As a wizard, Ivan did not particularly care whether the Dementors lived or died.
With that in mind, Ivan dragged the sack out of there while the commotion attracted everyone's attention, intending to find the nearest secret passage to the meeting place he and Harry had agreed upon.
Shortly after Ivan's departure, several professors and Aurors on guard duty went all out to silence the rioting Dementors.
Umbridge looked angrily at the Dementors trapped in a small circle and wanted to order the Dementors who had offended her and caused her to make a fool of herself to be executed!
However, Umbridge was only thinking this in her head, and her anger had not yet completely destroyed her sanity, so she knew that even if she gave the order, it would not be carried out by Aurors or professors at Hogwarts.
Umbridge looked angrily at the Auror accompanying her. "Oldman, find out what's going on! And why did those Dementors attack me?"
The Auror named Oldman nodded and made a strange noise as he communicated with the Dementors.
"These Dementors claim that you were the one who attacked their fellow Dementors, and that you intended to punish them in the harshest manner possible, so they were prepared to retaliate."
'Bollocks!' Umbridge raged.
She did say that, but it was just a threat to force a Dementor to make the right choice…
The more she thought about it, the more furious Umbridge became.
She considered herself kind enough to these disgusting creatures, repeatedly giving them opportunities and even offering to excuse them, but they did not appreciate her kindness.
'Ask them where the Dementor was that was guarding the junction in the first place, and find it!' Umbridge hissed, thinking of the culprit.
She couldn't do anything to the horde of Dementors, but she had to punish them, and the Dementor that had dared to cross her was put to death.
The Aurors nodded, then began talking to the Dementors.
After a while, communication seemed to be hampered, and the Dementors became agitated.
As intelligent creatures, it was naturally impossible for Dementors to hand over their companions who had awakened their free consciousness. However, after some private communication, they discovered that one of the Dementors was missing. The hero who could speak fluently had disappeared!
For a moment, the Dementors were sad and angry. They felt that Ivan must have sacrificed himself in the battle and died bravely!
At this thought, the Dementors became agitated…
Unfortunately, when McGonagall and the others sensed that something was wrong, they used the Patronus Charm again, and the Dementors were quickly suppressed by several powerful Patronuses.
However, the unyielding creatures still expressed their displeasure verbally, and the sound of the wind echoed in the air.
'What's wrong now? All I did was ask them to point out the Dementor that started the riot, and what did they say?' Umbridge asked, unable to understand why the Dementors were so agitated.
Oldman's expression became even more strange when he understood what the Dementors were saying.
"These Dementors claim that their great hero was killed by one of our own in the last battle, so they are furious and demand an explanation."
Umbridge wondered if she had misheard. Did these Dementors think the man who had provoked the High Inquisitor was a great hero?
Before she could speak, the Aurors continued.
"Also…they feel they are being treated unjustly, and demand that the Ministry provide them with adequate food and regular leave, or they will go on strike!"
Aurors assembled the Dementors' disjointed words and truthfully reported them to Umbridge.
When McGonagall, Flitwick, and the others heard this, they had strange expressions on their faces. They thought that the Dementors riot was a result of their chaotic nature, but they did not expect these seemingly evil creatures to want to take a leave of absence… and go on strike?
Umbridge burst out laughing; she had never heard such a ridiculous request before! In her opinion, the Ministry of Magic would be doing them a great kindness by not eradicating them altogether…
However, the Dementors were very determined about this, and although their heroes were killed in the previous battle, their will remained with them!
…
[Ding, a new legend has been born!]
Ivan, who had just come out of the secret passage, heard the system prompt in his mind. Confused, he opened the system interface and checked.
[Legendary Title: Great Hero (Dementor Limited Edition)
Legendary Points: 1
Tales of the Dementors: This is a day that all Dementors will never forget, as the Dementor who stood guard at the crossroads and spoke fluently brought freedom to the race!
Note: Although it is rumoured that the nameless hero died in this battle, many Dementors are willing to believe in the legend that the nameless hero did not actually die, but was hiding somewhere, and that when the race is in trouble, the hero who speaks fluently will return!"
"These Dementors are poisonous, aren't they?" Ivan asked after a long moment of silence.
All I did was fool them into thinking that Umbridge and the Dementors were stupid enough to think that they would run away after the first wave.
Ivan was left speechless, but at the same time, he was struck by the idea that his mission to Dark Talon could be accomplished in a different way…
Yvonne considered several options, then shook her head, certain that the Dementors would be placed under strict Ministry control after the riot.
Although he could take some risks and use his new abilities to free the Dementors, he could also use this opportunity to raise his reputation and recruit more Dementors.
But then what? He had nowhere to put the Dementors, let alone enough food to satisfy their daily needs.
They couldn't just abandon the Dementors and run away, could they?
To do so, hundreds of hungry, uncontrolled Dementors would be a catastrophe for the wizarding community, and before the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic could dispose of them, countless innocent wizards would die in agony, their souls devoured…
