Cynthia ran at neck breaking speed through traffic, streets and even buildings. After a few hours, she was in a dense rain forest and she still wasn't showing any signs of stopping as she bulldozed her way through the huge canopies of trees, scaring the monkeys as the all scampered to safety.
She leaped high to avoid a large rock which somehow rolled into her path, she slowed down for the first time since she left the prison the sub humans put she and Thibaut.
She looked round sharply and stopped in her tracks, she had been in such a haste that she didn't notice four people had been trailing her since she started her race.
Her eyes were still coated in silver and she had a vicious look on her face, Harry had waited for several years to find his body and now that he got the chance, nothing was going to stop him. " I don't have time to play around" she said in a deep voice which had traces of a thinner voice in it, she threw both her arms in curves to all directions around her sending arc shaped energy blasts to all directions. Harry had almost taken complete control over to ensure she didn't pose any resistance, he would have possessed her completely but there was a chance he'd get stuck in her and if he did get out, traces of her thoughts or fragments of her consciousness would be left in his.
As the arc shaped energy blasts levelled the trees around her, four quick flashes of light moved out of sight. That was when she realized she had been ambushed.
She knew her ambushers were fast to have followed her all the way without losing her and doing so quietly too, so running was not an option.
Cynthia did a quick iron bend to a avoid a black nunchaku that aimed directly for her head, created a lunar dome over herself as a mini sized axe made for her stomach.
She did a quick three sixty turn to regain her stance, ready to take them on.
Four masked people walked out of the remains of the bushes around her, each from the cardinal points around her. They took off their masked as they neared her, revealing faces that Harry disliked alot.
It was the sub humans from before, they had a new member who seemed to be from the fire clan of the demon kingdom, the freckles of fire in his eyes did the talking.
As he stared at their faces, he recalled an incident that occurred several years ago.
'The day had finally come for his soul to be banished into a sword alongside the rest of his family, they didn't have any other family so there was no sobbing of any kind from the crowd of onlookers, just jeerings and mockery. His family was one that didn't condone weakness and so none of them shed a tear either.
They brought them to the exorcism ground by giant gods to prevent escape, these grounds was were they cleansed people possessed by demons and also banished souls of evil doers. The process began immediately, Harry was the last on the list and had to endure the pain of watching his entire family's souls get torn out of their body, he heard their screams and saw the looks on their faces as their souls floated into the metal space.
He braced himself up as a man and refused to let the already welled up tears to drop, as he was placed in position to be banished. The collar which restrained him from accessing his pure energy suddenly came off and without wasting a second, he bursted out of the exorcism ground. He smiled heartily and the fact that luck had finally smiled on him for once gave him more energy to run as he easily evaded all his pursuers, he smiled even more, almost laughing out loud as he approached a dark cave. People dreaded the cave for fear of a demon monster who entered it thousands of years ago and is said to still be there but due to his curiosity, he had entered as a kid and found out that there was no monster in it. Once he could enter the cave, the people would definitely give up the chase.
Just as he made a turn towards the cave, a lady running at lightning fast pace ran into him, they both fell and gave each other hard stares. The lady recovered before him and escaped but before he could reorganize himself, they had rounded him up for banishment'.
The female leader of the sub human crew was the lady that day, and she had once again almost prevented him from finding his body by imprisoning Cynthia. He concluded he wasn't letting her past this forest.
" Harry, I know you're in there" she said mustering a mockful smile at Cynthia, " you see, it's funny how our paths keep crossing in awkward manners". she said obviously taunting him about their previous encounter.
Harry was in no mood for talks, Cynthia's fists were covered in a silver light already. The gauntlet she used in breaking out of her cell gradually formed again but this time on both hands, the shockwave cut down even more trees creating the perfect fighting space for a block buster clash as this.
Cynthia struck first, her killing intent rose to a scary level. She aimed her right hand at one of the sub humans who evaded it without stress, she bent low quickly to avoid an incoming thunder bolt. ' hmm so that's their pure energy base, interesting' Harry said as Cynthia parried an incoming nunchaku from their leader with her gauntlet creating a shockwave that knocked them both down.
Cynthia could match or probably beat them all in a one on one fight but fighting all four together was definitely a bad idea, they had mapped out the perfect strategy of wearing her out slowly and then inflicting as much damage as possible and it was working already.
Cynthia was slowing down her futile attacks whilst trying to keep up with the non stop attacks of her four trailers. A nunchaku covered in purple lightning caught her right on her back sending her down, only to meet the powerful foot of the fire demon sending her right back up where one of the sub humans was waiting and slammed her into the ground. Cynthia clenched her chest as she lay motionless on the ground, Harry knew that his only hope was to escape from here and Cynthia's already weak body couldn't outrun these monsters. He had to create a distraction to escape and quick.
The four miscreants stood over Cynthia like a predator would over his prey, they seemed very proud of themselves and the smiles on their faces confirmed that. But not all victories lasts long, several swords came out of thin air with brute force, almost decapitating the fire demon's arm but for the timely intervention of their leader who pushed him forward.
Harry took advantage of their confusion and infused his pure energy into Cynthia.
Cynthia stood looking as good as new, two swords appeared in her hand as she marched confidently towards all four of them. Two of the sub humans and the fire demon helped themselves to some of the broken swords while their leader stuck with her nunchaku, and soon the battle was back on.
Harry promised himself he wasn't holding back anymore and it was evident in the rate at which pure energy flowed through Cynthia's body, she infused lunar flames into both her swords to increase their destructive abilities.
Cynthia sent out fire balls after faire balls, parrying attacks from all four of them, the arena was filled with the sound of clashing swords.
Their leader clapped her hands and strong bolts of lightning made for Cynthia, she gracefully avoided them whilst striking the fire demon with her flame covered swords leaving a hole in his lower abdomen and sending him down instantly. The two sub humans rushed towards Cynthia while their leader rushed to get the fire demon out of the fighting space. As she saw them coming, Cynthia managed her first chuckle since Harry took over completely.
They both moved with immense speed towards her, each grabbing his swords tightly as the struck together. Cynthia simply evaded them both, leaped up and sent one of her swords towards the back of the male sub human. He managed to dodge it but the sword struck the ground with so much force it caused a strong shock wave that sent him and his partner to the ground.
Cynthia landed gracefully next to her sword and pulled it out of the ground, the blast had already weakened her opponents who could barely sit up.
Just as she made to continue her journey, a thunder bolt blasted her left rib sending her to the ground. Cynthia stood hurriedly to face her last foe who was raged to see her team mates terribly hurt, she rushed at Cynthia with her nunchaku.
The fight was at a climax, it even bettered that of the entire team. Cynthia dodged a lightning ball and stopped the incoming nunchaku with her sword, but that was just a cover up for the real attack. The leader of the sub humans thrusted her lightning covered foot at her stomach sending her crashing into tree stumps. Before she could recover, a fist had connected with her face.
Harry knew it was time to go, Cynthia leaped very high into the night sky and landed with so much force it caused an Earth tremor around the area. The leader of the sub humans was struggling to get out of the hole that appeared under her feet when a bright silver light went past her. Cynthia was gone.
Cynthia was terribly injured but Harry didn't care, she ran all night until she stopped at the foot of a large volcanic mountain. She walked carefully to a secluded area and blasted a spot covered with non green plants, " finally, finally" Harry chanted.
Meanwhile, the blast had shaken the mountain's crust and the lava was threatening to erupt
