After seeing that Xiu was excited to see what new gene he would unlock but he had to go with the teachers since he has now been put into the top 100 rankings in the school and to be exact he is now the top 73rd in the rankings.
And after going into the rankings, Xiu went up on the roof and checked if there was anyone there, and after he knew that there were no people there he put out the common gene box from his inventory and a bright light flashes before him.

After seeing the gene he awakened, Xiu was a bit sad since he really didn't need another strength based gene and after that he used the gene points he got from the battle.
And he unlocked the skills of the gene but he couldn't upgrade any of them since he used up his points to learn the skill and he assigned the gorilla gene and skills to one of his clones.
The skills he unlocked were called, "Gorrila Punch", "Gorrila's Defense", "Knuckle Run" and the mystic skill "Chest Drum", all of the skills were pretty much the same but the defense skills are able to stack up on each other so Xiu's defense was now very high.
After that he went back down and he went to his classes like normal and then there was a class that taught about genes and there are some rare people who awaken with multiple genes.
So Xiu could use that excuse if anyone finds out he had another gene other than the bear gene that he unlocked and after that class he met up with Se-hun during his break and found out that Se-hun was in the top 100 as well.
And Se-hun told Xiu the benefits for being in the rankings, the top 100 get a 1x gene orb, the top 50 gets 5x gene orbs, the top 25 gets 5x gene orbs and 1 suprme gene orb and the top ten gets 10 gene orbs and 5 supreme gene orbs.
Gene Orbs were orbs found in gates that improve the strength of a gene in the human body but Xiu didn't need that since he could improve his gene with the genetic system.
But Xiu didn't think it would hurt to try the gene orb and Xiu went to the teacher who was in charge for the guving of ranking rewards and asked for his gene orb for the month and Xiu immediately ate it.

After hearing that Xiu was now really motivated to climb the rankings since if he could get more gene orbs, he could gain more gene points more easily and he will be able to easily unlock more genes with the gene orbs.
After realizing that Xiu quickly went to challenge the guy that was rank 50 and the guy thought that Xiu was very arrogant but when their battle was set up, Xiu was able to give an amount of blood lust that scared the guy.
When the fight started Xiu found out that the guy's gene was a cheetah so he was fast but Xiu decided to show that he had the Gorilla Gene with him because he used the mystic skill "Chest Drum".
But because he used it he was able to stun the guy and immediately go and attack him, Xiu didn't even use any skills he just started beating the guy to a pulp like the lion gene guy.

When Xiu got the reward he saw that it was less than what the lion guy gave him and he realized that if he used less genes to win against someone he could gain more points.
So he decided that he would only try to use the Bear or Gorilla Gene if he was going to battle someone if it's not needed to gain the maximum reward he could from the guy but the reward was still pretty small since Xiu's strength was stronger than that guy already.
And after that he went back to the teacher to get the reward for now being in the top 50th and he immediately at it and recieved the gene points but he didn't use them yet since he wanted to unlock a mid-level strength gene.
And since all the classes was over Xiu decided to go clear a F-rank Gate, so Xiu signed up for a Goblin F-rank Gate and after that he immediately went to the location where the gate was.
The Gate was pretty easy for Xiu to clear since he already had the power of the rank of Monster Lvl 2 and he was able to gain over 500 gene points and some goblin DNA points as well.
After clearing the gate, he was able to now unlock a mid-level gene so he started looking through the genetic store and he found that some dinosaur genes were at the mid-level area of the shop.
And after a while he chose the gene of the raptor, since the speed of the raptor was incredibly fast and it's strength was above the average low-level gene and it's mystic ability was called raptor's call and it allowed the person to summon a real raptor.
But if the raptor receives to much damage it would disappear but sadly Xiu didn't have anymore gene points to learn any of the skills for the raptor gene since he used most of it to awaken the raptor gene itself.
And also the prices for the raptor gene was definitely higher than the other low-level gene since it is a mid-level gene so Xiu had to get more gene points to learn the skills.
