Chapter 605 - Aren't They Just Two Dungbombs? Do You Have to Hate Them for So Long?

Harry's words stunned everyone present, including Hermione, who covered her mouth and stared at him in shock.

"Who? Did you see who it was?" Dumbledore asked, his expression neutral.

"It was an old man, a Muggle by the look of him, who was listening in on Peter and Voldemort's conversation… and… and he was found out…" Harry was breathing hard, his body shaking, and he seemed to struggle to get the rest of the sentence out. "It was Voldemort himself… who ended him with a Killing Curse!"

Dumbledore thought for a moment, then tapped his left index finger on the table.

There seemed to be a great deal of pressure in the spacious Headmaster's office, and Hermione and Ron were both frightened by Harry's description of the dream.

"Professor, do you think it was just a dream?" Harry asked, unable to bear the heavy atmosphere in the Headmaster's office any longer.

"No, I think that may be true!" Dumbledore shook his head, his expression grave, as he looked at Harry and spoke again. "Voldemort must be planning something…and it is clear that you are involved!"

Harry and the others were horrified at Dumbledore's confirmation that Voldemort had come back to life.

Ivan put on a serious face, but he didn't let it show.

This was because he understood that Voldemort had not truly been revived, but had only acquired a baby-like body with Peter's help.

However, Harry's words revealed another crucial piece of information: Voldemort's seventh Horcrux, the snake Nagini, had been made.

In other words, there were three Horcruxes left…

With that in mind, Yvonne glanced at Harry.

The Hufflepuff Cup at Gringotts, and Nagini the Serpent at Voldemort's side, were heavily protected, but could be destroyed by right means.

However, Harry's Horcrux was unusually tricky.

In the original timeline, allowing Voldemort to destroy a Horcrux by himself seemed to Ivan highly uncertain and accidental…

There are only two other options, to study Horcruxes and find a way to strip a soul, or to kill Harry as a vessel…

As Ivan pondered this, Dumbledore noticed the grave expressions on the faces of the crowd, and spoke to them in a soothing tone.

"Don't worry too much, Harry! From what you've seen and heard in the dream, I don't think Voldemort has fully recovered his strength, or he would have gathered his followers back together instead of hiding somewhere with Peter!"

Dumbledore's gentle words seemed to calm Harry and the others, calming them down.

"Do you remember any more specific details?" Dumbledore asked Harry again.

Harry tried to remember, but eventually shook his head in disappointment, unable to remember anything more.

"No hurry, you can think!" Dumbledore said, his eyes on Harry's.

Harry saw something like light in Dumbledore's eyes, and then his mind began to swim, as if he were slipping back into the dream in which he was once again the serpent…

Legilimency…

Realizing this, Ivan immediately performed Occlumency, only to relax when he realised that Dumbledore had no ill will towards him.

This time, Dumbledore was more obvious than before in his stealth.

However, it is reasonable to assume that the current situation is much more severe than the one in the original time and space. Dumbledore is at a complete disadvantage and not far from death.

Every piece of information about Lord Voldemort at this particular juncture is of paramount importance and will likely decide the outcome!

Yvonne also wanted to know if there was any crucial information in Harry's dream, and her eyes darted between Dumbledore and Harry.

Harry seemed lost in his memories, and Dumbledore's face showed a faint expression of surprise and joy…

Unfortunately, this emotional change only lasted for a moment, and when Ivan looked at Dumbledore again, his face had returned to normal, and Ivan wondered if he had been mistaken.

Before Ivan could think better of it, Harry roused himself from his dazed state and shouted,

"I remember now, a witch called Bertha Jorkins went missing, and it was Peter who did it! And they were planning to find another servant and try to get rid of me!"

Harry spoke hurriedly, as if he would forget the memories if he slowed down, and then turned to Ivan.

"And Ivan… they mentioned you!"

"Me?" Yvonne pointed at herself in surprise.

Harry nodded, remembering. "Yes! Voldemort was furious when he mentioned you! I was too far away to hear what they said!"

Ivan frowned. It was bad news to be hated by someone like Voldemort.

Ivan also had a new appreciation of the Dark Lord's pettiness.

Prior to its true resurrection, the Host's and Horcrux's senses were very weak, and it was Voldemort who confirmed the destruction of the Horcrux diary.

Aside from the Horcruxes, Ivan didn't think he had much to do with the other party… except for the two Dungbombs.

But… did he have to hold a grudge for so long?

Harry was still trying to recall all the details, whether they were useful or not, and even described the room to the best of his ability.

Eventually, Harry's words became unusually hoarse, and when he could not squeeze any information out of them, he stopped.

"That's all I know, Professor!" Harry said dryly after a few breaths.

"You have done well, Harry! This will be useful information!" Dumbledore said softly, looking at Harry with admiration.

"So what do we do next?" Harry asked eagerly, eager to know what Lord Voldemort was planning to do to him.

"Well… you'll have to let me think," said Dumbledore, after a moment's consideration, looking up at the clock on the wall as if he had finally thought of something.

"Ah, yes! It's almost dinnertime… I think the best thing you can do is go to the Great Hall, fill your bellies, and get some rest…"
