge in time and suffered some light injuries. The four Aurors at the back were hit and fell to the ground. There were several deep bloody holes all over their bodies, and they were about to die…

"Damn it!" said Flan, glancing at the four people on the ground. She was frightened, but angry.

Although these dead colleagues were not close to him and had only known him for about a month, they had all experienced several fierce battles together and had developed some camaraderie…

Irritated as he was, his attacker's strength was enough to send a chill of fear down Fren's spine. The protective spell that so many of them had cast had been easily broken by a single spell, and he had the impression that there were only two wizards in the wizarding world with such strength.

Flan gripped her wand tightly and looked ahead with a tense expression as the faint sound of footsteps approached.

A moment later, a figure appeared in front of everyone. It was undoubtedly Gellert Grindelwald!

"Avada Kedavra" (Avada Kedavra) The moment he saw her, his pupils shrank and he attacked without hesitation, unleashing the Death Curse.

A dark green beam of light flashed through the air, and Walker and the others, who had also sensed the threat, cast their spells. In an instant, a dozen spells were cast, all of them aimed at Grindelwald.

Grindelwald did not even bother to remove his wand from his sleeve. He simply raised his hand, and the debris on the ground leapt up to block each spell accurately. He then pointed his index finger at a female Auror, and a blinding white light shot out from his fingertip. It was so fast that it was almost impossible to believe, and with one blow, the Auror's Shield Charm was broken.

The female Auror's body quickly stiffened, and she transformed into a stone statue, her face frozen in terror.

There was a chill in the hearts of the others as they watched the fate of the female Auror. Walker crouched low and transformed into his werewolf form, ready to fight to the death.

Grindelwald's face twisted into a sneer, and he tilted his head slightly to avoid a Life-Extinguishing Curse. Then, with a gentle wave of his right hand, the cabinet beside him flew up and knocked Walker away.

"Reducto ~ (crushing)" "Confringo ~ (exploding thunder)"

Flan and the others did not stay idle. They attacked and retreated, casting spells at Grindelwald to save Walker…

Grindelwald didn't seem to be in a hurry to kill them. He seemed to be taking their attacks very lightly, fighting back every few seconds, although one of them was bound to die.

Cold sweat broke out on the Aurors' foreheads as they watched their fellow Aurors fall to the ground at their feet. Grindelwald's every move was like the Grim Reaper's command to wipe out one of them.

In just over a minute, the only people left on the field were Warren, Walker, and a wizard on the verge of collapse.

Perhaps tired of waiting, Grindelwald raised his hand again, this time pointing at the leader, Flun.

"Avada Kedavra ~ (Avada Kedavra)"

The dark green spell beam reached him almost instantly. The moment he saw Grindelwald raise his hand, he tried to dodge, but he was too slow and could only watch as Death inched closer.

Just as Fran was sinking into despair, a force that seemed to have come out of nowhere tugged at her, causing her to move a few centimeters away from the light.

Grindelwald frowned for a moment, then seemed to sense something. He looked up and saw a golden bird blazing with white flames, heading straight for him.

Grindelwald did not hold back this time. He quickly pulled the Elder Wand from his sleeve and waved it, creating a semi-circular barrier of magic in front of him.

The fiery phoenix crashed into the solid barrier of magic, causing a violent explosion that engulfed the entire area.

When the smoke and flames died down, Ivan appeared in front of them, staring at Grindelwald in the flames.

"President Harls?!" shouted Furlen and the others, their eyes full of joy at having survived the catastrophe.

"I'm sorry, it seems I'm a little late… The other teams have also been in trouble, so we've been delayed." Ivan glanced at the bodies on the ground and sighed.

"You've done well. Of course, they are…"

Ivan had previously guessed that the French Ministry of Magic, as Grindelwald's main camp, would be heavily fortified. As the attacking side, they had suffered many casualties in the battle without much intelligence and inside help. However, seeing the bodies strewn all over the ground with their own eyes was still a little uncomfortable…
