[My lady, if you continue to look at yourself in the mirror one minute more, I surely believe that you will be late to pick up your date. Do you really want to do that?]
Andrea, being the nosy A. I as he was, began to chide Diamond like an elder. Diamond who had been standing by the mirror in the last twenty minutes or so, as she still was not believing what she was seeing in the mirror.
Frowning as she glared at the phone on the small desk through the mirror, Diamond felt like bashing Andrea. If he was indeed a human being, the two of them would have fought by now.
"Can't a girl admire herself for a bit longer?" she sulkily complained as she tilted her head so that she could see clearly the thin golden chain around her neck.
Andrea's emoticon on the phone screen which showed as a white cat rolled its eyes before responding, [My lady, if you don't really leave now, I will not be trading your stocks in the next two days!]
And that was a threat and one that she was willing to succumb to.
Turning her body away from the mirror, Diamond gritted her teeth as she looked hatefully towards her phone.
[Don't even think about it!] Andrea warned before Diamond could even say a single thing.
'Fine, what can I do to him?' she helplessly thought as she dragged herself away from the mirror.
That couldn't be helped at all. After dressing up and checking herself in the mirror, Diamond didn't want to leave at all.
But when she thought of the hunk of a man that she was about to go and pick up, she decided to look at Andrea kindly.
Walking towards the desk where the phone was, Diamond, who had been upset a few seconds ago, was now beaming happily.
"Andrea, I love you!" she happily said as she picked up her phone.
Andrea on the screen, rolled his animated eyes once more and said, [and I love you too. Now let's go. The car is already ready!] doing his best to let his mistress leave on time.
Diamond looked at the cat on the screen with amusement in her eyes, finding it very cute.
However, just as Andrea had been saying for minutes, it was time for her to leave. Otherwise, she would be late and she didn't want that to happen.
Diamond picked up her handbag, which had everything that she needed. After that, she gracefully left the penthouse, which automatically locked itself with the courtesy of Andrea being the housekeeper of the house.
On her way out, she looked at the penthouse opposite hers and found it a pity.
Why was it hard to meet that young wife? Was she really going to leave Srad without even seeing her once?
Apart from seeing the housekeeper, she hadn't even met anyone else from that house. Just what kind of stubborn child did she give birth to that she couldn't even go outside?
Passing by, Diamond decided to concentrate on what was important and try her luck in the future regarding the young wife.
Apart from Troy's family, she had not even talked with other families in the Palace. Apart from the greetings and the glaring once in a while that she was receiving, Diamond couldn't even be bothered with them at all.
She didn't want to be stressed out by other people, especially when she had a load of people who were really aiming for her this time around.
Instead of going to the ground floor, Diamond took the elevator to one of the underground floors where her car was parked.
Thinking about her Dentley, she had only driven once upon arriving in Srad. Diamond couldn't wait to show off her car.
There weren't a lot of fancy cars like hers in Srad, after all.
When she took the elevator, it wasn't surprising that she wasn't the only person inside. Since there were more than one hundred floors, it was inevitable for her to not meet someone.
When the elevator door opened. Diamond gracefully entered the elevator, which had two people in it.
The couple inside the elevator sized the newcomer that they had heard about in the group chat. Everyone was talking about her and was very curious about her.
So, meeting her was actually an opportunity for them to get to know her, at least, and observe by themselves which kind of person she was.
"Hello!" Diamond, who hated going around in circles just to greet people, said it directly and shortly.
Caught aware by the short and simple greeting, the couple responded a bit awkwardly at her with another hello of their own.
Diamond, seeing that, actually didn't know how to proceed. She wasn't really good at starting conversations. The trauma of the old days wasn't completely healed, so networking was her weakest point.
That was why the person she talked to the most, apart from her family, was Andrea. The rest of the people. Unless it was necessary, she barely could even talk to them.
Besides, speaking on the phone and talking in person was completely different.
This was the reason why on the way down and having more people entering the elevator, Diamond didn't say a single word.
Reaching the floor where the car was parked, she heaved a sigh of relief as someone who just escaped from a hellish scene.
[My lady, don't you think that you need to work on your social skills?] Andrea, who had been quiet for a while, sounded in her ear through the EarPods.
"Andrea, don't start!" Diamond warned as she made her way towards the car.
[I am just pointing it out. One day, you will be required to stand in front of the masses and address them. Besides, if you don't start making friends, how are you going to spread your gospel to others and let them know what you are capable of?]
