Chapter 317 - Returning to Knockturn Alley

The humane Hippogriff flapped its wings and glided over the Forbidden Forest, heading in the direction indicated.

Ivan was relieved to see that his new mount was so obedient. He had been worried that the beast would not want to leave its roost with its new owner, whom it had only met recently.

Ivan couldn't help but marvel at the accuracy of the book on hippogriffs.

It is an extremely proud creature, but once you have the opportunity to ride it, Hippogriffs become very submissive.

It also tells a short story about a warrior who flew over the Alps from Italy to England on a hippogriff, and Ivan wonders if this is true.

Whine…

As Ivan was thinking,

Below, there was a roar, and Ivan looked down to see the Hogwarts train arriving on the platform, steam billowing up from the chimney.

On the platform, there was a long line of young wizards waiting to get on the bus. From afar, Ivan was surprised to see himself getting on the bus.

Despite the effects of the Disillusionment Charm, Ivan motioned for the Hippogriff to fly higher so that the crowd below would not notice.

A short while later, as Ivan watched, the Hogwarts Express gave a long, slow-moving hum…

"Looks like we need to move faster!" Ivan said, patting the hippogriff on the back.

He had to reach Knockturn Alley before the train arrived at London Station.

The brownish-red beast sensed Ivan's intention and increased its speed once more, flying in a straight line, leaving the steam locomotive far behind.

After flying for an unknown period of time, the cold wind buffeted Ivan, and he found himself in the middle of nowhere except for a vast expanse of lush forest.

Ivan tightened his Cloak of Invisibility to keep it out of the storm,

However, the worst part was that the sky was already covered in dark clouds, and then the rain began to fall, hitting the Cloak of Invisibility with a cold, hard rain that then flowed down…

Ivan complained about the weather, he couldn't remember if it had rained on the way back…

The hippogriff let out a few excited cries. Unlike Ivan, it seemed to enjoy the storm…

After a while, the rain stopped, and the London Wizarding Station came into sight… but Ivan did not dare ride the beast into the station, so he directed the hippogriff to stop in the nearby woods.

Ivan jumped down from his horse and turned to pat the beast on the head, leaving a tracking charm on it. "Thank you, big fellow, for seeing me off!" he said.

If he stayed long enough, he might be able to ride the beast back.

The hippogriff stuck out its tongue and licked Ivan's palm. It seemed to understand Ivan's meaning, as it walked off into the forest.

Ivan wasn't worried about the hippogriff causing panic. This was still wizarding territory, not the Muggle world, so it wouldn't hurt to be seen.

Looking at the Wizarding Station in the distance, Ivan did not choose to enter London through the Nine and Three-quarters Station, and then head to Knockturn Alley via the Leaky Cauldron.

Instead, he intended to use Apparition directly…

The consumption of magic to move back and forth between the same cities was bearable.

Ivan, thinking about the alley in front of the Dark Arts shop, establishing his goal, quickly waved his wand.

"Disillusionment!"

As the lights and shadows intersected, Ivan felt as if something had sucked him in and then spat him out.

When Ivan stood still and looked around him, he saw that he had arrived at his destination. His Dark Arts shop was not far away, and it seemed to be in perfect condition. The door was wide open, and he could see Alicia sitting at the counter.

Ivan stood silently in the doorway with his Invisibility Cloak on, looking at Alicia with mixed feelings. He was so excited that he wanted to say something, ask a lot of questions, but when the words reached his mouth, he held them back and did not take another step…

The entrance to the wizarding shop was protected by a Sensory Charm, which caused the bell hanging on the door to ring. Ivan wasn't sure if the Cloak of Invisibility would be able to block out such senses.

However, the counter was very close to the door, and Ivan could see the expression on Alicia's face from where he stood less than three meters in front of her.

To Ivan's surprise, Alicia looked relaxed, without a trace of the tension she had before the war. She was resting her chin on her right hand in boredom, her purple eyes staring dreamily at the clock on the wall. From Ivan's perspective, he could only see her exquisite profile…

What's the point of looking at the time? To know when they're going to attack? Yvonne wondered, glancing at the clock from a distance.

It was about three hours before he heard the explosion.

Ivan gave Alicia a long look, held the Time-Turner to his chest, and turned decisively away, intending to go alone to find the attackers, or to get rid of Borgin and Burke's owner in advance…

He had originally planned to tell Asia about the incident when he returned, and then work together to deal with the black-robed wizards.

In the end, however, Ivan decided against it, as fighting those people in the Dark Arts shop would lead to certain death.

Ivan had gone to great lengths to get here, not wanting to take any risks!

It would not have been in Alicia's character to try to persuade her to go into hiding and leave him to deal with the intruders alone.

Therefore, Ivan chose to keep it a secret. He was confident that he would be able to get rid of his enemies if he ambushed them while wearing the Cloak of Invisibility.

Of course, you have to divide and conquer here!

Ivan made his way to Borgin and Burkes, planning to stop a few black-robed wizards and kill them to reduce the number of enemies. He would then think of a way to fool himself with the setting.

As they turned down an alley, Ivan stopped, anger welling up inside him.

A short distance away, two wizards approached, chatting and laughing, one of whom Ivan was impressed to see.

Ivan waited for them to pass, gathering strength at the tip of his wand in his right hand, debating whether to act now or wait until they were in a more secluded area…

Seeing that the two of them were about to walk out of the alley, Ivan finally made up his mind to kill them first!
