"What the hell!!! You can do that as well. System, I was just kidding. When did you start taking my lame jokes so seriously?"
Di Tian's voice was filled with a mix of amusement and disbelief as he spoke to the system. He couldn't believe that his joke had actually triggered a response from the system.
"Hey
[the system is designed to assist and enhance your abilities, but it is not capable of altering the natural order of the world directly. It is important to remember that the process of spiritual awakening cannot be rushed, it requires patience and perseverance] replied
[The cause of the decrease in the required time period for spiritual awakening isn't the system, but rather you, Master.]
Di Tian was surprised at this revelation and asked, "What...Me?! What did I do?"
"You mean me hatching somehow..." Di Tian was a little speechless by the turn of events he didn't know that to say.
Di Tian let out a deep sigh, feeling helpless about the situation. "Forget it. It's beyond my control," he said, realizing that there was nothing he could do to change what had happened. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. " Let's not dwell on things we cannot change and focus on what we can do for now... It's time to take a breather and explore the outside world."
…
Di Tian stepped out of the cave, his eyes scanning the area for any sign of prey or potential danger. However, as he looked around the entrance, he noticed something strange. All of the trees, grasses, and bushes near the cave had been uprooted and scattered around, as if a powerful force had ripped through the area. It was as if a hurricane had erupted there, leaving everything in a state of disarray.
"What the hell happened here?" Di Tian exclaimed in shock.
Wise One spoke up, explaining [During the hatching process, the commotion was far too great, and the shockwaves ravaged the surroundings of the cave, creating the scenery you're seeing right now.]
Di Tian's expression changed to one of shock and disbelief as he surveyed the destruction. "I had no idea the hatching process would cause such devastation, but I guess this is what you should expect when a dragon is hatching from the egg" he said, 'Yes, yes that's the only explanation don't think much about it' shaking his head he cleared his thoughts.
Di Tian climbed to the top of the cave entrance and scanned the surrounding area. In the distance, he spotted a meadow that lay a couple of hundred meters away with only a few shrubs dotting the landscape. As he gazed further, he could see that the meadow gave way to a grassland with several stiff cliffs jutting out of the ground.
The senses of dragons were already off the charts, but with his
"Grasslands don't provide much cover, and there might even be some predators lurking in those grasses and even though I'm a dragon let's not forget that I just hatched. Instead of going there, let's search the forest for some time," suggested Di Tian, considering the potential dangers of the open grassland, after some considerations Di tian went to the opposite of the grassland.
With a powerful jump, Di Tian's body lifted off the ground, hovering in the air at a height of half a meter. This ability to fly was innate to True Dragons, known as
[Passive] [Name: Flight] [Lv: 1] [Description: Flight as a passive ability that allows the True Dragons to glide and maneuver through the air using their body.] [Note: As a newborn dragon, your ability to glide may be limited]
"Damn, flying is not easy!" Di Tian exclaimed as he struggled to maintain his balance in the air. Despite having inherited memories that taught him how to fly, he was still finding it difficult to master the skill.
Due to his limited experience, Di Tian found it difficult to maintain a steady flight and could only hover at a maximum height of 2 meters. He struggled to maintain his balance and often found himself wobbling in the air.
After an hour or two of practicing the skill, Di Tian had finally become proficient in flying. He was now able to fly normally without much difficulty, it was rather surprising that he was able to learn how to fly in such a short amount of time, but he thought it should be related to him being a True Dragon.
…
After scouring the area, he discovered that the forest was teeming with prey, with a variety of small and mid-sized creatures inhabiting it. Moreover, he even spotted a mountain with a nearby lake that was filled with an abundance of fish.
While gliding through the area, Di Tian spotted a Wild Cat not far from him, munching on its prey with glee. This one had even more impressive stats than the one he had fought before. However, as a dragon, Di Tian felt that this cat was no match for him.
"But now that I have become a dragon, this guy looks very weak," Di Tian thought to himself as he decided to use the Wild Cat to test his power...
[...Are you sure that you're not doing this out of a desire for revenge?]
"Alright, I'm just venting my anger," Di Tian admitted, realizing he wouldn't be able to fool his intelligent assistant.
[This isn't the same creature]
"It's a matter of feelings that you won't understand," Di Tian retorted.
The Wise One kept quiet, choosing not to further comment on the matter, and Di Tian snuck closer to the Wild Cat while using his newfound ability of flight, making sure to fly high enough to not alert the creature.
Di Tian paused for a moment, contemplating the best course of action. He didn't want to use too much force, but he also didn't want to risk the wild cat escaping. With a swift and precise movement, he extended his claws, which began to glow dimly. The wild cat was still unaware of his presence, giving him the perfect opportunity to strike.
"Let's test this one out" Di Tian swooped down on the wild cat with great speed, aiming to strike it with his extended claws.
Swoosh!
The sound of tearing wind filled the air as the feline lifted its head to investigate the source of the noise. Suddenly, with a swift movement, Di Tian dived down from the sky at a lightning-fast speed. The wild cat was caught off guard and left completely stunned by the sudden attack from the sky. It watched in disbelief as the strange creature descended upon it, its claws glowing dimly in the sunlight.
Growl!!
As the wild cat tried to run away, it was met with a sudden jolt of excruciating pain, causing its body to convulse and writhe. Before it could even take another step, Di Tian's sharp claws sliced through its flesh, dismembering it with ease. A spray of crimson erupted from its wounds, painting the surrounding foliage with its blood.
[Active] [Name: Slash] [Lv: 1] [Description: Slash is a close-range physical attack skill use to strike at their enemies with their sharp claws.] [Bonus Effect: 10% chance of causing bleeding, +10% increased physical damage]
Di Tian was satisfied with his display of skill. this short murde...ahm, I mean battle also proves his overall superior stats
…
After the brief pause, Di Tian continued his journey, his eyes scanning the dense forest for any signs of a suitable cave that could serve as his new home. The loss of his previous abode was unexpected, but he was determined to find a new, even better one.
As Di Tian continued his search for a new abode, he stumbled upon a cave that seemed to fit his requirements perfectly. The cave entrance was wide and tall, leading to a large amount of space inside. The walls of the cave were smooth and free of jagged edges, and the ground was covered with a soft layer of dirt.
In the center of the cave, there was a small pond, fed by a trickling stream that flowed from a crevice in the cave wall. The water was crystal clear and reflected the light that filtered down from above, creating a calming and serene atmosphere.
The lighting in the cave was provided by small openings in the ceiling, allowing natural light to filter in during the day. At night, the walls of the cave glowed with a soft, warm light, thanks to bioluminescent moss that grew in patches along the walls.
As Di Tian explored the cave, he felt a sense of calm wash over him. This would make for a perfect abode, a place where he could rest, he felt grateful for having stumbled upon it.
It's perfect," Di Tian exclaimed with a wide grin on his face. The spacious cave was just what he needed, with plenty of room for him to move around comfortably. The walls were smooth and the ceiling high, allowing him to stretch his body and fly around freely. The cave's natural lighting was also impressive, filtering in through small crevices and illuminating the interior with a warm glow.
The sound of running water added soothing background music calming the heart of those listening to it.
"It's decided, this will be my new home," he said with a sense of satisfaction, ready to settle down and make the cave his own.
Di Tian let out a yawn as he stretched his arms and legs, feeling the exhaustion of the day settle in. With a satisfied smile, he lay down on the hard cave floor, but the discomfort didn't escape him. As he closed his eyes, he thought to himself, 'I should probably hunt some animals for their fur to make myself a simple bedding at least. Now that I have a body, even though it's that of a dragon, it just doesn't feel right with me to sleep on the floor.'
