"Where are you going?" He asked with furrowed brows.
"I-I thought you were sleeping," Mauve replied and glanced back to see Jael's torso partially raised as he glared at her. Was he pretending to sleep as she tried to sneak out?
His frown deepened. "You didn't answer my question," he muttered with a stern tone to his voice.
"I wanted to go to the rooftop," She explained, looking away from him. Why did he sound so angry? Where else could she possibly go here?
"By yourself?"
"I can get there myself," she said with a scoff and tried to pull away from him. He didn't have to make her sound useless.
"That's not what I mean." He sighed. "The door should be locked. How do you plan to open it yourself?
"Um," she pouted. "I didn't put much thought into it."
Jael glared at her with hooded eyes. "Stay," he said and pulled her toward him. "I will be up in less than two hours, you can see it all you want then. I'll ask Mack to accompany you."
