Why is everything dark?
"Noelle, are you awake?"
"Mom!"
I leaned on my elbows, eyeing my surroundings. I'm in the master bedroom. How did I get here? Lynx rubbed her eyes as she crawled on the bed to hug me, I held her tightly. Still a bit confused about what's happening. Like why am I here and not submerged in water fighting for my life? What happened to that massive brainless?
Lucifer could see the questions, he sat on the edge and laid his head next to mine.
"We got you back here before anything bad could happen. Atticus was able to run a check on you. You've been out for the whole day."
Lynx sobbed into my shoulder. "That doctor man said the moon will surely have an effect on you. And I was worried."
"Oh my poor baby." My fingers threaded through her hair. Trying to soothe her.
I was out for that long? Why would the moon cause me that problem?
