He felt like all the strength had been drained from his body. He couldn't use his vampiric powers. He knew hunters had invented serums that temporarily disabled vampiric powers. His father was most probably using something similar on him.
He got up with much difficulty and sat up with his back against the wall. His whole body ached and he faced difficulty in breathing, a lot of his veins were frozen, which meant less oxygen. His father had left adequate veins untouched so he could breathe, he was an expert in carrying out this practice without killing Xiran.
Every breath was agonizing, every second was misery while every memory of this place was pure torture.
