Chapter 3 - 3. Factions

As for the 8 factions, each of them has their own merits and demerits. Naturia cards have low cost and have a huge advantage to be played in a forest terrain but most of Naturia card have low attack and defense as well but their strong natural skills compensate for it. Naturia players of course have a strong connection to nature, that's why their spirit value is doubled so that they can summon more followers.

Imperian cards have effects that can affect other Imperian cards like adding damage or giving armors and stuff. Imperian cards cost can be said on the middle low side but the demerit here is that they won't be that strong if the cards were played along, after all this faction is all about team fight.

The Imperian cards also have 'rank' starting from Soldier, then Captain, Commander, General, then the last rank and also the highest, Marshal. The low rank cards cost less while the high rank cards cost more but cards starting from the commander rank above have special faction skills that have various effects such as Sil skill to reduce cost and add power to soldiers.

Runedite cards is almost the same with spell cards, but the difference here is that Runedite spell cards cost spirit instead of mana and will not disperse after use but fell on a cool down. Unlike how if a follower was summoned and your spirit got consumed all the time, since Runedite spell cards only consumed the spirit when used, the player spirit will recover by time.

Of course Runedite faction also have followers cards and not just spell cards. The advantage of Runedite player is that they can learn the spell card and use them themselves later on but of course with a price that only they know.

Dragonor faction has the most strongest cards among the other factions. As the faction name implicate the cards, this faction cards is all related to dragons. Though the cards were very strong in this faction, it also required a very high cost of spirit to be used.

Even the low grade one though not that strong, has a very high health. Though the player from this faction can actually use their follower cards to integrate themselves with it as it cost half of the original price but in exchange, they have to fight using their own body.

Skulldrow cards involve with deaths and dark creatures. In this universe, once a follower is dead after being summoned, the said card will disperse and return to the game system itself, but this rule does not work the same only to the Skulldrow faction.

Skulldrow players instead of having spirit, they have Nethrion that can be used to play their cards. They can get Nethrion from killing other living beings but in exchange they cannot generate Nethrion by themselves unlike mana and spirit. When a follower of this faction die, the player can revive the card in exchange of a high cost of nethrion.

Mechajin cards involve with robots and mechanics. Most of the cards in this faction are actually low grades one but they have a special ability that only they have among the 8 factions. Mechajin cards actually can be combined with other Mechajin cards to produce a stronger follower.

There are also some high grade cards that need some other lower grade cards to be summoned first before it can be summoned. Mechajin cards has their own combination recipe and cannot be combined randomly, but they still have high defense and power.

Etheria cards involve with divinity. Etheria players have Etherion instead of spirit, similar to Skulldrow players. Etherion can be gathered by being worshiped or being treated as a divine being by normal living being. Etheria players are the most rarest player among the 8 faction but it also one of the most powerful one as it is hard to survive as a player from this faction.

Most of the legend that exist in every worlds about divine gods are actually players from this faction that has grown very strong. The weakness of this faction is that they need people to worship them to gain Etherion and that's why most of the players from this faction acts like a benevolent god and help normal people in remote worlds to get Etherion and if their enemies destroyed those worlds then the player Etherion collective rate will be reduced by a huge margin.

Crazmad cards are the most unpopular cards among the 8 factions because most of their cards only have insane followers that cannot be reasoned with though in exchange they have high attack, defense and health. Another crazy ability of this faction player is that they can use their own health instead of their spirit to summon their followers. Of course unlike spirit that will be consumed all the time, the health of the player will recover though 4 times slower than their original recovery rate.

For now I can only participate in low ranks matches while there also exist matches that involves a few worlds and all of the players that habits it. Even a whole world can be turned into a card.

The whole universe is involved in this huge game called Carta Planar.

Anyway that's the gist of it and now that I already become a player, I need to do my best to survive and even better, to win.

"Do you understand how ridiculous your luck is master for having a gold grade card in the rookie stage?"

"I got it already, you should calm down to Sil."

"Oh, I'm sorry for my bad conduct master. Anyway master, I think we should get going right away and try to find a shelter."

"Well that's a good start, let's go Sil."

Without any clue where we are right now, we decided to just go walk north. I kept asking Sil about the game while we were walking and Sil even hunt two rabbits for dinner.

Since I was thrown into this kind of world without notice and were focusing to much on learning about the game, as dumb as I am sometimes, I had forgotten that we don't have any ration.

Fortunately Sil here knows our current priorities and now we don't have to starve the night away. With no other event happening for the rest of the day, the sky then start to darken and not long after, night came.
