Chapter 604 - I Saw Them Killing Someone In That Room!

Ivan's brow furrowed at the thought, as Trelawney's prediction was certain proof that Lord Voldemort was planning a resurrection.

However, the process might not be as easy as he thought…

Harry was also in a daze. He gently touched the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead and recalled the dream he had during the summer holidays…

"Harry…"

Harry's thoughts were interrupted by a shout, and he turned to see Ivan looking at him worriedly.

Hermione and Ron noticed Harry's unusual behaviour and turned to look at him.

"Something bothering you, Harry? Something to do with You-Know-Who?" Yvonne asked.

Harry hesitated, unsure if he should say it.

"There are some things I suggest you don't keep to yourself. We're friends, aren't we? Maybe we can help you…" Ivan tried to comfort her gently.

This time, Moody's question made Ivan realise that his knowledge of the plot was losing ground, and he would have to start looking again if he did not want to be tricked.

Harry's side was a good place to start. If he remembered correctly, Harry should have dreamt about what happened at Riddle House during the summer holidays.

As Ivan had expected, Harry spoke hesitantly.

"About two weeks ago, I had a very strange dream at home… I saw a dark room with a stove next to it. And then… I looked through the crack in the door and saw people talking in the room, and one of them, a short man I think was Peter, and the other one, it sounded like Voldemort…"

"What? You said you saw Peter and heard V-Mystery Man talking?" Hermione asked in surprise before Harry could finish.

"It was a dream, wasn't it? Anything can happen in a dream, that's not surprising!" Ron argued before Harry could reply.

"No! It seems different this time…" Harry shook his head and touched the scar on his forehead again, speaking slowly. "When I woke up from my dream, it hurt so much, and the last time I had it was years ago, when I was facing Lord Voldemort…"

"Really? You're sure?" Ron's eyes were round with disbelief as he stared at Harry. He opened his mouth to say something, then stopped himself.

"It must be some sort of omen!" Hermione said firmly. "I read in a Divination textbook that some wizards can sense when their loved ones and friends are about to be in danger! Dreams are one of the most common…"

"You mean Harry and You-Know-Who are family or friends? Come on, that's funny…" Ron scoffed, thinking that the Divination textbooks were unreliable and full of nonsense.

"But they're the sworn enemies of the prophecy! That's a link, isn't it?" Hermione interrupted, and without looking at Ron, she grabbed Ivan by one arm and Harry by the other and ran towards the Headmaster's office. "Let's go and tell Professor Dumbledore!"

"Wait for me!" Ron hesitated for a moment before following them.

After running for a while, the four of them arrived at the door to the Headmaster's office. They were shocked because they did not know the password.

Hermione thought for a moment, then asked tentatively.

"A cockroach pile…"

"Frozen Lemonade…"

"Toffee fingers?"

The huge stone beast did not move and stubbornly stood in their way.

"Why don't you try some Sizzling Honeysuckle?" Yvonne suggested.

Crack …

As soon as Ivan opened his mouth to speak, the stone guardian began to shake with a dull thud, revealing the staircase.

"Let's go… looks like we're in luck!" Ivan smiled and was the first to enter.

As they climbed the stairs, Harry and Ron couldn't help but ask, "How did you know this would open the door?"

"Because Professor Dumbledore usually uses his favourite sweets and drinks as passwords!" Hermione explained, turning back to Ivan.

It was when she saw Ivan guessing the password to the Headmaster's office that she made the connection.

The four of them chatted as they entered the Headmaster's office.

After many days, everything was normal here.

The only difference was the number of papers and newspapers on the central desk.

Yvonne sneaked a peek as she got closer. All but a few copies of the Daily Prophet were supposed to be about the Goblet of Fire.

Dumbledore calmly flipped the document over and closed it. He scanned Ivan and the others with his half-moon spectacles and asked, "Hales, why have you come to see me at this hour?"

"Professor, it's like this, I had this weird dream over the summer…" Harry gritted his teeth and repeated everything he had said to Ivan and the others.

Dumbledore's face grew grave as he listened to Harry's story of what he had seen in his dream. He knew what it meant, of course, and it was proof that Lord Voldemort's power was being restored in order to link with the Horcrux…

"How did you see that?" Dumbledore asked suddenly.

Dumbledore's grave expression made Harry nervous, so he swallowed and stammered.

"I think… I think I was looking up from the ground, Professor!"

It crawled on the ground like… a snake!

This thought came to Harry's mind, but he kept it to himself, as it was too strange!

Dumbledore's furrowed brow relaxed a little at Harry's reply, and he leaned forward slightly to keep his eyes level with Harry's as he continued in a measured tone, "Do you remember exactly what they said in the dream?"

Ivan was also watching Harry closely, needing to know how the dream had changed in order to determine Voldemort's next move.

"They mentioned the World Cup… a fellow called Nagini, and they mentioned me…" Harry struggled to remember the scene.

But now that more than two weeks had passed since the dream, the memory had become as hazy as a veil, and the more he tried to grasp the details, the more they slipped through his fingers.

With only the most vivid scenes left in his memory, Harry's face grew paler, his forehead beaded with cold sweat, and his lightning-bolt scar seemed to throb again.

At last… Harry cried out, almost savagely.

"I also saw them in that room… killing someone!"
