"Huh, where am I? How did I end up here, and why is it so dark? I can't see a thing." Arthur asks, with a trembling voice and a concerned expression.
As Arthur was still confused and trying to figure out what was happening, a deep mysterious voice spoke to him.
[This is the nether dimension.]
"Who said that? Show yourself!" He asks again, looking around him in hopes to find the source of the voice.
[I was the one who summoned you here, Arthur. My name is, Romanov.]
"How do you know my name, Romanov? Why did you bring me here? What are you?"
[I am what your species calls, a God]
"A god? What do you want from me?"
[Your world as you know it will perish.]
"Wh-what do you mean?" He stutters.
[What I need is your help. Your world will soon merge will other worlds you didn't know existed. And when that happens, monsters shall invade your world. I want you to help me prevent your world and many others from burning to ashes.]
"Monsters?"
[But I shall give you a chance to save your world. Take this.]
"Ack! My hand, it's burning! What it this mark?" He yells, shaking his hand intensively from the pain.
[It is a mark given to those who are chosen. This will be all I shall give to you.]
"Wait! What does the mark do?"
[You will find out soon enough. We shall meet again soon.]
"Hey wait! What do you mean? Explain it to me! Hey! Hey!"
[Fair well Arthur.]
Arthur gasped heavily as he woke up.
"What's wrong, Arthur?" A female voice asks, coming from outside his room.
"No, no it's nothing mom, just a bad dream," He replies, placing his palm over his face as he recalls this unsettling experience. "Was that all a dream?"
He looks at his hand to see if that mark was still there. "No, the mark is still...This is all so crazy. What did he mean by this world will perish? Sigh, I wish he had explained more."
As he sits in his bed, thoughts flooding into his mind, his door open. A woman with long glossy black hair cascading down her back peeks in, revealing a graceful physique and the gentle curves of her waist. Her dark brown eyes glistening as the sunlight hits her alluring face. It is Jane, Arthur's mother.
"Arthur, I'm going to work now cause I'm running late. Breakfast is on the table!" She says, running out the door.
"Alright mom, bye," He says, listening as her footsteps slowly fade away.
Arthur's phone rang, his friend, James was calling.
"What's up, James." He asks, his voice softer than usual.
"Hey Art, why does your voice sound off?" James asks, with mildly deep yet calm and mesmerizing voice.
"I had this crazy dream," He replies, staring at his mark as he contemplates on whether to tell James.
"Oh, sorry to hear that. Anyway, have you heard the news about a guy sighting a monster while taking a walk?" He asks, his tone slightly more serious.
"Monster?" Arthur asks, his eyes widening in realization that his dream might have actually been a revelation.
"Yeah it's all over the news," James affirms.
"James I gotta go," He claims, dropping the phone and reaching for the end button.
"Wait I still hav-"
Arthur hangs up and begins to pace restlessly around his room.
"Oh man, what that god said was true, what do I do now? I can't even call the cops, they'll think I'm crazy." He sighs, running his fingers through his hair. "Oh no, mom!"
{Breaking news! People are in distress due to the appearance of what seems to be a giant hole in the sky above downtown and marks appearing on the hands of citizens. Government officials ask citizens not to panic as the scene is being investigated.}
"That's where mom works…I gotta go!" He yells, grabbing a shirt as he runs towards the door.
Arthur rushes out to the scene. When he gets there, he freezes in shock seeing the size of the portal. After observing he notices that marks have also appeared on other people's hands and all were the same except for his.
"Why is mine the only different one?" He asks, observing closer.
A mysterious winged figure emerges from the portal, flapping his wings as everywhere is rowdy, cause everyone's attention to solely focus on him.
"Hey look, what's that's in the sky?" Says a man in the crowd.
"I see it too. It looks like a person with wings!" Says another
As everyone in the crowd is still trying to figure out what is happening, the man with wings speaks.
[I am the messenger of the gods, and I am here to brief you about what your current situation is. The gods have decided to merge your world together with other worlds for the purposes of their entertainment.]
"This is bullshit. What do you mean entertainment," A man in the crowd yells, pointing a finger at the winged man
As the man in the crowd shouts in confusion and anger, the man with wings flickers his finger, slicing the yelling man in half. The whole area goes silent at the sight of this and immediately after, everyone begins to run.
"What's going on? What the hell is going on! I need to get out of here." Arthur yells, looking around for a place to run to.
He runs as fast as he can but the man with wings flicks his finger again and again, and as he does more people die.
"Dammit, why is this happening? I need to get to safety, but I need to find mo-"
As he runs for his life, he feels a painful sting in his chest as he falls to the ground coughing up blood. A hole had been made in his chest.
"Blood? When did- ugh! No this can't be happening, is this how I'm going to die?"
Tears run down Arthur's eyes as he coughs up blood.
"No I don't wanna die. Mom…"
