Within a few minutes, Ivan was alone in the lounge again.
And so the farce ended.
Ivan shook his head and extinguished the fire.
Fortunately, he had achieved his goal of conciliating Hermione tonight, so he did not hold it against George and the others for causing trouble.
"Right, let's see what he's up to…" Ivan muttered to himself as he walked down the corridor to his dorm, once again opening the Marauder's Map to find Barty Crouch Junior and confirm his whereabouts.
Yvonne scanned the map and was surprised to find no sign of Barty Crouch Junior.
Is it possible that Crouch Junior got away at the last minute and is not in the castle? Ivan wondered, then dismissed the idea, as a familiar name came into view.
Alastor Moody!
"How… how is this possible?" Ivan asked, feeling a chill run down his spine as he stared at the moving names on the Marauder's Map.
The Moody at school turns out to be real and not Barty Crouch Junior in disguise…
Otherwise, even if he could find Moody's name on the Marauder's Map, he would be stuck somewhere and not wandering around the campus at night!
Ivan had the vague feeling that things were going beyond his expectations.
Could Voldemort have changed his resurrection plan? But why? Could it have something to do with him?
Ivan's frown deepened as a multitude of thoughts raced through his mind, indicating that he was about to lose the advantage of being a Seer.
But what was Moody doing out in the middle of the night? Yvonne wondered, staring at the Marauder's Map.
From his position, it could be seen that Moody was wandering in one of the corridors of the castle, but after a while he entered the staffroom and froze in place, presumably preparing for bed.
"Do you want to go and have a look…" Ivan rubbed his chin, tempted to sneak into Moody's lounge to make sure, but decided against it.
Moody was an experienced and unusually suspicious Auror, and it was impossible for him not to have some sort of decor in the room, and he was afraid that he would be discovered as soon as he entered.
"Damn it, what about the Triwizard Tournament?" Ivan asked, putting the Marauder's Map away in frustration. He had wanted to control Crouch Junior to cast the Confunding Charm, but his plan had fallen through.
…
The next morning, Ivan woke up yawning after a sleepless night. After washing up, he prepared for the start of the new term.
After a night of heavy rain, the sky outside was still a little gray. Large, greenish-grey clouds covered the sun, but it was so early in the morning that it seemed to be evening.
"What classes are we having today? Well… Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination!" Harry looked at his timetable, searching his suitcase for the appropriate books.
"I hope it doesn't rain today, or the Care of Magical Creatures lesson will be ruined!" Ron complained as he looked out of the window at the gloomy sky.
However, Ron soon changed his mind. He wanted to slap himself in the face in exchange for a rainstorm!
Because today's classes were terrible, the other two classes were nightmares except for Professor Sprout's!
Hagrid somehow managed to get his hands on a species of Blast-Ended Skrewts, which he assigned to them.
These creatures were extremely disgusting. They were like deformed, shelled lobsters, and they had a very strong, unpleasant smell.
The afternoon Divination lesson was no better, as Professor Trelawney mysteriously suggested that there would be bad omens this year, and attempted to predict Harry's birth date from the orbits of the planets, concluding that it must be in winter!
Finally, Professor Trelawney gave each of them a complicated circular chart on which to fill in the location of the planet they were born, believing that the planet's course contained a mysterious omen…
Ivan randomly filled out a list, having no idea where the nine planets were when he was born, and then looked around at Harry and Ron, who were presumably also randomly filling in the list.
Hermione was the only one in the class who followed the formula to the letter and performed precise calculations…
Although the final result seems very different from the truth…
"She must have been mad to spout nonsense in class when everyone knows Harry was born in late July and Professor Trelawney thinks you were born in the winter, which is not true!"
After class, Ron couldn't help but complain as soon as he left the classroom. He felt that choosing Divination was definitely a bad decision!
"Even a master can go wrong, can't they? Professor Trelawney even managed to predict Peter's escape and the You-Know-Who!" Hermione defended Trelawney.
After her predictions were confirmed, Hermione's attitude towards Divination changed and she became very keen on it, going so far as to make several predictions in private based on her knowledge of Divination!
Unfortunately, they're mostly wrong…
This somewhat discouraged Hermione, who did not seem to have a gift for prophecy.
"Who knows? Maybe she was just talking nonsense the last time! You-Know-Who's been dead for more than ten years, he can't have come back…" Ron pursed his lips. Trelawney's strange behavior in class made him doubt the accuracy of her prediction.
"You forgot? Didn't we deal with him a few years back?" Yvonne asked, glancing at Ron in surprise.
"Oh, yes! You and Harry met him once…" Ron's tone was patronizing; he had never actually met Lord Voldemort, and instinctively felt that the Dark Lord's resurrection was impossible!
Professor Dumbledore and the Ministry of Magic are not for show…
Ivan, naturally, read Ron's mind and shook his head, saying nothing more.
Trelawney's predictions could not all be correct, of course.
After all, she had to terrorise several new students every year, claiming to have seen signs of death in them.
Most of these claims would not come true, or who would dare attend Hogwarts when so many people die every year?
Under certain circumstances, however, Trelawney's remarks were accurate.
This was especially true when one accidentally said something, or when one was in a trance.
100% will be verified!
Unfortunately, the last prediction of the return of the Dark Lord was a true prophecy!
