Chapter 31 - The Handsome New Classmate

Su Yu looked up and the corners of her eyes glowed as if she was flirting. "No need."

Cao Jingjing's heart skipped a beat. Why did the new student look so handsome even though she was a girl? She held her blushing face and stuttered, "B-But, y-you've already given me a present. I-I have to give you one too.

"If you don't accept my gift, then, then I can't accept this either."

After she finished speaking, she unwillingly took off the bracelet and placed it on Su Yu's table. However, her eyes remained fixed on the bracelet. It was obvious that she really liked the gift.

Su Yu raised her eyebrows slightly as she looked at Cao Jingjing's small, red face and eager eyes. She had no choice but to smile helplessly and say, "Alright."

At this moment, the form teacher pushed the door open and entered. She walked to the podium and knocked on the table a few times. All students immediately returned to their seats and the room fell quiet as the form teacher began to tell everyone about the school opening.

Su Yu listened impatiently. Suddenly, the phone in her desk vibrated. She looked down and took out her phone. It was a message. There was no name or remark on the message as it read: [Boss, the goods you wanted have arrived. The auction will start in an hour. Come quickly!]

Su Yu's slender fingers pranced on the screen. [OK!]

After a while, the form teacher finally finished speaking and instructed the students to get their textbooks out.

Cao Jingjing was the commissary in charge of studies, so this task naturally fell on her shoulders. She gathered a few boys to distribute the books.

Su Yu packed her bag and said, "I have something to do. When the teacher comes back, please help me ask for a leave of absence from her."

Cao Jingjing was dumbfounded. She asked in surprise, "You're leaving?"

Su Yu swiftly stood up and hurriedly said, "Thank you in advance."

"But, the teacher-" was all Cao Jingjing could utter before Su Yu disappear out the door.

Cao Jingjing started to feel extremely anxious. There was still the school opening ceremony in a while. If the teachers found out, she would be done for ...

...

At a certain underground auction house in Feng City, all kinds of luxury cars were parked right on its street level.

Su Yu paid the fare and got out of the taxi. She had bought a baseball cap with a large brim at a small shop on the street. The cap covered almost half of her face, only revealing her delicate chin. After she was ready, she followed the crowd into the bar.

"My master, you've finally arrived!"

Ruan Qin recognized Su Yu in the crowd at a glance. She quickly pulled her arm and said, "Hurry up, it has already started."

The front of the auction house looked small and broken and after entering, one could see a hole inside.

But once one got through the hole, one would be greeted by a huge bar and a center stage. Private rooms surrounded the stage from the second level. Those in there could see the others below, but the view did not work the other way around. not just anyone could enter the auction house. The security had set-up a checkpoint at the hole entrance to ensure only those with an invitation card could enter. The bulkiness of their uniforms indicated how heavily armed they were.

Su Yu thought to herself, "Pang Ming is a pretty good salesman."

She slowly followed the person in front of her with her hands in her pockets as her eyes wandered around.

...

The auction had already started on stage. In private room A02, Mo Nian was on tenterhooks. Every now and then, he would look at Pei Jinyu beside him. However, the man had his head lowered and was fiddling with the vape stick in his hands as if he was not interested in the auction item on stage at all. The man's face had a clear complexion and looked handsome, but the viciousness in his eyes was too strong. The Buddha beads under his sleeves were very conspicuous.

"Jinyu, the auction is already halfway done. Are you still not going to make a move?" asked Mo Nian.

Pei Jinyu looked at the auction stage, still disinterested. "There's no rush."

Master Ye, standing beside the man like a bodyguard, explained, "Young master Mo, we haven't brought out the thing that Master Pei wants."

Mo Nian pursed his lips. He wanted to ask Pei Jinyu which item he had his eyes on, but his brother-in-law's status was not simple and they were not that close. He ended up swallowing his questions.

Time passed quickly as the items on the auction stage were sold one after another. Finally, the auctioneer was changed to a younger man who looked to be in his twenties. He had a delicate face, but there was a skull hanging around his neck that did not match his appearance.
