"That witch, my instinct never fails, she left the farm that day after causing a ruckus," Carie said furiously.
"She caused Delaney's death," I added a bit irritated. I wonder how she sleeps at night if she ever feels bad for killing an innocent man.
"And to think the first day I saw her I liked her. No wonder Grandma called me a whore." I added.
"I really can't tell what's wrong with her and Avery. It's a good thing Mother doesn't believe anything Beverly said."
"I went to her room to apologise for Alex's rude behaviour towards her and Avery. She even offered to help me leave Alex. If I knew where Alex kept my mum I wouldn't think twice." I said nonchalantly.
