"Noelle, wake up!"
"Five more minutes, Kiki. Micah needs her beauty rest." Heavy stomping meets my ears, it takes my sleep drenched mind a moment to realize that those aren't Kiki's footsteps. Or Lynx.
It can't be Dante. He's as silent as they come.
I'm afraid to open my eyes. I tried to put the voice back in my mind. It was definitely a woman. But not any female I know. The bed dips as someone sits on it. The covers draw to the side, and they scoot their way towards where I'm resting at the middle.
Hot breath brushes my face, and the struggle to keep my eyes closed continues.
My breathing lays out, I try to feign sleep in hopes that it would send this unknown person away. This is why, I want to keep guns everywhere. And I'm tired of just saying it. I want to reach for my gun. My fingers are trigger hungry to defend myself.
