Ivan took a few steps forward and raised his wand to cast a spell to kill Burke, but was stopped by Alicia.
Ivan looked at Alicia strangely, not sure what she meant.
"I have some questions for him," said Alicia, turning back to Burke.
"Tell me where the library is? I don't want to use drastic means… In that case, you might die easier!"
Burke struggled to sit up and coughed up a mouthful of blood. He stared at the two men in front of him, knowing that he had lost and that Alicia would never let him go.
"Not on your life!"
"Crucius!" Acacia did not show any mercy and coldly cast a Cruciatus Curse on Burke.
The deadly itch and bone-deep pain hit Burke at the same time, causing him to curl up and roll around on the floor. He even hit his head against a cupboard, knocked himself out, and woke up in pain…
Even so, Burke gritted his teeth and made no attempt to speak. He knew that he was going to die anyway, and since he was going to die anyway, he might as well go to hell with these secrets!
At this thought, Burke arched his body and slammed his head against an exposed nail.
A look of disappointment came over Isiah's face, as she saw Burke's determination, and thought she would never get her hands on the knowledge.
A red light flashed and hit Burke, who immediately passed out…
Isiah turned to see Ivan attacking them.
"I'll brew the truth-telling potion, and he'll talk after a few drops!" Ivan explained.
After being reminded by Alicia, Ivan remembered that Burke, as the owner of a wizarding shop, must have some knowledge of alchemy that was truly priceless!
Perhaps his alchemy level would increase greatly again!
No wonder Isiah interrupted his attempt to kill Burke, thought Ivan.
Alicia nodded in agreement. She had never been much of a potion-maker herself, so she did not think of this at first.
Screech…
After Burke was knocked out cold, Puffskins shook the blood off his fur and hopped over to Acacia, who reached out her arm to get him to sit on her shoulder.
Ivan had a strange expression on his face as he watched the black ball of fur sitting quietly on top of Alicia and acting cute.
He had not forgotten how it bit Burke's nose off with its fang-filled mouth.
Its large, innocent-looking eyes had the effect of a Fear Charm, capable of sending anyone who looked at it into a state of fear.
Ivan shook his head. Alicia had a wicked sense of humour, transforming such a lovely creature into a murder weapon…
George and Fred wondered what it would be like to see their Alchemy Creatures transformed into something like this.
Perhaps he would get excited?
Ivan shook off these thoughts and listened to the sounds of fighting nearby, then said, "Mom… stay here and watch Burke. I'll go help Fran and the others!"
Alicia hesitated for a moment, then nodded. She approved of Ivan's abilities. Other than Burke, who was a dangerous man to watch out for, no one else seemed to pose much of a threat to him.
With Ethia's approval, Ivan ran to the nearest of the sounds.
"Shadowless Blade!"
"Shattered!"
Ivan was like a fire captain, helping the werewolf wizards to finish off their opponents wherever they went.
Although they managed to catch the black-robed wizards off guard early in the battle and gain an advantage, they were, after all, extremely vicious Dark Wizards and were not easy to deal with.
This, coupled with the fact that a sudden shriek had shattered a large number of glass enclosures containing dark magic items, some of which had been automatically activated, causing them considerable trouble.
Fortunately, the bodies Ivan saw along the way all belonged to Dark Wizards, and the worst injury he sustained was that of a werewolf wizard.
The werewolf wizard clutched his arm and fell to his knees, howling in pain.
"Wound Heals!" Ivan tried a healing charm, but to no avail.
"Allow me! This is an injury caused by dark magic. It will not work without first removing the effects of the dark magic!"
Doggett appeared from the other side of the room, grabbed the werewolf wizard's injured arm, and held it up against his wand. He cast a spell to draw out a cloud of black smoke, which he threw against a wooden chair.
Ivan watched as the black gas corroded a large hole in the wooden chair.
Doggett then used the Healing Charm again to heal the wound, occasionally advising Ivan on how to deal with such injuries.
Ivan listened attentively. Injuries in battle were unavoidable, and learning more healing techniques would undoubtedly improve his chances of survival.
After treating the werewolf wizard, Doggett went on to treat Fran and the others, but they only suffered minor injuries.
"By the way, Fran, is everyone here?" Yvonne asked, turning to look at the crowd that had gathered once again in the drawing room.
"Aside from your mother, Walker isn't here either… He's gone after the fleeing enemy," said Flun worriedly as she was being treated.
"Then I'll go find him…" Ivan looked around at the injured people and said.
…
At the same time, in the corner of the Wizarding Shop, Walker swiped at the black-robed wizard in front of him with his wolf claws, sending him flying. His sharp claws tore the wizard's tattered robes apart, leaving deep scratches on his body.
The black-robed wizard scrambled to his feet, grabbed a nearby table, and threw it at Walker.
Walker deftly dodged the attack, grabbed the black-robed wizard by the head with his strong right arm, and threw him against the wall. He then glared at the black-robed wizard and questioned him angrily.
"If you're also a werewolf, why did you attack Hales?"
