Chapter 6 - Noxes

Careful not to blink my eyes as he would gladly take that to get me.

The entire scenero was eerily quiet as we all watched each other intently. The other vampires seemed a bit relaxed because they were so confident that their leader has this, had me under his control which I wouldn't permit.

" Queen, you are stubborn than I expected" He said calmly as he moved on super fast reflexes again to my back and gave me a strong hit on my neck.

I blacked out.....

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

What seemed like several hours later,

My eyelashes fluttered before flying open with surprise. I was staring at a sky filled with beautiful stars and the grey crescent moon was the most captivating. The night sky was shining and bright and... so beautiful.

Wait... where was I?

I could sense I was moving and my body was feeling uncomfortable on the hard, very hard surface I laid.

Abruptly, I jerked up and got to know what was happening.

" Damn... ". My head was aching alot. I can recall that the hazel haired guy made me black out. I only rubbed my temples gently.

I looked up ahead me and squinted my eyes dangerously. Hours ago, the hazel haired guy made me go unconscious and here I was, carried away by some unknown trio of men, which he was not part of.

My eyes fell on the back of three men in black all riding on different horses. Surely they were the same as earlier today. I was being taken away, that struck me strongly. Despite all my stubbornness to go away with them, I still ended up in my undecided fate.

No! It was not undecided because I knew from any moment now, my head will be rolling on the floor soaked in my own blood. Yeah, that was what was gonna happen.

I looked round me and we were surrounded with tall trees and the path we followed was a thin straight line, like a long aisle between two walls about to collide, where I was kept, it was a cage dragged away by two brown horses. A cage with the bars securely covered in thorns, sharp and scary looking thorns. I can't even imagine this plunging through my delicate skin. What in the gods name was this?. Is this how the vampires keep their prisoners? So it was impossible for me to escape.

Just how great it was for me.

" You!" I called out in a demanding pitch at the man on the white horse.

He was much closer to me than the other two and I could see his movement slowed a bit but he did not turn.

" Hey!". I called out again more loudly as I glared at his back view. He didn't give a response to me the first time and I was relentless.

No response from him again.

Ouch! how rude.

I tried to stand up but something stronger than I was restrained my movement. I looked down at my hands and saw that they were binded with thick and black chains. I struggled to get my hands out of the tight grip, totally impossible.

" why won't you answer me?". I asked in a shout and finally, the man stopped.

I raised my brows in content as I saw the man slowly turn to me.

I gasped with shocked eyeballs. This guy, the same with my dream. The one with black raven hair. That was HIM.

" It's you...". My eyes were trying to take in every features of his face so I can be properly convinced that this was the same person.

The man raised a brow at me and I scoffed before rolling my eyes. I currently could not pin point where exactly I got all this courage from.

At first, I behaved like a cat that was bitten with a heavy rain, shivering at the sight of mere danger. That was the humans. I could fight them, so can Renee.

Oh my words! Renee! Was she alright?

Of course, she would be . She is brave and can do it on her own. I'm sure she would find me very soon, either this night or perhaps at dawn. Earnestly, I prayed it would be come to pass for me.

" queen, save your energy for the latter as you will call on the human gods to save you". He spoke darkly and I pouted my lips as I watched him turn back and began riding again.

' save my energy for the latter, Hun?'. I scuffed unbelievably inwardly as I turned my head to look at the nature. It was not bright but the light from the moon was illuminating the whole place, giving a dim but interesting view to catch. The last beautiful place I would see before I die.

" Death....". I muttered bitting my lower lip in pain and anger. Death want to take over and I would never let it to. It took my parents, I don't know of Renee. It was dauntingly difficult not to believe that Renee was dead. I was just trying to have faith in her and stay far from the worst. Death was much more like a curse, I was a curse. I was cursed.

Not only did I possess forbidden magic that the humans never agreed with, I would soon die in the hands of the people the prophesy said would bring to a satisfying end.

I twitched my mouth at my sorry fate and turned to look at the raven haired guy, thinking of something to do fast to escape and called out to him.

" Can you do me a favor?". I asked despite fully aware that he won't. I was still hoping.

" What is it?". the man replied and his reply really surprised me. I wasn't expecting that...

" Uhm...you see. I'm pressed pretty badly and I need to ease my self ". I squeezed my palms, hopefully.

" I'm sorry queen, you can't be allowed".He said and I licked my lips, disappointed. It seemed like he saw through my lie.

" I am going to die, anyway. Why can't you just fulfill my last wishes. And if you think I am going to escape...it's not gonna happen". I spoke again and the one in his front turned at me and I blinked my eyes couple of times.

I was startled with the gaze he gave to me. It was dangerously dangerous.

He was listening to all what I was saying.

" Keep it down, queen if you don't want the Noxes to come after you". he threatened me and his threat was quite a good one. The one that just spoke to me had the same shade of black with the first one but his was shorter.

" The Noxes...". I muttered in a gasping tone. I have heard alot of those beasts and they were very daunting. Confronting them was just like involving in a risk.

Apparently, they were ugly from what I heard. They had three heads and stood on two legs. But they have six arms that had fingers sharper than claws, and their skin was thick and slimy with green irritable fluid drooling out of their mouths. Their eyes were as big as a human head and their mouth, nothing to write home about. Well, it was so large that it could swallow a whole human up without a struggle.

They feared me.

" oh yes, the Noxes. You blab one more word and it would come running at you before swallowing your damn annoying self into it's belly". the vampire threatened again and I hugged my body.

This one seemed pretty savage. He was not gentle like the remaining.

" talkative...." I said in a low incontinious indistinct sound and looked at him, realising that he was staring hardly at me. He heard me!
