Chapter 36 - CHAPTER 36

With a few days away until results came out for Ruby and the other high schoolers, Diamond, who had been signing in every day like a good student, finally received something that she desperately wanted.

To be honest, ever since she started signing in and receiving houses, office buildings, and cars, she had become too lazy to buy an asset by herself.

This was the reason why she was procrastinating for weeks when it came to finding a building for the DIAMOND FARM company. This left Cindy and Agatha to work in the foundation's building for weeks now, which wasn't bad considering how the building belonged to her in the first place.

Diamond finally received another office building, and it was a three-storied one. The building was empty and required some renovations, as the place burned down a couple of months ago.

After checking the building, she was happy with it and didn't even mind spending more money to bring it to good condition.

Her plan for the building was pretty simple, the ground floor would be used as a vegetable store and a butchery-mainly selling chickens and the innards since she wasn't planning on slaughtering any of her animals yet.

The first floor would be turned into a butchery in the future. This way, the ground floor would mainly deal with vegetables and fruits.

And the second floor would be for the employees' offices.

Diamond wasn't someone to dilly-dally, especially when an asset was presented to her like that. Her love for the current renovation company that she contracted with was so great that she called for them again.

As the company was a big one, they had many teams, so she wasn't worried about them stopping her other project for this one. They discussed this in detail and signed another contract.

They promised to finish the building in one month, which wasn't a huge problem. As she wasn't stranded yet with another building already there.

At the foundation's building, the restaurant was finally complete. The stoves, fridges, and tables made the floor look more brilliant than before, and it made her feel racy.

Diamond instructed the public relations department to post a recruitment notice on the page for several job positions for the foundation.

What she wanted was a fixed lawyer for the foundation. One that would deal solely with the foundation and take no other cases, and someone who knew the law, she wouldn't mind another lawyer, too.

Of course, there were so many ambitious people out there so it would be a bit hard, but what she liked currently was that the world economy was very bad.

A lot of people were unemployed, companies were closing down, and they were willing to do anything as long as they got a job and a source of income for them.

She also needed people in the Human Resources department, at least two. One manager and one normal staff. The public relations department manager, two more I. T experts, three more counselors, two cooks, two kitchen assistants, two financial assistants, two cleaners, four security guards, and another receptionist.

Of course, it would be easier if she used the employment agency, but she wanted to pick from the crowd and if she chose from the people that support the foundation, she may receive some good seeds.

When it came to the cleaners, she could personally hire a cleaning company to do the job for her, but when she thought of being charged crazy amounts every month for the services rendered, she didn't even want that.

She would rather hire her own cleaners than do that. The same was true for security. She could pay for the security company to install security alarms but when it came to the people themselves, she would find the men herself.

It was better to cultivate her own forces than to rely on other people's forces. This was why she decided to post the recruitment notice at once.

Of course, she gave the two individuals the details of the exact duties that these future employees would be required to do. Only the salary figure was not exposed.

A few days later, the Perry sisters were in the study looking at the computer that was loading.

The results were out and Ruby had just logged into the Athary Examination Council website to check them. Maybe it was because a lot of people were logging in at the same time. The website was a bit slow, so it took one minute before the results popped up on the screen.

Ruby screamed happily upon seeing her results, and Diamond teared up when she saw how well her sister had done. To think that they were both from the same womb, felt like a scam. They were completely different.

"I did it, big sister! Ha ha ha, this girl has done wonders!" Ruby couldn't help but share this happiness with her elder sister.

Diamond opened her arms for her little sis and Ruby plunged in, "You did well hun, I am very proud of you. We all are!" Diamond praised Ruby as she hugged her.

Diamond was truly happy for Ruby; she couldn't help but recall her disaster of results when she finished high school. Diamond wasn't that bright, to begin with, and she was doing eight subjects then.

'A' was the highest grade for a pass followed by a B and a C. Getting a D, E, F, and U was a complete failure. At that time, she passed five subjects out of eight; 2 B's and 3 C's. The rest were E's. It was a complete disaster.

It was by sheer luck that she was able to get enrolled in Srad and at that third-rate college; she graduated from back then.

Ruby, on the other end, was doing ten subjects, and she passed all of them. She got 7 A's, 2 B's, and 1 C. How could Dimond not feel as if everything was a scam?

Fortunately for her, her life had turned around for the better and what she currently had now, was more than those learned scholars. So she didn't feel bitter about this.

Ruby quickly took a photo of her results and sent them to her parents. It didn't take long before they called and they were on the phone for minutes.
