With the healing capabilities of the demons Noah's arm was slowly healing. Noah took this time to adjust the broken bone on his arm. It was as painful as you would imagine as he let out a low grunt. The old Noah might've been crying from the pain but after the change in mindset he knew that pain was gonna be a daily occurrence from now on.
After getting that done Noah looked at his surroundings. He was near a river of lava with 2 mountains in the distance and a forest near the foot of the mountains. After stealthily scouting the area for a while Noah realized that the demons living here were all low ranked demons except for the mountains as he could feel a very powerful aura coming from them.
Noticing this he realized that this was the perfect area to get souls. Before he could start massacring the beings here his arm needed to heal and for the next week or so he hunted weak demons and beasts buy trapping them and then swiftly rushing out and killing them. After his arm healed he started his plan to collect a massive amount of souls to strengthen himself and evolve from a low ranked demon to a higher level.
Noah noticed something interesting. His magic stat was 0.6 but whenever he tried to use it nothing happened. Noah had some theories on why this might be but his best theory was that he had get stronger He thought this because he didn't see any other low ranked demon using magic.
He quickly cleared his mind of those thoughts and went out to get some souls. After jumping from tree to tree looking for prey Noah found a low 2 ranked demons fighting. Instead of rashly jumping in like last time this time Noah observed the surroundings to make sure there wasn't anyone to interfere and after being certain Noah slowly creeped up from behind the one with less injures. Noah waited for the perfect moment to attack. As soon as he saw an opening he rushed up from behind and used his claws to pierce the heart of the demon from the back.
Noah quickly collected the soul then turned around to the other demon and attacked CLING! The demon blocked and fought back but with its heavy injuries it couldn't even keep up with Noah. Noah used his hands to block the attack then used his tail to stab it in the chest missing its heart by a few centimeters. After resisting for a while the demon fell and Noah quickly collected its soul.
Noah did this for the next few weeks attacking lone demons or ambushing demons that were already fighting. He quickly gained about 140 souls eating about 20 of them and his strength rising rapidly. Even after all that his magic stat only got raised to 1.0 Noah thought that there had to be a quicker way to gaining magic power. So for the past few days while he was thinking of ways to increase his magic he came up with the idea of the magic potion.
