Chapter 89 - I'm a Mysterious Person, I'm Spoiling for Dungbombs!

Hermione, who was outside the examination room, was also asking about the quiz, and was upset when she learned that Ivan had conjured an owl out of a piece of wood.

Hermione had thought that after all the hard work she had put into her studies, she would be able to close the gap a little, but instead the gap was widening…

On the way back, Ivan ran into a scowling George and Fred, who had just finished their third year History of Magic exam and were looking like the sky was falling.

"What's wrong with you guys? It's not time to announce the results yet, is it?" Yvonne asked curiously.

"No, but we must have flunked it," Fred said with a sigh, then turned his attention back to George. "It's all your fault, George. I told you to put your research aside for now, and review your exams a few days before they start."

"So? Did you study hard? Who was the one who stayed in the room until after midnight yesterday?" George asked, rolling his eyes.

"I was studying answering quills, the kind that write their own answers! For exams, unlike you!" Fred argued.

"Yes, and it turns out this answering quill can only write the questions we know, which is absolutely the worst invention!" George complained. He had trusted Fred so much that morning, but he was shocked when they arrived at the examination hall.

An automatic answering quill? Not bad for homework…

Yvonne's mood improved when she saw the two bickering and complaining to each other.

It was not that he took pleasure in their misfortune, but rather that they had a natural charm that made others happy.

"Professor Binns has quite a good temperament. Generally speaking, as long as the answers aren't too ridiculous, you should be able to pass," Yvonne said, trying to comfort him.

"That's right, that's what I thought, so I snuck in a Skiving Snackbox, got a nosebleed, and tried to act like I wasn't feeling well to get sympathy. It went well at first, but…" George shrugged.

"And Fred ate it?" Yvonne had an idea what was going on.

They must have been thinking the same thing. Professor Binns was sometimes a little confused, but he was not stupid. Two students had nosebleeds that could not be stopped.

"So we're screwed…" George and Fred looked at each other and felt like crying.

"I can only wish you the best of luck," Ivan said, waving his hands in a gesture of helplessness.

"Forget it, let's not talk about this anymore. Did you use the Dungbombs we gave you? How do you feel about it? We're going to sell them at school next semester," George quickly composed himself and asked.

"I used it on Quirrell, and it worked… how shall I put it… very well! Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have been able to see you!" Ivan said with an odd expression.

"When you and Harry defeated Professor Quirrell in the basement? Tell us about it…" Fred was suddenly excited.

George had a whole new idea.

"Maybe next term we can put it in a blurb and get Quirrell's picture on the packet. It'll sell like hot cakes!"

Ivan's mouth twitched as he listened to George's antics, gaining a new understanding of their ability to court death.

Don't you have any shame, Dark Lord?

Ivan wondered if he should tell them that Quirrell was being manipulated by the Dark Lord, to discourage them from seeking their own doom.

However, Ivan felt that it would be better not to mention it, considering that they dared to mess around with the Dark Mark during the height of Voldemort's power.

Otherwise, they might dare to put Lord Voldemort's face on a turd with a slogan…

I'm You-Know-Who, I speak for Dungbombs?

Ivan pictured the scene in his mind, thinking that the Dark Lord, who was on the run, might come back and kill the brothers…

A few days later, the exam results were finally announced,

Prior to this, the whole of Hogwarts was in a state of panic, and the Weasleys even used their grief and indignation as motivation to create an amulet that was said to be able to temporarily improve one's grades. It was so popular that even the Weasleys themselves believed it and tried to give one to Ivan.

Ivan, of course, did not accept it, as he did not need it,

He scored full marks in Transfiguration, Potions, Herbology and Charms.

Even Ivan, who was not very good at flying, received an Outstanding rating.

After fusing with the unicorn's blood, one's strength would not only increase, but also one's talent!

In particular, his perception and control of magic had improved substantially, so controlling a broomstick was easy.

The only thing that surprised Ivan was his History of Magic class, which only got an "E" (unexpected), which left him baffled and unable to get first place, as Hermione had stolen it.

Hermione was pleased with this for the rest of the day, but remained reserved as she and Ivan went over the answers, looking for points to be deducted.

"That can't be right," Ivan said, looking at the sheepskin scroll in his hand. "I remember that the ancestors of werewolves were deformed by wizards… and there was no mistake."

"Then you must have misremembered. It is written in Section 5 of Chapter 17 of History of Magic that the first werewolf was caused by the wrong treatment of a wizard who had been bitten by a wolf. Let me show you!"

Hermione snapped out a thick copy of A History of Ancient Magic and quickly found the appropriate contents, which she presented to Ivan.

It was only after reading it that Ivan remembered it had always been in The Origin of Blood…

Apparently, Professor Binns changed it according to the textbook…

Never mind, let the truth go with the wind…

Ivan thought about this rather helplessly. After all, he couldn't possibly confront Professor Binns with that book, could he?

When the results came out, there were only one or two days left until the holidays.

Ivan, however, showed no signs of relaxing.

Farewelling Hogwarts and returning home may have been something to be happy about for the other young wizards, but for Ivan it was bad.

This means having to deal with a strange family and an even stranger and more dangerous new environment…

Ivan may have sorted his memory through Occlumency, but he was not himself, and it was difficult to ensure that nothing went wrong.

The only good thing was that he stayed at Hogwarts for almost a year, which, if anything, could be explained as growth.

Ivan, however, was cautious and took advantage of the last moments to improve his skills and knowledge.

The most important thing was to explore the newly obtained bloodline magic, Unicorn's Shadow!
