Chapter 2 - 2. This Is Not A Dream!

When I gain my sight back, I already found myself standing at another place. Standing beside me is a fully armored Sil with both a flag pole and spear held in her left and right hands respectively.

I don't know how but after I got here, my body felt refreshed and my sleepiness is gone. With my body being at the peak condition right now, I could think more clearly this time and it was at that moment that I start to realize something was odd.

The trees surrounding me, the flat ground bellow me, and the girl standing beside me, this is all to real to be a dream. I can feel the wind very clearly and even smell the nature here.

But the most important thing to note here was that I was clearly awake and aware right now. My mind was screaming that this is all a dream but all of my senses told me that this is real.

While I was lost in my thoughts, a game like panel appeared again in front of me.

[Game Match - Rookie Survival]

Quest : Survive for 90 days.

Participant : 1.000 Players (Rookie)

Objective : Get as much Game Point(GP) as you can. The 10 players with the highest GP will get special prizes.

Reward : 1 Random Tungsten Grade Card, 3 Random Lead Grade Cards, 5 Bronze Grade Card Pack.

Note : There are many hidden treasures spread across the map.

This time though, I slapped my face hard after I read the panel. I was checking whether this is all a dream or reality but the searing pain I felt from my cheek told me the real answer now.

This is reality.

"Master, why did you slap yourself just now?"

Sil suddenly came in front of me and caressed my redden cheek that I slap before with worried expression.

"It's alright Sil, I was checking if I was dreaming or not."

"Dreaming? Master... Do you perhaps a rogue player?"

"Rogue player? What do you mean Sil? Please explain everything you know."

"... Master, first of all, what do you know about the game?"

"Nothing at all. I don't know how I got here and I also don't know how did I summon you either. I am very confused right now."

"No way! Master, didn't you form a contract with me before by dropping your blood to my card?"

"My blood? Ah... actually, I fell down earlier so I got some grazes on both of my hands, maybe the blood from the wound got on your card."

"Huh?? Then where did you get my card, master? I don't want to brag but I'm still a gold grade card which is quite a rarity to have and I could even say that I am on of the top card in the gold grade."

"Well honestly, I accidentally found your card in my house backyard so it's all purely a coincidence. Now that you already know about my situation, can you explain this 'game' you are talking about before."

Sil was bewildered by what I just said but she then continue to explain about the game to me.

"*Sigh* So master, I have to say this first, you are very lucky to get my card for your first card."

After that she start to explain about the game to me. In conclusion the game is all about ranking and survival.

I can get strong, rich, and many other things as well from the game but in exchange to get that, I need to win matches and be on the top of most of the game.

There are many types of match in this game and from what she knew, the system that control the game has existed a very very long time ago.

The system runs randomly but it can affect all kinds of intelligence life forms. There are many planets and race out there that have all of their population as a player but there also worlds just like where I came from that only have a small number of players with many kind of reasons.

Players are people that have come to contact with a card and make a contract with it. When the contract is made, they are naturally got bound by the game system. A player will also join the faction of the first card they contract with. Since Sil is from the Imperian faction, I automatically joined that faction as well.

Usually a random card can be founded in many places across the universe but most of them were iron grade cards, and if someone got lucky, they can even find an lead grade one that's why she was very surprised when I told her that I found her card on a random ground.

From what she said, there are 10 grades of cards starting from Iron as the lowest, then Lead, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, Methinum, Ultrinium, and Titanium as the highest.

There cards also divided into several types and factions as well. For the types, it was divided into 5 types, miscellaneous, artifacts, spells, skills, and followers. While for factions it was divided into 8, Naturia, Imperian, Runedite, Dragonor, Skulldrow, Mechajin, Etheria, and Crazmad.

Miscellaneous cards can contain GP, character attributes, or any other kind of cards that are nor under the other 4 types of cards. Artifacts cards can be used to summon armors, weapons, and many other things as well which has special power. Spell cards can be used to summon all kinds of magic but in exchange it use players mana but the card will disperse after use.

Different from how spell card works, Skill cards can grant a player or even a follower a skill. It can be active or passive type of skill. Skill card is the most rarest types of cards from all 5 types existing cards.

The last one is follower cards which can be used to summon all kind of followers costing the player spirit. There many copies of the same card in the follower type cards but it only applies silver grade and bellow.

While starting from the gold grade, there are limited copies of the same card and some times there is only 1 of it kind. There is only 1 Silvanaz card exist in the entire universe, that's explain how rare her card is.

As for where this cards came from, most of them were captured from a real form in the universe. Just like how Silvanaz, a former general from a fallen world got captured and turned into a card.
