ONE MONTH LATER
So many things happened during this period, Diamond's charity license came out and she officially joined the world of charity as a founder.
She hired a nimble and hardworking housekeeper whom she calls Aunt Janet, and the other had been looking after the house so well that she didn't have any issues with Janet.
As for the farm, she hired two more employees, one foreigner and one local. She started a project of poultry soon after that and it's been one week since the little chicks were sent there.
For the poultry project, she decided to raise broilers for meat and off-layers for eggs. She was planning on making this a long-term project and all that was left was for her to find some customers.
She still had more plans for the farm but everything takes time and since the farm doesn't have an irrigation system or a private dam to sustain it throughout the year. She could only wait for the rainy season which was almost upon them and start farming.
Another wonderful thing that happened during that time was that she signed in daily and received a lot of good things. Whether they were low-tier or high-tier, as long as she received them, everything was obviously good.
One wonderful thing she received during that period was an office building that hadn't been rented out yet. The building was an eleven-storied one and so far; it was currently empty, just waiting to receive tenants.
As for how much the building was bought for, she only saw it in the contract and decided to close her eyes and pretend as if she didn't see anything.
To be honest, she wondered why the system or other systems were so willing to lose so much when they weren't even receiving anything back.
For example, she had been receiving too many good things and there wasn't anything that she gave to the system for an exchange. As for doing good deeds, she hadn't even started, as she was busy doing other things.
And that also was something that didn't seem to be related to the reasons why the system still kept on giving out in the end. Diamond didn't want to stress herself, so she decided to just do her things, otherwise, she would end up getting insane.
And another wonderful thing was that Diamond finally met another neighbor, and it happened to be a female celebrity. She saw the other when jogging in the morning and, to be honest, she felt honored.
The celebrity who went by the stage name Kisha wasn't actually bad in person. She was very friendly and outspoken. And they also exchanged contact details, although they rarely talk.
Her relationship with Cecilia improved greatly as the two somehow talked whenever they saw each other. She had also invited Cecilia to dinner at her house and returned the favor.
The kids were also back, and they were lovely as heck.
Now back to the current situation. With everything going so well at the moment, Diamond had already planned to go and visit her parents. It's been a very long time since she saw them and with so much money in her account. As she managed to receive more transactions during that month, she wanted to do something for her mother.
She couldn't buy them a house at the moment as the house that could be bought would be very tiny, and that wasn't something that she wanted for her parents. She wanted them to live in luxury, have servants serving them, and just live worry-free.
So, she was going to do something else first while she waited for more money to come. She still had five years to achieve everything that she wanted and many more years ahead for that.
Diamond had booked a flight from Frin to Taco, which was the small city her parents were currently living in.
She didn't book for economy class but went the first-class route. If she doesn't treat herself well, who else would?
On the day of departure, she had Aunt Janet drive her to the airport with a small suitcase of clothes and other things.
She waited in the V.I.P. reception for an hour before she and the others boarded the plane and left for Taco. The flight to Taco wasn't that long, and all she did was sit on the plane for roughly two hours, which she spent playing on the phone and reading some magazines.
When she arrived, she felt joyful. This was the city where she was raised and grew up. She was happy to be back home because, for so many reasons, she hadn't been confident about coming back and facing her parents.
This was why she hadn't been back to see them for almost two years and they didn't even know that at some point she was inflicted with a rash that made her so ugly.
Although she didn't visit them, she called frequently and did video calls. As a responsible daughter, she also sent money back home, although it wasn't much. Her salary wasn't that much anyway, but now things were different.
Her family had no idea that she was coming. She wanted to surprise them, and looking at the time, her parents were definitely not home but at work. And her little sister Ruby will be at school, obviously.
Diamond took a cab to the neighborhood where she grew up. Her parents didn't own a house actually, it was actually quite a toil on them so they have been renting a two-bedroom house.
One room for them and one for the girls. There was no need to get two bedrooms for the kids, as they were both girls. Each one of them simply has her own bed so that they won't share a bed.
When she arrived at the familiar gate, a smile blossomed on her face and she unhurriedly opened the gate. She admired the beautiful flowers and vegetable garden that her mother put so much effort into.
It was always cheaper to grow your own food than to buy it. She had her own key, so she simply used it to get inside the house. The house was very tidy and looking at the photos framed and pasted on the walls; she was emotional.
Photos of her childhood, graduation from preschool to university, Ruby as well as other photos of their family of four.
She took some time looking at the photos before taking her suitcase to the bedroom, which she shared with Ruby whenever she was there.
Her bed was very tidy and with a glance, she could tell that it was being well taken care of during her absence.
