He opened the small silver box in his hand and took out a beautiful silver pendant shaped like two angelic wings which held a rectangular emerald size of an almond between them.
He placed it on his palm and showed it to her. She looked at it with a twinkle in her eyes. It was exquisitely designed and breathtakingly beautiful. Although he didn't explain she understood the meaning behind why it was this particular design.
She stared at it for some time before speaking.
"Xiran, it's so beautiful but I can't take it. You have already spoiled me enough..." Her eyes spoke her truth.
"Please, it would make me happy if you do. I accepted your request earlier, it's time you accept mine too." He had a longing in his eyes for her to accept what he had to offer.
