Williams sliced through Linda's tent swiftly, he found her sleeping under a thick blanket, not bothering to alert her, he lifted her up and darted out of the tent.
With dewy eyes Linda looked around and noticed the background scenery changing from time to time.
"What's happening!?." She almost screamed out loud.
Williams covered Linda's mouth with his hands, entering a nearby cave he hide with the shadows hoping to throw whatever was chasing them away.
His mind was speedily processing means to escape that he didn't know the position he was holding Linda.
'Why did he bring me here....or is he trying to do it here, he shouldn't have tried to force me though, it's not like I would mind... Oh! His hand is squeezing my breasts, it's my first time being so close to a man"
Multiple thought kept flickering around Linda's mind as she tried to figure out to react and her body started shivering a little bit.
Her shivering abruptly brought Williams out of his thoughts, he released her and held her shoulders in a way that she was now facing him.
He didn't even realize what he had which resulted to Linda blushing even further.
"Why is your face so red. Anyways, listen, all of the new recruits are dead" Williams looked into her eyes and was surprised when he saw that she wasn't scared in the bit, only a little guilty, "Don't you get me, they are dead! Won't you be punished or something like"
"Sigh" she fred herself from his grasp and peeked outside. She parked her red hair which had scattered with a headband, she let out a sigh and said, "Considering that you save me and how fast you were moving, I'm guessing you must be really strong and you will be valuable to us so I will tell you this..... The queen has been poisoned and we have no idea where the leader is. Word are, he is very strong but no one has ever saw him. Our death had already been signed the moment we departed from camp. What we need right now are mages that can hold the headquarter defense, those students had already been tested and they are all pretty useless. It's better killing them than hanging dead weight around"
Williams asked confusedly, "What do you mean by their death has been sighed?"
"Every week, a group of strong mages will come to escort the new recruits to the headquarter. That lustful captain! He's the only reason why I was tasked to escort them, he thought I would come to beg him with my body." She spat in disgust and her expression turned ugly, "I would rather die than allow that ugly monster to touch me."
"You were given a suicide mission, you could have rejected it directly" Williams suggested.
"Then I would be falling into their hands if I rejected it, for disobeying a superior I may be banished out. Their plan all along was for me to be banished so they may hijack me along my way, I'd rather die than be a sex slave."
Williams closed his eyes and sat down, sensing his surroundings, he said, "Why did you have to pass through all that when you're strong on your own."
A self-mocking smile appeared on Linda's face, "I wouldn't be wrong if I call myself the weakest, anytime I try to activate my element, it always backfire and I feel intense pain all over"
"Give me your hand" Williams opened his eyes and demanded.
Linda stretch her slender hand which Williams grabbed easily, closing his eyes he focused on her flow of energy.

He was shocked when he discovered something unbelievable, this woman actually possess the fire seal.
The moment a mage started cultivating, their sea of consciousness will be awakened.
Each mage possessing a seal will always have it stamped on their sea of consciousness.
On the contrary, Williams and all other earthlings didn't know of this yet.
"You actually posses a... gift. It's a thing I should say appears only one in a thousand." He smiled gently at her.
Linda snorted and rebuked, "A gift?.. you have got to be kidding me. A gift and I am still useless, do you have any idea of how much I have suffered this past year. I tried to earn my way up by pushing my body to the limit and contributing to the war. Nevertheless, all I got was loads of misfortune. Everyone wants to have a taste of the beautiful weak girl."
Her eyes got wet as she released the fraustration that had accumulated over the days.
"Sigh, you have not been able to channel your element because you have been practicing it wrong." Williams pointed out her problem.
"What do you mean I have been practicing it....."
Grrrrr! Screech!
Sounds of mutilated animals came from outside the cave.
"Hu...hunters, we are as good as dead!!" Linda fell on her butt screamed out in a high pitched sound not caring for her image in the face of death at all.
Williams smiled slightly, he helped her up and dragged her out reluctantly.
For some reason, facing Williams calm expression helped her to calm down a little bit that she was able to hear his question.
"What do you mean hunters?" Williams asked.
"They are evolved zombies who hunts their prey in the dark and they only eat the brain leaving the body for the zombies" She quickly explain in a shaky voice.
Williams eyes shone with regret, he would have really loved to test out the strength level of these creatures but time was of the essence, he didn't know the current status of Bella's health.
Williams swiftly pick up Linda and he sped away with dense lightning flickering behind him.
His speed hit 300m/s. Whenever he wasn't channeling his magic he was getting weaker and his magic vice versa.

For the following three days, Linda was directing him as they made their way to the headquarter, concealing from danger and zombies.
"We are here" Linda said to Williams in admiration as she was still captivated by how fast he was.
'If only I am as strong as he is, my life wouldn't have been so difficult' She could only shake her head at her misfortune.
Williams gazed forward and what met his eyes was what he would prefer to call a kingdom, as they were many ancient like building built by earth mages.
At the center was a beautiful and huge castle, as expected. Williams knew that she would always live extravagant.
The headquarter was surrounded by a thick tall wall and a large metallic gate at the front.
"If this guys tries to stop me, then I am busting through"
