Chapter 1032 - Your Ambition ends here!

After a few glances, Ivan quickly composed himself and turned to Grindelwald, speaking in a solemn voice. "Let's end things here today, Grindelwald…your ambitions end here…"

"Is that so? Well, I think it's time to put an end to this," Grindelwald said coldly. He waved his Elder Wand and several beams of light shot out, aimed at Flun, Walker, and the others.

He had deliberately spared their lives in order to lure Ivan Hals to him. Now that he had achieved his goal, there was no need for them to live.

Ivan was not going to let Grindelwald get away with this. He immediately used his magic to pull a large cupboard in front of them.

Several beams of magical light hit the cabinet, causing it to explode.

Flan, Walker, and the lucky survivor of the battle, the male Auror, stood at attention, pointing their wands at Grindelwald in an attempt to counter-attack.

"Take them and get out of here, Flun… you won't get a chance to get involved in this fight," Ivan said solemnly. "And don't forget, your mission is to finish it!"

Flan and the others might be considered strong by ordinary wizards, but they were nothing compared to Grindelwald. If they were to get involved in a fight, they would only be a burden to him.

Ivan took out a bottle of reagent and threw it at Fran. "Take this!"

Flan caught the bottle with both hands and looked down at it. It was half-filled with a golden liquid.

[This is Felix Felicis, which increases one's luck for twelve hours. You may be able to use it to locate Alison… the Horcrux is on her neck.]

Ivan's voice rang out in Furlen's head, but he didn't ask any questions. He opened the potion and drank it, then ran away with the other two…

The destructive power of these two leaders was evident in the North American Capitol, and they did not want to be caught in the aftermath of the battle.

As she watched Fran and the others leave, Ivan quickly turned his attention back to Grindelwald, somewhat surprised that he had not taken the opportunity to attack her.

"You think they're going to get away with this?!" Grindelwald sneered, then clapped his hands and the platform shook.

Beneath their feet, the black and white tiles crumbled, and a deep, gaping hole several meters wide appeared on the platform. Unable to resist, they fell into the bottomless abyss.

Grindelwald's smile widened, and he turned to Ivan to see the look of frustration and anger on Ivan's face, but Ivan's reaction was unexpected.

"I'm afraid the Aurors who fought for their lives in the Ministry would be disappointed if the President of the League who led them ignored their sacrifice," Grindelwald said with a sarcastic laugh.

"I will engrave the face and deeds of every colleague who has fallen here into my memory," Ivan said noncommittally. "I am sorry, however, that I had no intention of letting any of my men die in front of me…"

"You didn't think I'd rush off to see you without any preparation, did you?" Ivan sneered.

Before entering the Department of Mysteries, Flan had used her Seal to inform him of everything that had happened there. Ivan knew full well that the entire Department of Mysteries was under Grindelwald's control. He was confident that he could get Flan to leave.

Ivan's indifferent attitude caused Grindelwald's smile to freeze on his face. Feeling vaguely uneasy, Grindelwald opened his left hand and pointed at the crack, which was several feet wide. He then clenched his fingers tightly, and the crack, which looked like an abyss, quickly closed.

He wanted to crush those Aurors underground!

At that moment, a high-pitched whinny sounded.

A moment before the ground completely closed, a white shadow rushed out of the ground like lightning — it was a huge unicorn several meters tall, its body made of solid white mist. After rushing out of the ground, it flew away on the light shadow without looking back.

Flun and Walker, who had fallen into the ground earlier, were now sitting safely on the back of the giant unicorn, with the unlucky wizard in its mouth.

Grindelwald's face darkened. The Department of Mysteries was technically his home ground, but the man he wanted to kill had so easily saved it. How could he not be furious?

Grindelwald's heart sank at the sight of Ivan's young face.

Since his escape from Nurmengard, the young wizard had been a thorn in his side, a thorn that continued to grow.

Every time they met, Ivan's strength would increase significantly. More than a month ago, in the North American Magical Congress, Ivan had used a hidden trick on Grindelwald's key to trick him. Grindelwald had a feeling that if he did not kill Ivan in this battle, he would never have another chance.

Therefore, he had to win this battle!

Grindelwald did not reply. He raised his hand and cast the Smashing Charm.

"Reducto ~ (crushing)"

Ivan conjured an invisible shield to block the attack, but before he could retaliate, he was knocked down. The solid bricks on the ground had turned into a muddy swamp, and strange, pitch-black hands were reaching out from the swamp to grab his ankles and thighs.

The huge cabinets on either side of him seemed to be dragged by some force as they crashed into him.

Ivan's face remained expressionless, as if he had not sensed the danger, but his counter-attack had already begun. White flames surged out of his body and burned into the mud along his arms.

A strange wail sounded in his ears, and the strange arm that reached out of the swamp instantly dissipated into black mist.

At the same time, the robe that Ivan was wearing on the outside quickly elongated and transformed into a pair of black bat wings. With a powerful shake, the robes flew high into the air, taking Ivan with them.

The ground was Grindelwald's home ground, and what happened to Fran and the others was still fresh in Ivan's mind, so he was not stupid enough to stand there and fight.
