Chapter 156 - Rita Skeeter's Interview

When Ivan saw Rita Skeeter, he knew he was in trouble.

As expected, Rita Skeeter pushed her way through the crowd, fiddled with her curly hair, and leaned forward to stare at Ivan.

"Hello, Mr. Harls, I'm Rita Skeeter from the Daily Prophet. You may call me Mrs. Skeeter…"

Yvonne frowned, not wanting to bother with the old woman, knowing full well that whatever she said would be made up.

Fortunately, Dougatt stepped in and glared at Rita, his voice full of displeasure.

"If you wish to interview him, please do so after the experiment is complete. Until then, he will not have time to answer your questions."

Rita Skeeter tried to ignore him, but Doggett stood in the middle of the room like an iron tower, refusing to back down.

Rita Skeeter had to put her quill away, but before she left, she said to Ivan, "Well, I'll have an exclusive interview later."

"I mean, if your wolfsbane potion works…"

With that, Rita Skeeter sashayed away.

"I didn't expect the Daily Prophet to send this woman for an interview. She's not easy to deal with…" said Doggett with a headache.

"Then why did you agree to her interview on my behalf? Why didn't you just refuse?" Ivan asked in confusion. He was not interested in cooperating with this difficult woman.

"The Daily Prophet is the largest newspaper in the wizarding world, and it's best not to get on the wrong side of it. Besides, it's not as if they won't write about you if you don't give interviews," Douggart explained.

After a pause, Doggett continued. "And I've heard that this guy can be bought. You might be able to start with that…"

Ivan muttered to himself, 'Then I'd have to have that much Galleon.'

After a short conversation, Ivan walked up to the viewing platform, which looked like a small amphitheater. The stands were raised high on all sides, and in the middle was a flat, empty space.

The werewolf wizard was already standing there, looking nervous. He gestured to the crowd and drank the dark brown potion in one gulp.

Yvonne looked at the clock in the distance. Five minutes to midnight.

As time drew closer,

The Aurors guarding the area tightened their grip on their wands and kept their eyes on the figure on the platform, ready to subdue him if he went berserk.

The werewolf wizard was sharp enough to notice this and made a sour face, although he was grateful when he turned to Ivan.

Five minutes passed slowly under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

The werewolf wizard suddenly began to tremble, and his body began to lengthen. Hair began to grow out of his thin arms, and his nails became sharp and thin…

The most frightening thing was the wolf's head, which was covered in sharp teeth. Its terrifying appearance caused many observing wizards to frown.

On the other hand, the werewolf wizard was at a loss under everyone's gaze after transforming. He looked extremely uncomfortable and tried his best to hide his transformation from everyone with his long, hairy arms.

As Douggart said earlier, the vast majority of werewolves who transformed did not want others to see their hideous appearance.

Despite their noble status, this was the first time that most of the wizards present had seen a werewolf transform, so they sized him up with interest.

"It seems that werewolves are not as terrifying as they are reputed to be, and it is not known why adult wizards are attacked by werewolves every year."

Stump shook his head in disappointment at the terrified look on the faces of the werewolves, which was not what he had expected from a werewolf.

"That's because of the effects of the Wolfsbane Potion, either individually or by now the werewolf will have your throat!" Marcus rudely interrupted Stump's reverie.

As a wizard who had dealt with a large number of werewolves at close range, Marcus was well aware of how difficult and terrifying werewolves could be, and he could not bear to listen to Stamp's nonsense.

The two soon got into an argument, attracting the attention of the nearby wizards.

Ivan's attention was elsewhere. He was staring at the people in the front row. They were the ones who could make the decisions.

Dumbledore's deep blue eyes under his half-moon spectacles examined the werewolf carefully, as if to confirm his status, and then he spoke first.

"It would seem that Mr. Harls's Wolfsbane Potion was very successful… in keeping a werewolf wizard perfectly sane."

"Well, yes, I think so, too!" Fudge nodded with satisfaction. He knew little about werewolves, but he had seen one crouching and shivering like a dog.

That was enough, wasn't it?

Dean Bohan, on the other hand, was the first to approach the werewolf. He ignored the guards' attempts to stop him and ran over to the werewolf wizard to ask about his condition.

The lights of the cameras flashed all around, and Rita Skeeter took out her quill to write something down. She even tried to get in for an interview.

After waiting a little longer to be sure that the werewolf had lost all sense of aggression, Fudge strolled up to the stage and cordially met with the werewolf wizard, and after a long, boring speech,

Fudge smiled and clasped the werewolf's hand, concluding that a werewolf wizard was no different from a normal wizard, a part of the wizarding community!

Ivan wondered maliciously if the Minister would still be able to laugh if the werewolf wizard onstage suddenly lost control and infected Fudge.

Unfortunately, his Wolfsbane Potion was effective, and the werewolf did not have the courage to attack the Minister.

After leaving the venue, Ivan followed Douggart to the patent office on the seventh floor to register the Wolfsbane Potion. When he opened the door, he saw Rita Skeeter waiting for him.

"So, Mr. Ivan Hals, our little genius, may we begin the interview?" Rita Skeeter asked with a smile.

"If you want to know something, of course," Ivan said, shrugging nonchalantly.

Ask away, he's not as easy as Harry…
