One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten. There are ten steps between my bed, and my door. I've started memorizing every detail of this place so that I can make my way around even at night. It's a thing I used to do back in the bunker. Lock everything. Turn the lights off and practice walking around in the dark. I knew where every gun was by heart. If I was ever blindfolded, it wouldn't affect my sense of direction as long as nothing changed. The house was dark, everyone tucked into bed but I am unable to sleep. Why? I'm preparing. I doubt she'll attack me when the sun is out so I need to make the darkness my friend.
How do I do that? By revisiting ah old habit of mine. It's as easy as that.
