Chapter 18 - Chapter 15 - Hermione

I stood in front of the class, trying to remember why I wanted to do this. "Just finish your muggle education, just finish your muggle education," rang inside my mind like a mantra.

I looked over the class, and I knew for a fact that most of the kids there were stupid and no-mags. Of course, they were.

But then my eyes went over a frizzy dirty blonde haired child, with brown eyes and pale white skin. Well, not Malfoy pale, but then again, not many have that type of complexion.

They were reading a book that looked like it was for 10th graders when they obviously weren't in that grade. Magic was basically oozing from their body and I had to say, it was quite intriguing.

"Everyone listen up!" The school teacher yelled, bringing down the loud screaming and yelling, so a quieter hum of chatter and whispers.

"We have a new student today, who is only going to be here for about a month. He will be participating in the tests and classes but is not officially a member of the class. I expect you to treat them with respect as even though they are your age, they are to be graduating college soon. I expect you to be courteous." She lectured sternly, leaving no room for complaints.

Although, I did see a few kids who looked like they struck gold, obviously planning on bullying me.

"Now," The teacher continued looking at me.

"Would you like to introduce yourself?"

Since I was in no position to say no, I introduced myself with a sigh. "My name is Hadrian Peverell. As the teacher told you earlier I am a college student, but due to a deal with the government as I'm, unfortunately, 'too young to be in college, and need to interact with kids my age,' I am being forced to go through a month of primary school so I can as they stated it 'keep my innocence.'"

I wasn't lying either. As I wanted to be powerful in both the wizarding and No-Mag world. I continued my education, and the best way to start my journey was an early graduation.

Nothing says hire me, more than child genius and good work ethic written in bold on your resume.

Not that I'd be having any regular office job.

The class went off well, other than the fact many of the students were gaping at me like I'd grown a second head.

It took me a large amount of restraint to stop myself from using my magic to make a second head. How amusing their reactions would be.

But of course, recess came, and after years of living with Dudderes, I knew that Recess = Time for bully's to make their move and achieve 'dominance.'

It was early spring, but a fairly dry day, albeit a bit windy. I was reading a glamored book, that no one wanted to know the name of(it was a bit gory).

For a few minutes, I just enjoyed the peace, but of course, the school gods just HAD to ruin it for me.

The brown-haired child was on the floor of the school, crying and bleeding.

Their face looked as if they'd been slapped and some girls and boys, were surrounding them raising their fists.

Before another blow could be dealt I froze time inside the school, with only me and the child being excluded.

They sobbed loudly for about a minute until they realized that something was wrong.

The child opened their previously closed eyes and saw me sitting in front of them.

"Wh-what?" they said, as they looked around the room, wonder, surprise, and fear mixed into their voice.

The kid poked their head out the door and still saw frozen kids and adults around them.

Seeing that they were getting panicked I spoke up.

"Who are you," I asked cooly.

They looked at me in fear and curiosity and took several minutes to regain their composure.

"M-my name is Hermione Granger. I'm a f-female student here," she said stuttering.

I hummed lightly, my eyes sparkling as I looked at her.

"My name is Hadrian Peverell, and as you might have thought, I did this," I said signaling to the frozen people around her.

"W-why?" she asked, still filled with fear.

"Tell me, Granger," I started, smiling slightly.

"Do you believe in magic?"
