Before he could do anything, Ivan ducked and rolled away from the attack, then disappeared into the Cloak of Invisibility.
"Get out of there!" Adrian shouted, looking around angrily. He swung his wand and rocks flew up from the ground like arrows.
However, the rubble did not have any effect. It seemed to be affected by something in mid-air and twisted into birds that blocked Adanne's vision…
"Shadowless Blade!"
Ivan thrust his wand out of the Cloak of Invisibility and pointed it at Adarian's chest, drawing blood as the invisible blade of magic sliced through him.
"Come out!" Adarian roared, but he could not see through the Cloak of Invisibility's disguise. He could only judge Ivan's location by the sound of his voice chanting, and he waved his wand frantically to cast spells that shattered everything around him!
Ivan was as nimble as a fish in the water as he hid inside the cloak. He did not stay in one place for long, circling around Adrian and occasionally adding wounds to his body with his Obscurus.
Adanne's life force was unexpectedly strong, and even though she was bleeding profusely, she was able to remain standing. In the end, she abandoned her wand and wrapped it around the collapsed counter with brute force, sweeping it forward…
Unfortunately, such an obvious move was too easy to see through, and would give the game away, so Ivan easily dodged it.
Adanne was like a giant, swinging the counter repeatedly, but she could not hit Ivan, the dwarf… She could only use up her stamina.
Taking advantage of the moment when Adrien was out of steam, Ivan waved his wand, and the wide chair under the wand transformed into a giant snake that wrapped itself around Adrien's ankles, immobilizing him.
"Shattered!" Ivan said, casting another charm,
Adrian's face fell and he managed to block the blow with the counter in his hand.
However, Adrian was already badly injured and was an arrow at the end of its flight. He was also trapped by the giant snake and could not move. After resisting for a while, he was killed by a Dissociation Charm…
Ivan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Adrian's body fall to the ground. He had not expected such power.
If not for his sneak attack and the Invisibility Cloak, killing Adrian would have taken a lot of magic.
Ivan shook his head at Adrian, who died with his eyes wide open.
As the leader of these black-robed wizards, Adanne might know something, but Ivan didn't have much time, and he didn't have the time to interrogate her.
He remembered seeing flames and hearing explosions shortly after entering Knockturn Alley, and then running to the scene within minutes…
They're probably halfway there by now,
Noticing the bloody marks on Adanne's body caused by the Traceless Magic, Ivan thought of something and used the Smashing Charm to destroy the marks.
At some point, the black-robed witch, who had been knocked unconscious by him, regained consciousness and was unfortunately hit in the back by a falling rock.
Ivan reached into his wizarding robes and walked towards her…
When the black-robed witch saw Ivan approaching, she grabbed her wand and tried to cast a spell.
"Let me go… let me go!" The black-robed witch looked pleadingly at Ivan. "It was Burke who instigated us to come here. I can tell you everything I know…"
As she watched, the young witch in front of her took out a bottle of potion from her robes. The black-robed witch was overjoyed, believing that the young witch was preparing to save her.
After all, if they wanted to kill him, they could do it with a single spell. There was no need to go through so much trouble…
The black-robed witch quickly drank the potion and then clutched her neck. To her horror, her body began to change shape. This was not a potion to treat injuries…
What Ivan gave her, of course, was the improved Polyjuice Potion that Hermione had brought with her.
When Ivan knocked out Alicia, he took a strand of her hair and put it into the potion.
"What did you give me to drink?" The black-robed witch wailed in pain. The muscle-pulling wound caused her to nearly faint from the pain…
Ivan watched in silence as the black-robed witch in front of him underwent a rapid transformation. Her appearance became more and more beautiful, until she finally took on the appearance of Alicia.
When the transformation finally ended, the black-robed witch lay weakly on the ground. Her body trembled from time to time, and her wails became much weaker. Large amounts of blood continuously soaked her robes and flowed down her mangled back, onto the gray floor…
Ivan couldn't bear to see her struggle in pain like Alicia, so he killed her with a wave of his wand, ran to the entrance to the basement, opened the trapdoor, and ran into the practice room.
The Witch of Fear, who was curled up in the practice room, threw the Cloak of Invisibility off when she saw Ivan and fell straight into his arms.
"I'm so glad you're all right, Ivan!" Hermione exclaimed. The explosion had frightened her, and she was worried that Ivan might be in danger.
"Didn't I tell you? They're going to be the ones who die. Look… I'm not hurt at all!" Ivan tried to calm Hermione down.
Hermione took a good look at Ivan and saw that he was fine, apart from a little blood on his clothes and a bit pale.
"Anyway, let's get out of here…" said Ivan, putting his arm around the unconscious Alicia and ushering Hermione outside.
Hermione nodded, and she and Ivan ran out of the basement with Alicia,
Hermione's pupils contracted when she saw what was happening on the first floor, and she covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming.
The previous Dark Arts shop had been reduced to ruins. Flames rose into the sky, and the smell of blood filled the air. Several mangled corpses lay on the ground.
Even more surprising to Hermione was the fact that one of the dead women looked like Alicia…
Was it Polyjuice Potion?
Hermione soon figured out why Ivan was so obsessed with improving Polyjuice Potion, and why he had to figure out how potions worked on the dead. He wanted to create the illusion that Alicia was dead…
As Hermione ran, she accidentally kicked something and nearly fell over. When she turned around, she saw a black-robed wizard lying on the ground…
The black-robed wizard's eyes were open, and he was lying stiffly on the ground, as if he had been petrified. There were no wounds on his body…
