Chapter 8 - Kidnap a few teachers

After watching the training of the Qing Qiu foxes, Yang Xu continued to walk deeper into the camp and came to a lake that was as clear as a mirror.

The elegant mermaids sat in a circle in the shallow water by the lake. In front of them was water flowing out of the lake, forming the shape of a dragon.

Merfolks were born in water with the divine power of controlling them.

However, once they left the rivers and lakes, their powers are reduced as they could only draw water from nature. Controlling the intensity of rivers, lakes, and seas can set off huge waves and push ships to sail far away.

Yang Xu rarely allowed merfolks to participate in battles and disputes on land. They were born to be the overlords of the water. Could they still be considered fishes if they left the water?

To train the mermaid's ability to control water and most importantly, the ability to work as a team, Yang Xu would instruct them to use their divine power daily to practice controlling water.

Although this method was rather stupid, it was very effective.

The trained merfolk soldiers worked well together, and when hundreds of them worked together to cast their magical powers, they could set off huge waves even on land, as if a river had overflowed!

This was the power of a team.

Compared to the training of the Qing Qiu fox clan and merfolk race, the training of the Azure bird tribe was rather monotonous.

The Azure bird clan had a pair of wings on their backs and could soar above the nine heavens. They also had the power to control the wind.

However, the divine power of the ordinary Azure bird was weak. It is almost useless to just use their divine power to deal with any enemy that came.

Even if hundreds of Azure birds worked together to raise the sand and stones, they did not cause much damage to the beasts. Especially those large ferocious beasts with rough skin and thick flesh.

Yang Xu thought of an idea for them.

 Bow and arrow!

The Azure bird tribe could soar above the nine heavens. They had excellent mobility and the geographical advantage of high altitude.

Using a bow and arrow to kill prey in the air was undoubtedly the best choice.

In particular, the Azure bird tribe added the divine power of the wind to the arrows, which significantly increased the power of the bow and arrow.

The Azure bird tribe flapped their wings and stood hundreds of meters high in the air, drawing their bows and arrows.

The bow was a composite bow made of extremely tough animal bones and wood with strength and toughness. The bowstring was made from the tendon of a fierce beast, which had been kneaded and processed, and then combined with extremely tough metal threads.

The arrows were made of Ironwood. Although they were made of wood, they were as heavy and strong as steel. Under the sun, they gave off a dark metallic luster. With the support of the divine power of wind, the surface of the sharp arrow emitted an almost invisible green light. It was as fast as lightning and accurately bombarded the target floating on the lake.

However, the sounds of explosions continued, like sniper bullets or small cannonballs falling from the sky, full of power.

The sharp arrow landed on the mountain rock, but it instantly shattered, as if explosives had bombarded it. The fine gravel exploded in all directions like broken shell fragments.

Yang Xu returned to the palace with satisfaction after finishing his camp tour.

The streets were almost empty with only a few subjects cleaning them and checking if there were blockages in the sewers.

This was a newly-born country and everyone had their own duties and jobs. This was no place for idle people.

Those people who experienced the escapes and wasteland reclamation especially appreciated their current stable and peaceful life. They understood how difficult it was to obtain such a stable life.

The entire country was filled with vitality and a solemn atmosphere.

 Except for...

 "Hehe."

A group of children ran out from the streets and alleys like naughty and cute little spirits, and they rushed toward Yang Xu, who was returning to the palace.

The fox race, merfolk, and even the azure bird tribe were there.

There were more than twenty people.

The oldest child looked like a five or six-year-old human child, while the youngest child was staggering as if he could fall to the ground at any time.

Their clothes were full of Chinese characteristics.

Whether it was a boy or a girl, they wore a dudou or open-crotch pants.

 It was red.

 It was white.

The child in the lead was a girl from the fox clan.

Her long black hair was tied into two ponytails, and as she walked, her black and soft ponytails swayed with her steps. The pink fox ears on both sides of her head also swayed slightly, making her look cute.

The little girl was wearing a red dudou and white shorts. Her tiny arms were behind her back, and she held her cute little head high, looking like a gangster boss.

Although she was young, she could already cause the downfall of cities and countries, completely living up to her reputation as a vixen.

In particular, her big, watery eyes were like those of a ghost. No one knew what she was up to.

This child was called Qing Qiu Xin Yue.

She was the first newborn born in the Great Xu nation.

The creatures that Yang Xu had created through the ancient bronze books were either young, in their Prime, or unique existences like the high priest. There had never been a newborn.

In the beginning, Yang Xu was also worried about this problem.

If these beings could not reproduce on their own, what were the point of the territory he had conquered, the tribes, and the countries he had created?

The birth of the newborn in Qing Qiu dispelled Yang Xu's worries.

She proved that the life created by Yang Xu was able to reproduce and could in return build a stronger nation. She also proved that the future of Xu nation was full of vitality and hope.

Therefore, her name was given by Yang Xu himself.

Qing Qiu Xin Yue, which means the new moon, was the hope for the nation. She was also the only newborn that was named by Yang Xu himself.

The result of such a unique and high standard of treatment was that Qing Qiu Xin Yue became the leader of the children in the Great Xu nation, often bringing a group of children to run wild in the capital. There was even one time when she wanted to get the other children outside the capital to explore and hunt in the vast and dangerous forest to prove her courage and strength.

After that, she was dragged home by her parents and enjoyed a beating. Yang Xu was quite satisfied with the way she was punished as he felt this was how naughty children should be educated.

Yang Xu felt a headache when he saw the Qing Qiu Xin Yue from afar as he have no intention of dealing with children now. In fact, he could not handle them.

"Hehe, Your Majesty," Qing Qiu Xin Yue skipped over to Yang Xu, showing no respect to the king. Her innocent and cute face was full of smiles, and her voice was soft and childish.

The other children also gathered around but were not as calm as Qing Qiu Xin Yue. Their expressions were somewhat nervous. Their parents had long taught them that the king was a sacred and supreme existence that could not be blasphemed.

When facing a King, one had to maintain respect.

Although the children didn't understand what divine meant and what not to be blasphemed meant, they still understood how powerful their parent's whips were, and how painful it was to be hit.

They stood respectfully at the side, slightly nervous, and said in their childish voices, " "Your majesty."

Yang Xu smiled as he responded to the group of nervous children.

He squatted down and pinched Qing Qiu Xin Yue's beautiful face, which was still a little chubby. It was delicate, smooth, soft, and bouncy.

He pinched it two more times as it felt not bad and said, "You little brat, you are skipping class again."

Qing Qiu Xin Yue was like a little pet, rubbing her face against Yang Xu's hand and giggling, " Hehe, who asked the teacher to be so stupid? People asked her so many questions, but she couldn't answer them."

"Oh, " Yang Xu laughed and continued, "What did you ask the teacher?"

The Qing Qiu Xin Yue immediately perked up, its big eyes flashing with a desire for new knowledge, and said proudly, "People ask the teacher why the sun rises in the east and sets in the West instead of rising in the West and setting in the East. Why didn't he have wings or a fishtail, but his other friends did? Why were the stars hanging in the sky and not falling? Why is the sky blue and not pink? Hehe, I still think pink is better."

Yang Xu didn't know whether to laugh or cry and felt helpless.

He had trained all the teachers in the Great Xu nation, and they mainly taught the people of the nation and the newborn Chinese characters.

As for other things, they were rarely involved, not even as good as the military camp.

The military instructors would also teach the soldiers the habits of various fierce beasts, how to deal with different dangerous environments, and what to do in the face of danger.

After all, Yang Xu's knowledge was limited, and he didn't want to lead his disciples astray.

Yang Xu knew there were insufficient educational resources, but he had no choice.

Knowledge was accumulated, just like what the warrior battalion was doing now, understanding the world and gathering information.

 This required a process.

It was a slow and challenging process.

Sometimes, Yang Xu even thought that if he could go back to earth, back to his lovely hometown, he would bring back the textbooks that had given him headaches before. Well, he would also kidnap a few teachers.

It is not easy to teach and educate others and should be handled by professionals.
