This unique blood magic was Ivan's most powerful trump card, and if used properly, it could be used against an adult wizard.
Ivan had expected this to be an easy task. After all, he had successfully cast the spell once, and it was displayed in the system's magic column.
However, when it came to actual practice, Ivan was stunned. He had no idea what incantation was needed to summon Cecilia.
Back then, it was activated automatically because his life was in danger. He couldn't possibly return to his original state and try to summon it, right?
Wait, could it have something to do with that…?
Yvonne thought of the eerie blue phoenix and what Dumbledore had said about wizards being able to infuse the power of magical creatures into their magic, giving it an uncanny effect.
As such, he wondered if his Bloodline Magic had anything to do with the Call of the Gods. After all, they both conjured the image of an animal and had a lot in common.
However, the Unicorn's Shadow was more special and could be used in battle through a special magical entity, which Ivan suspected was because Cecilia's soul had replaced the Patronus.
With these guesses in mind, Ivan immediately went to the library to look for books on the Psalter, and a few hours later, he successfully upgraded it to Level 1.
Ivan eagerly entered the Room of Requirement and waved his wand to test the water. "Expectation Guard!"
Wisps of white smoke poured from the tip of Ivan's wand, and peace and quiet came to him.
Nothing appeared, but Ivan's face lit up with joy.
This was because he was absolutely certain that there was a connection between the bloodline magic Unicorn's Shadow and the Call of God Guard!
For the rest of the day, Ivan worked tirelessly on his Psalter, even going as far as to spend precious points on it.
However, since it was the end of the school year, and there was no way to answer the questions in class, the GPA could only be consumed and not replenished, leading to less and less use.
"There are only 500 points left…" Ivan finally missed the kind Professor Dumbledore, who had never been stingy with points.
Dumbledore gave him at least two hundred points this term alone!
However, this did not change the predicament Ivan was in.
Considering that he might have to leave 200 GPA for emergencies during the holidays, he could only use 300 GPA!
In other words, there were only three hours of accelerated learning or practice time!
"Exchange for Academic Genius Experience Cards." Ivan did not hesitate to begin his first Acceleration exercise.
[100 GPA deducted!]
As the system beeped, Ivan felt his mind clear and his control of his magic improve.
"Expecto Patronus!"
The ghostly white mist reappeared, drifting out from the tip of Ivan's wand in thin threads, like wisps of smoke, surrounding him.
There was a lot more white mist than before,
After a short period of practice, Ivan soon learned the special properties of the Psalter, an advanced emotional spell.
It required the caster to muster up positive emotions and gather them together to successfully summon their Patronus!
Ivan was stuck at this final step!
If only he had a Dementor to practice on, Ivan thought.
Despite being in the Room of Requirement, Ivan did not attempt to use its properties to create a Dementor.
In his earlier experiments, he had learned that the limitations of this place were that living creatures and magical objects could not be conjured, and that it was more suited to provide a venue.
For example, it could materialize a dragon farm, but there were no dragons inside, or a vault, but there was no gold…
There were weapons in the armoury, but they were all a thousand years old, and there were no magical weapons…
Ivan sighed, his mind wavering, and the large amount of white mist that he had been able to conjure up vanished without a trace. He quickly composed himself and settled down, reliving scenes that made him happy…
When teasing Peter Pettigrew, when he needed Professor Quirrell to take the blame, when he hit the Dark Lord with a turd…
The memory kept coming back to Ivan, and his lips curled into a smile. He was very wise, and with a gentle wave of his wand, the white mist around him seemed to be drawn towards the centre.
A long hiss filled the room, and in the white light, Cecilia's illusory form appeared in mid-air, happily circling Ivan, vaguely trying to be friendly.
What surprised Ivan the most was that Cecilia's eyes were no longer blood-red, but blue like water.
Was it because of successful revenge?
Ivan thought to himself, but Cecilia's apparition didn't last long before it vanished back into white mist.
At the same time, the system prompt sounded in his mind,
[Ding, Academic Genius's Experience Card has expired. Do you want to renew it?]
"No, get out!" Ivan said with a scowl. He had been practicing for three hours without realizing it!
He pulled up the system bar and saw that the Puffs had been upgraded to Level 2. Ivan tried to use the Puffs again under normal circumstances, but all he could summon was some white mist… which could not be gathered together.
However, there was a lot more information about the Unicorn's Shadow in the system column, and Ivan found out more about it.
[Blood Magic: Unicorn's Shadow (Cecilia's Shadow)
Prerequisite: Level 4 of the Psalter (Level 2, Experience Card)
Description: This is a special spell that combines the power of one's blood and soul. As a spiritual Patronus, Cecilia can ignore most obstacles and only a few spells can harm her.
Note: Unless the host dies, the soul will not completely die and dissipate after being fatally injured, but will remain in your body until it regains its form.]
"So, I'm Cecilia's Horcrux?" Ivan murmured, rubbing his chin as he read the final notes.
However, it seemed that he would have to rely on the experience card mode to reactivate it before he could reach Level 4.
