Ivan was standing in the attic of a shabby house nearby, looking down and muttering to himself.
"I'm almost out of magic and can only play support. Why aren't you attacking…"
Ivan had already decided to intervene when he saw that Doggett was in trouble. After all, he couldn't just sit back and watch Doggett get caught.
Therefore, he secretly summoned the Unicorn's Shadow and hid it near the battlefield.
It wasn't until Doggett caused a commotion with the explosion of the spell that Ivan found the right moment to strike, lightning fast, and take out the leading black-robed wizard.
Relying on the fact that the other party did not understand the uniqueness of bloodline magic, they cooperated with Douggart's purple flames to deal with the other Enforcer.
Ivan, however, did not expect the Dark Lord to use an unknown magical tool to blast off half of the Unicorn's Shadow's body, forcing him to use a large amount of magic to repair it.
After several attrition attempts, Ivan estimated that his magic would only be able to materialize once, so he remained in his normal illusory state, staying where he was to reduce his magic consumption.
He hoped that, like before, Doggett would be the main attacker and he would take the opportunity to sneak up on him, possibly crippling another black-robed wizard.
After waiting for a long time for Doggett to make the first move, Ivan had no choice but to attack first. Otherwise, his magic would be exhausted.
On the stage, Dougett was unable to get off the stage. The three black-robed wizards in front of him were like tigers watching their prey. He was not confident that he could withstand the attacks of the three of them. He could only force himself to look confident and arrogant, making the other party hesitate to attack.
Fortunately, the Unicorn's Shadow moved at that moment. Doug let out a long sigh of relief, and the members of the Enforcement Squad tensed. They had seen the strangeness of this spell before, and it was possible to switch between reality and illusion in an instant.
Thus, they placed layers of defensive spells on themselves, hoping to withstand one or two of them. All that was left was to throw the spells at Dougett's face.
They couldn't deal with the spell, but they could deal with the caster!
Doggett cast spells again and again, creating magical barriers in front of him. They were not built as fast as they could be destroyed, but they could hold out for a while.
This, of course, had to do with the fact that the Unicorn's Shadow had been harassing the enforcers, and that the three black-robed wizards couldn't possibly focus all their attention on Doggett.
In an instant, the white shadow appeared in front of a black-robed wizard.
"Heavy obstacles! Armor!"
After casting a few more defensive spells, the black-robed wizard did not feel safe at all. This was because the illusory Unicorn's Shadow had passed through the layers of obstacles he had set up, and even the Shield Charm had not worked.
The spiral horn pierced the black-robed wizard's chest, and just as he was about to die in despair, the white shadow passed through him.
I'm not dead? The black-robed wizard looked back, confused, as the Unicorn's Shadow moved on to its next target.
After another bout of fear and panic, the other black-robed wizard who was being targeted touched his body strangely, as he was not injured either.
It was only after the Unicorn's Shadow had toyed with the remaining members of the Enforcement Squad that they gradually realised the truth.
It seemed that this unique spell could no longer reach them, or else it would have kicked at least one of them out of the game, as it had done before.
They all turned to look at Doggett.
Doggett's eyes went wide and cold sweat broke out on his forehead. He hadn't been the one to cast the spell, and he didn't know how it worked.
However, he still pretended to be calm and composed. He only became more ruthless and no longer focused on defense. He took advantage of the moment when the law-enforcers were distracted by the Unicorn's Shadow to counterattack.
"Explode!"
Unleashing Blasting Dark Magic at such close range was extremely dangerous, but there was nothing else Doggett could do.
Understanding the danger of this spell, the three Enforcers set up a dozen magical barriers.
The orange flame exploded the moment it touched the first magical barrier, and the resulting blast spread out in all directions.
Doggett, who only had one Shield Charm on him, suffered internal injuries from the impact. Even so, he managed to throw a dark spell at one of the Dark Wizards.
The black gas corroded the unlucky black-robed wizard, and he fell to the ground with a wail.
However, at this point, Doggett was already at his limit. The defensive spell on his body had already been shattered by the Thunderbolt Explosion, and this attack immediately revealed its weakness.
The remaining two enforcers swung their wands in preparation for the final blow, but the Unicorn's Shadow was faster than they were.
An illusory white figure stepped through the air, raised its hooves high, and kicked at one of them…
The law-enforcement officer instinctively wanted to dodge, but he heard another person shout.
"Don't be afraid! Keep attacking. He's bluffing!"
Thinking about how Doggett was so miserable that he could not even maintain a defensive spell, the law enforcer calmed down. However, in the next second, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, as if he could hear his ribs crack. Then, his body flew up and crashed into the stone wall behind him…
The last of the black-robed wizards swallowed hard and glanced back at the bedraggled Dagget…
This person was really too sinister!
He must be tempting me to attack!
"Phantom Shift ~"
Seeing the Unicorn's Shadow rushing towards him, the black-robed wizard panicked and forcefully used Apparition, disappearing from the arena.
Doggett slumped to the ground and instinctively reached for the wine jug at his waist. Unfortunately, there was not a drop left.
When he looked up again, the mysterious and powerful Unicorn's Shadow had vanished in a mist of light.
"I can't believe the Hales have such a powerful charm. How come Alicia has never used it before?" muttered Doggett.
At the same time, Ivan, who had just come down from the attic and was walking in the alley, suddenly frowned. The space in front of him seemed to have been twisted and torn open, and a black-robed figure was pushed out of the space.
The two men face each other, staring at each other…
