Diamond flashed a smile at Ruby when she inquired about the caller.
"It's Clarissa. She just invited me to an event," Diamond responded without hiding the truth from Ruby.
When Ruby heard that, her eyes lit up.
"How is she?" Ruby asked curiously.
"She should be fine. You guys didn't talk?" Diamond asked curiously as she stared at Ruby suspiciously.
Ruby dejectedly shook her head before saying, "We haven't. you know how bust we have been."
Diamond nodded her head in understanding. After all, she knew exactly how crazy it had been for everyone at the foundation, especially with the holidays coming.
"Okay. When you have time, just communicate more. You will be attending the same school after all," Diamond said concernedly.
She didn't want Ruby to be a loner. She wanted Ruby to have several friends who could actually help her when she was in dire straits.
Although Ruby had made some friends, it didn't hurt to have more.
