"Where were you all these days bro", Alan asked as he was surprised as to how a normal human being couldn't understand anything about the current occurrence.
Counting his finger, Williams face kept changing from time to time, "I was running solo a year ago in the demon territory, six months ago I was caught and put into prison so forgive me if I don't know anything that's happening right now".
"Hmmm, what were you doing in those filthy demons territory?"
"It none of your concern"

"I don't get?"
"About the zombies, how did they come to be?" Williams asked curiously.
Alan found a little chair and sat on it crossing his legs, he brought out a cigarette and offered some to which Williams declined kindly.
Without minding, Alan lit up the cigarette and drew in a whole load of smoke, releasing it through his nose, he said, "At exactly a year ago, these mindless creatures suddenly started raising from the ground and roaming about. We called them zombies because they are weak, brainless and non living. At first we didn't consider them a threat and treated them as the brainless monster they were, but who would have thought that our laughable enemy would become our biggest fear." He puffed out then he continued, "eight months ago they unexpectedly started showing signs of evolving, the evolved one became faster, smarter and fiercer. As of now, almost all the races have been hunted down by them, all corners of earth have been razed by those monsters. Recently they are currently attacking the elves and our queen went to support them. Don't give me that look, the elves are still human except for their pointed ears, they had assist and rescued us from multiple attack so we consider this as paying back their favor."
Williams shook his head in regret, if only I hadn't stupidly rush into the demon territory without thinking of the repercussions, I spent too much time wandering around like an idiot. He was agrief when he thought about the time he wasted in a prison he could have escaped easily instead of saving humans, "So what is the current status?" He asked as he was now feeling guilty.
Alan drew in the last smoke then he threw the cigarette away, "I don't know but we got news of the battle status yesterday".
"What did it say?"
Alan stood up and rested his hand on Williams shoulder, "Say, do you know why these camp has being increasing day by day?... Of course you don't. It's all thanks to our queen."
"Oh, if I may ask. Why do you people all worship her like she's some super deity?" Williams sprouted out with a smile meanwhile he was loathing their behavior in his mind.
"Yo bro, Our queen? She's the best, I mean she's strong and has a strong leadership aura around her. All the girls worship her for her bravery."
"Hmmm" contemplating the matter, Williams explored his imaginary beard with his fingers, "If the girls worship her for her bravery, that doesn't means the men will follow her stupidly.... And I get it she's beautiful, nevertheless that shouldn't make you to obey her."
Alan drew Williams into one of the tents filled with bedding. Afterwards, he said in a whisper, "Are you amongst the new recruits... Oh it seems so, then I will explain her deeds to you coherently. Seven months ago, our queen...."
"Wait, what do you mean seven months ago?"
Something wasn't making sense here, according to what Ruby told him, he had been asleep for seven days.... Wait, she said asleep not unconscious.
Alan gave him a weird gaze then he continued, "Seven months ago our queen alongside our leader went to rescue some captives. Fortunately, our leader had fallen unconscious since and our queen had been recruiting people since."
Williams breathed in a cool air which helped him to diminish the grief he was feeling. It turns out that he wasn't in prison but unconscious this whole time.... Fuck! What did this guy meant by 'Fortunately'.
"How can you be light-hearted that your leader is unconscious?"
"Hahaha" Alan laughed, "Haven't you heard he the queen's man"
"Who told you that!?"
"Relax bro, why did you get agitated all of sudden?" Alan brought out an alcohol gourd and swallowed down a mouthful of it.
"It's nothing, I'm just surprised about who dares spread those rumors."
"Hmm refreshing" Alan complimented the alcohol then he answered with a hateful expression, "The queen said it herself"
"What!!"
"Guy, it's the second time already. Don't get on my nerve" Alan complained with a straight face.
"I'm sorry, so why does the queen said that"
"Isn't it obvious bro, she got many powerful individual chasing her beauty. But she turned them all down, saying that she already had someone who she wish to share and heart with.... Cough cough" Alan wasn't able to complete the words he was saying as he cough out blood due to his anger, "I bet that motherfucker has been awake a long time ago but he still pretends to be unconscious. He will die as soon as he steps out of wherever hole he is hiding. Our queens suitors have all been planning his inevitable death."
'Sigh, she even got me into trouble when I was recuperating' he sighed in his mind and prepare to leave.
"Stop" Alan grabbed his arm and looked into his eyes.
"Why are you holding me?" Williams tried to free his arm but surprisedly he couldn't.
'What is going on, I have been feeling weak since I woke up. Now I can't even free my hand from this guy's grip'
He had finally figured it out, he had been feeling that something aren't right since he woke up, it was like an important part of him was missing and he couldn't decipher what it was.
But he had finally unravel the mystic feeling, it was his powers. Ever since he woke up, he could feel his power weakening.
Alan who failed to acknowledge the weird look Williams said with a smile, "Some time ago I recall you calling the queen beautiful.... Let me just hint you on a secret. Words got out that ever since she started using a weird dark element, her prowess and charm increased day by day. Now if it were seven months ago you wouldn't be wrong for calling her beautiful, but right now.... She is the most fucking sexiest woman alive"
Alan's voice was like music to Williams ears, the only thing he could discern was 'dark element'.
The darkness I felt that time, she finally got a hold of it.... It must have been with the help of the mana stones. I have to get to her or my powers are gonna be gone for good."
