Chapter 37 - •Thirty-seven•

One week later...

Their trek into the mountains was tedious. The two new wolves, Mako and Myth, were all too happy to do some work by pulling either the supply sleigh or Philippa's sleigh. Bardulf was very aware of every little thing they did, but soon relaxed when he saw they were careful. They even helped by being in the back and pushing the sleighs up hills. He decided they were willing to please and would do anything to stay with them.

They kept to the routine of traveling two days and spending every other night to rest. Philippa wasn't able to come out of her sleigh since that first night, but she was always glad when Bardulf went to her at night. He was the only one who rested every night. He wouldn't allow another wolf to keep her warm, no matter how much they offered. He was also surprised when Philippa wouldn't allow the two new wolves near her. She had clung to Bardulf that first morning after they arrived.
