Chapter 2 - Shipwrecked and dense fog

The blazing sun was like fire, but it did not feel hot under the gentle sea breeze.

There was a huge open-air swimming pool on the deck of the ninth floor of the cruise ship. Beside the swimming pool were some beach chairs and pink tents.

It was apparent everyone could not hold back the summer heat as pleasant sounds of joy could be heard from the tent.

A beautiful young girl walked by the pool.

She had long, soft brown hair that was so silky it looked like flowing water. It fell on her crystal-clear, jade-like skin, making it look even more delicate. Under the sun, it seemed to emit a layer of fluorescent light.

Her beautiful face has both the softness of an Asian and the deep sense of westerners, a hybrid full of vitality. Her slender neck was like a swan, her shoulders perfectly shaped, and her collarbones were exquisite.

Her graceful body was wearing a conservative sapphire blue swimsuit.

"Hey, Tang!", A cheerful and pleasant voice came from behind the girl.

A tall and beautiful Nordic girl suddenly rushed out.

She had long silver hair, skin as white as snow, and a pair of big blue eyes that shone with a beautiful luster. The girl's facial features were exquisite and three-dimensional. She was a standard Nordic girl.

In addition to her attractive appearance, the girl's tall and sexy figure was the most eye-catching thing.

She was wearing a pink camisole swimsuit.

Her big breasts seemed too much for her tiny swimsuit, and it looked like she could be exposed anytime. Her lower abdomen was flat without a trace of fat, and the clear lines of her abs could be seen clearly. Moving down from her waist, her curves were pronounced, with a fantastic waist-to-hip ratio.

A mature young woman might not even have this body. No one would think that this was an 18-year-old girl.

She wrapped her slender and fair arms tightly around Tang's slim waist and her pair of fair little hands moved all over her body, fully displaying the proper actions of a pervert.

"Ah," Tang squealed and blushed as she pushed away her best friend and cousin.

Tang, full name Tang Yu Qi, is an Australian with a quarter-Chinese bloodline.

The Nordic girl's name was Aphra, and she was from the United States.

"Hehe." Aphra looked at Tang Yu Qi's shy expression and laughed wretchedly. Her blue gem-like eyes were full of ridicule.

She loved to tease this shy cousin of hers. It was fascinating and she never got tired of it.

"You're annoying." Tang Yu Qi said, pouting her red lips and glaring at Aphra with hidden bitterness.

Surprise gasps came from the pool's edge just as the two played around.

"Wow, look, it's a mirage."

"What a huge mirage."

"It's so cool. It's actually a Mirage."

"Oh my god, this is so beautiful. This is heaven."

Tang Yu Qi and Aphra looked in the direction of the voices.

In front of the cruise ship, clouds covered the vast sea, like a boundless sea of clouds.

It was a vast, massive continent whose borders couldn't be seen. It seemed to be floating above a thick and boundless sea of clouds.

The mountains rose and fell like a horned dragon roaring. They were faintly hidden like celestial mountains and celestial islands.

"So beautiful" Tang Yu Qi's voice is soft and beautiful, like a clear spring in the mountains. Her eyes were lost in thought as she looked at the beauty far away in the sky and could not help but let out a gasp.

"It's too beautiful," Aphra said, also attracted by the beautiful scenery.

Her jewel-like eyes bloomed with bright luster, excitedly picked up her cell phone to take pictures of the island that seemed to be floating.

"Bang!"

"Hiss"

Just when people were immersed in the beauty of the faraway land, the cruise ship suddenly hit something, emitting a violent roar and the sound of metal being torn apart.

Both of them were caught off guard and rolled on the ground.

Soon, an urgent alarm bell rang loudly, and the cruise ship was in chaos.

That was the alarm bell for emergency evacuation in case of a shipwreck.

Hearing the bell means the cruise ship has encountered a disaster that can not be salvaged. All tourists must immediately go to the evacuation point to board the lifeboat to evacuate.

Tang Yu Qi and Aphra looked terrified and hurriedly ran toward the evacuation point.

Although the cruise had an accident, the evacuation went very smoothly under the calm command of the captain, with two thousand one hundred and thirty-six visitors and staff getting into the lifeboats.

Each lifeboat sat twenty-eight people.

Nearly a hundred lifeboats float on the sea, following the sometimes gentle, sometimes rapid currents, slowly distancing themselves from the Seidel, which almost half had sunk.

An old man with white hair was sitting beside Tang Yu Qi and her cousin.

He was wearing a pair of jade-yellow-rimmed glasses, looking elegant and easy-going. The wrinkles at the corners of his eyes were profound, but he still looked good.

He was slightly chubby, and his round belly could be seen in his white shirt. He wore a decent gray suit, looked refined, and had the temperament of an old scholar.

The old man was Tang Yu Qi's grandfather, Tang Yuan Qing. He was a professor at the International University of Australia, specializing in the history of China and the ancient world.

More than a hundred years ago, their family moved to Southeast Asia due to war and other reasons and finally settled in Australia. Tang Yuan Qing was born in Southeast Asia but studied and taught in China when he was young. Later, he returned to Southeast Asia for various reasons.

Tang Yuan Qing was sorry for Tang Yu Qi seeing her face all pale and nervous.

He had suggested this trip because he wanted to make up for being unable to take care of his granddaughter all these years because of work.

Who would have thought they would encounter a sea disaster while traveling?

Tang Yuan Qing felt bitter and helpless. He could only think that it was fate.

He stretched out his old and dry hand to stroke Tang Yu Qi's soft long hair and comforted her in a soft voice, "It's fine, it's fine. The rescue team will be here soon."

"There's fresh water and food on the lifeboats. It's enough for us to eat for half a month." with Tang Yuan Qing's comfort, Tang Yu Qian nodded slightly, and the tension and panic on her face dissipated a little.

However, as she looked at the huge cruise ship slowly sinking to the bottom of the sea, she could not help but feel fear. It made her feel cold all over as if a huge ice warehouse had come, and a burst of cold air from all sides invaded.

She couldn't help but grab the corner of her clothes tightly, her fingers turning white.

"Hey, it's foggy outside."

"What a thick fog."

"Strange, why is there suddenly such a thick fog?"

"I feel that the disaster this time is bizarre. Why would the cruise ship hit a reef and sink? Also, this fog is too strange".

Some people noticed a thick fog on the surface of the sea, and they exclaimed in surprise and uneasiness.

Tang Yuan Qing looked out through the window of the lifeboat.

He saw the sea covered in fog so thick that if he put his hands out, he would not be able to see his fingers.

Fortunately, the emergency lights on the lifeboats lit up one after another, allowing people to see the red dots in the thick fog, indicating that there were more lifeboats around.

His brows were tightly furrowed, and his eyes were filled with worry.

The cruise inexplicably encountered a shipwreck and now suddenly experienced fog, this is really bizarre.

The issue here is the fog will affect the rescue work. He only hopes the fog can be dispersed soon, and the rescue team can come earlier.

Although Tang Yuan Qing was very worried, he could only suppress his complicated emotions and smile gently and calmly in order not to let his granddaughter worry and be afraid.

No one noticed that hundreds of lifeboats had deviated from the usual sea route under the influence of the ocean current. They were heading toward the strange land that looked like a faintly discernible celestial mountain.

At the same time, the sinking Seidel cruise ship's distress signal attracted the authorities' attention.
