Chapter 49 - CHAPTER 49

In the Lotus Palace main chat group, the residents were going haywire upon hearing the news of the new resident moving in.

Some resourceful people even managed to get their hands on Diamond's photos. She was simply too lucky because she was beautiful, otherwise, the scolding would have been a bit too much.

[Does anyone know where this Diamond person came from?]

[She looks too young to own a suite in this palace.]

[Can it be that she has a sugar daddy or some influential golden thigh in high places?]

[Why can't anyone think that a young person can achieve so much at her age?]

[Ha, who can believe that? I have seen a lot of vixens like her. These girls with pretty faces are nothing but vases and rely on rich and older men for a living.]

[You can't judge the book by its cover. This is a new era. We already have that young boy who lives on the 13th floor who got rich by trading cryptocurrency.]

[That's true. What if she also got lucky? You know some people are getting more creative nowadays.]

[How about we meet her and then ask her?]

[Let's leave that job to 9601, she is close!]

[Yeah, that's true. Please tag her and don't forget to bring 9602 into the group as well.

Diamond had no idea that she was currently being discussed in the group chat. She was simply too busy checking her penthouse out, and Andrea was in the middle of processing her security request, so the place was all quiet.

The penthouse had two floors, which was quite unexpected for her; it had four bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a laundry room, a study, a movie room, and a balcony.

Among the bedrooms, the master bedroom was there with a crazy walk-in closet and bathroom en-suite. The other bedrooms had their own ensuite as well, and the penthouse had everything that one needed.

The most important thing was how the place was fully furnished and she could see that the place was sparkling clean and people had been doing their job seriously before she arrived.

Now that she had seen the house, she didn't want anyone else to freely enter and leave her house when she wasn't there. So unless she wasn't there, no one would be allowed to clean her house.

She would leave the job to the robots and let Andrea control them rather than let the housekeeper have free rein over her house.

She had seen too many movies, and she didn't like what she saw there.

Diamond took out the suitcase she had stored in her storage ring. And took out the clothes, shoes, and jewelry, and began to hang them in the closet and also store them nicely in the display glasses.

She didn't bring a lot of clothes this time and, seeing the huge closet, she couldn't wait to do her best and fill it up. Of course, this was going to take a long time as she hadn't even managed to add more clothes to her Frin closets.

Diamond wasn't planning on cooking any meal as she was going to return to Frin on Sunday. The school project was waiting for her and it wasn't time for her to keep on playing.

She took a warm shower and baptized the new place before changing into a plain blue knee-length dress.

When she first saw this dress in the shop, she nearly scolded the designer. After all, this plain dress was quite expensive.

It was only when she tried it on that she saw how a simple dress could make one look like a fairy and it matched her perfectly.

Her light skin went so well with both dark and light colors, and she didn't need to worry if any color might not suit her, as she had become almost perfect for anything.

Diamond, who hated being complicated on several occasions, also wore black plumps, a silver anklet that beautified her left ankle, and a watch decorated her left wrist.

She was planning on visiting the restaurant on the 85th floor, as she was feeling too lazy to go out and have some food outside. Her small purse contained her expensive phone, ear pods, and her card holder wallet.

Andrea was still in the process of aligning everything, but this didn't stop her from leaving her house. And when she just came out of the house, she came face to face with a handsome face that would make any girl have pink dreams for days.

The handsome man, or should she say boy, smiled brightly at her, showing his perfectly straight white teeth to her, "I guess you are the new resident. Welcome, I am Troy and I live in 8904."

Oh, she was a bit disappointed; the young man wasn't on her floor but somewhere else and this meant that she wouldn't get to see such a bright young man all the time. What a pity.

Diamond smiled back at the young man and politely said, "Thank you very much. You can call me Diamond."

"Such a beautiful name. Are you going somewhere?" Troy asked, seeing how they were both headed in the elevator's direction.

"Yes, I haven't eaten supper yet, so I am going to the restaurant on the 85th floor," Diamond replied.

Troy's eyes suddenly lit up, and he looked at her with eager eyes, "We haven't eaten yet, so I am inviting you for dinner at our place."

Diamond wasn't expecting to receive such an invitation in just less than a minute of meeting a kid from the block. She wanted to decline politely the offer, but Troy didn't give her a chance to.

The young man already made a call and, seeing him telling his parents about her and how he invited her to dinner, she was forced to speak to the gentle lady on the phone.

And at the end of it all, instead of going to the restaurant, she made a detour and went to the 89th floor with the charming young man.

She got to find out that Troy was seventeen years old and a high school student. He had a strong and big body and this was all thanks to him playing rugby.

The young man apparently had achieved so much at a young age, and when compared to her past self, she felt a headache.

Troy wasn't on her floor for her but had been sent on an errand by his father. Thanks to Troy, she got to know a bit about her neighbors and was quite surprised to find that she had a scholar as a neighbor.

The penthouse number 9601 belonged to a professor who was in his forties and his young wife, who was in her early twenties. The two had a toddler who just turned one recently.

Diamond wasn't one to judge, but she was very interested in her neighbors, especially the young wife.

Who wouldn't want to meet such a person?
