Chapter 155 - Sorry, This Is the Developer of the Wolf Poison Potion

The small talk with Dumbledore did not last long, and it is worth noting that Ivan found Doggett to be invisible throughout the conversation, his dark face showing no intention of interrupting.

When Dean Bohan and Dumbledore were out of earshot, Doggett stepped forward and patted Ivan on the shoulder.

"It's been hard on you…" said Doggett wistfully.

Yvonne did not understand the meaning of Dougett's words, but she could see that he had a terrible relationship with Dean Bohan, and she wondered why he had invited her.

"I did not invite these two. They came of their own accord!" said Doggett gloomily, as if he had seen Ivan's confusion.

"Let's go, I'll introduce you to a few more friends!" said Doggett, quickly collecting himself and dragging Ivan away to talk to the remaining wizards.

It was at this point that Ivan realised how popular Doggett was, with many of the wizards present being high-ranking Ministry of Magic officials, some of whom were even core members of the Order of Merlin.

The meeting in the Atrium lasted for several hours, and Ivan, who was smiling the entire time, felt like he was going to faint from laughter.

"How much longer are we going to be here?" Ivan asked unhappily, rubbing his sore cheeks.

"Till the evening, of course. Did you forget it's the full moon?" said Doggett, smiling at the well-dressed wizards around him.

"Although your Wolfsbane Potion has been authenticated by the Ministry of Magic and its effects have been confirmed, a werewolf must be found to see for himself…"

Ivan nodded, but then thought gloomily, why not come back tonight…

It took Ivan a while to understand why.

This was because, when the bell rang at night, a large crowd of people came rushing in, looking like tabloid reporters from the Muggle world, carrying old-fashioned video cameras or parchment and shorthand pens.

Several Aurors struggled to maintain order.

Minister for Magic Fudge was also there, Ivan soon saw.

Fudge seemed to be in high spirits after not seeing him for a long time. As he walked, he talked about the wizarding world.

In particular, it was mentioned that the Ministry of Magic, under his leadership, had successfully cracked down on the proliferation of dark magic items that had been plaguing the wizarding world, and captured a large number of extremely vicious Dark Wizards.

Fudge then proceeded to show a lot of concern for the survival of the werewolf wizards, causing a lot of agreement.

Once inside, a bespectacled, clerical-looking wizard leaned over and whispered in Fudge's ear, then pointed in the direction of Ivan and Doggett.

Fudge heard no more than a few words, and with a good-natured smile on his face, he hurried over to join them.

"This must be the inventor of the Wolf's Bane Potion? I must say, the potion you've developed has changed the survival of werewolves to some extent, and contributed greatly to the wizarding community…"

Fudge enthusiastically tried to shake Doggett's hand, but Doggett did not respond, instead pointing an embarrassed finger at Ivan.

"Minister Fudge, this is the one who developed the Wolfsbane Potion."

Fudge's smile immediately froze, and his hand froze in mid-air.

On the court, the only sound was that of the camera, faithfully recording this rare scene.

A middle-aged witch in magenta robes was beside herself with excitement. She scribbled furiously on a piece of parchment, thinking that this would definitely make the headlines tomorrow!

If this article were to pass muster…

As the atmosphere grew awkward, Ivan shook Fudge's hand.

"Minister Fudge, how are you? I'm Ivan Hals, the inventor of the Wolfsbane Potion. I believe we've met before."

Ivan paused for a moment before continuing.

"In addition, you were correct to say that Mr. Dougett was my initiator in the field of Potions, and it was with his help that I was able to develop the Wolf's Bane Potion. In a sense, he was one of the developers of the potion."

"Ah, yes… yes! That's exactly what I meant!" Fudge was quick to adjust, shaking Ivan's hand vigorously and making good on his promise.

At the same time, his gaze drifted to one of the clerks, but he turned back in time with the flash of the camera lens, and looked at Ivan with admiration.

Ivan did not seem to mind the change in Fudge's attitude. He was only trying to help because he was worried that Fudge might be petty and hold a grudge against them for embarrassing himself in public.

Fudge, however, became more interested in Ivan, especially when he heard from the Chief Executive that the Ministry had recently purchased magical supplies from Ivan's family's magical shop.

When it was time, Fudge suggested that they go to the observation room to test the effects of the wolfsbane potion.

Ivan readily agreed; he had long since given up on staying there.

Thus, the group quickly moved to the observation room downstairs, where there was ample security to prevent any accidents.

The potion tester was an ordinary-looking werewolf wizard who, to Ivan's surprise, worked for the Ministry of Magic.

"Werewolves are allowed to work in the Ministry?" Ivan whispered to Doggart.

"Of course, the Ministry of Magic reserved them a position in the Department of Sports, where they did all the odd jobs, and when the werewolf couldn't take it anymore, the Ministry would hire another werewolf to do the same job," sneered Doggett.

Their small talk did not last long. Ivan was the centre of attention, and was constantly watched by several Magizoology reporters.

One of them, a middle-aged witch with blonde hair and a large, pie-like face, was constantly looking him up and down, occasionally scribbling notes on a parchment. When Ivan heard someone in the crowd call her Rita Skeeter, he became alarmed.

If he remembered correctly, Rita Skeeter was a reporter for the Daily Prophet and an illegal Animagus turned into a beetle, best known for writing all kinds of eye-catching gossip.

As long as it attracted attention, making things up was commonplace…

(PS: Angels are very slow at writing, as stated in the Upside-Down Speech, and because of the difficulty of the recent plot, it is more difficult to add. Also, angels do not have a hydrology, but prefer to write in detail, and if you revisit the previous chapters, you will find that most of the useless ones reveal certain information, or have hidden foreshadowing. Just like the first book, the written chapters will be used, so please be patient.)
