Mauve tried not to make any sound as she and Mill looked at the patches of white skin on her stomach.
It wasn't just one, in a glance she could spot at least five, she knew if she counted, there would be more.
"It's spreading," Mill announced in horror. She quickly grabbed Mauve's arm to inspect it. "This one is the same, neither the size nor number has changed."
Mauve could only nod at Mill's words, she still couldn't process this, or more like she didn't want to process it.
There was already enough confirmation that it might be what she feared but Mauve didn't want to believe it.
The white disease was basically certain death, it might take a while but she would succumb to the disease.
She was sure there was some other explanation. Mauve wasn't about to let herself jump to conclusions without confirmation.
"What is this?" Mill asked. "Why is it spreading so fast? It is all over your abdomen!"
