The vast land stretched away further before them in a gentle curve, till perspective drew it into one with the exit of the forest. Heading further into the vampire's coven. They halted when they came in front of a tall fence. Mortica proceeded and felt its thickness. She then gave it a hard punch, frowning she gave it another, then a third. She withdrew her fist and examined it closely. There was no sign nor crack whatsoever on the fence. Turning her back she glared at the werewolves.
"Well, don't just stand there, help me would you? We need to break this fence down to enable us to pass through!"
About seven huge werewolves proceeded forward and began punching the fence hard, tearing it down. In the process causing chaos. Midnight was already a few minutes away and inky darkness enveloped the land. The full moon balanced on the clouds, as the werewolves began punching their way through the fence, and It began to tear down bits by bit.
Giggling and lost in thoughts with excitement, Mortica stood by the side with her eyes wide open."Yeah that's right, bring it down would you, they won't know what hit them" she kept hyping them.
The warmth from the night breeze blew on them, and with a last heavy blow, the fence came crashing down with a heavy rumble. Unable to conceal her happiness, Mortica shrieked with joy. Finally, the day she had been waiting for is here. She would be the first female werewolf to win a battle with the vampires, capture slaves and restore their title as the strongest immortal creatures.
Unable to speak no more, Mortica throttled down and began to make her way through the debris.
"C'mon, she beckoned the pack, we have to get there before that sneaky vampire, before he spills the news that we're here"
They hurried out in their numbers. Werewolves of all ranks hurried in and prepared to tear anyone apart from them into pieces.

Mortica stood on a rock puzzled, frown lines etched on her forehead as she kept wrinkling her nose trying to sniff out any intruder. She kept turning in circles her eyes wandering everywhere including the tree tops. In the past few minutes they arrived here, they were yet to spot any vampire. They were only welcomed to a chill and quiet environment. They were no shadows or animals around but everywhere a pearly stillness. So to her, that was what seemed illusive and without a definition.
Her eyes pricked and her eyes icy blue as they turned towards a direction, as she suddenly heard a heartbeat different from her kind. Claws stretched out ready to attack. The door was kicked open with force as it smashed and was sent flying. Mortica launched an attack on the shadow that was emerging out of the house. Claws ready to strike. The shadow ducked and Mortica's strike missed.
"WHAT THE HELL MORTICA!" Gabriella screamed
"Gabby?, What were you doing there?" Mortica asked cursing her sixth sense. Inwardly blaming her instinct
"What were you doing, are you planning on killing me, and blaming it on the vampires to cover your trail?, Just so you know that won't work, you won't succeed" she blurted out looking angry
"What, don't be ridiculous, it was just a mistake"
"A foolish mistake. You're making a mistake that can cause my life huh?, What if I wasn't quick enough, that could have caused my life"
Mortica averted her gaze away from the girl's face and looked over her shoulder, then looked behind her swiftly, glancing and listening to confirm that they were utterly alone. For a moment her movements were almost furtive cause Gabriella never took her soul-piercing gaze away from her.
Holding her breath she spoke to the girl. "I know we've never quite gotten along since I came into your life. But I want to let you know that..."
"Save your breath lady, Gabriella cut her off, you're going to need it for the unnecessary war you're about to begin," she said and began to move away
"Gabby wait, she said but the girl kept on moving away, Gabby, please wait, hear me out. As she said the girl stopped in her steps. Taking a deep breath she spoke, is it now or never. I know this is a bad moment to say this but, you need to know that I would never hurt you, I know you don't like me and you want me gone by all means necessary. I mean I would do that if I were you. She listened to Gabriella's heartbeat, it was calmer than it was before, seems she was making progress. She continued, I want you to know that I would protect you, and do anything in my power to make you like me, anything at all" she concluded staring at the girl who hadn't moved an inch
"Is that all?" She finally spoke
"Errr.. for now, yeah" her brows etched in disappointment
"Good, she spoke and began to leave, taking three steps forward, she turned her back and launched her steps forward speedily duck, she told her and caught a shadow that was about to strike Mortica in mid-air, and effortlessly sent it flying, crashing hard on a fence
Shocked Mortica blinked and regained herself, they both sped towards the direction the shadow had fallen. Mortica found it and picked it up with a hand and effortlessly dragged it out.
"Celestine? What are you doing here?"
"Mortica, back off he's a vampire, no wonder I couldn't hear the heartbeat. Fucking dead creatures" Gabriella yelled to her mother
"Yeah, I know, Mortica replied calmly, he's a good vampire" she lied
"What!, Gabriella yelled looking at Mortica like she had grown two heads, there are no good vampires. she concluded as she released half her claw and moved forward intending to strike him down. Hand him over" she demanded, her eyes becoming clear yellow.
"Gabby calm down, Mortica said, the vampire still on her right hand, he's a good guy"
"There are no good guys, you said that yourself, you said we kill all the vampires"
"Well I did...but make an exception for this one" she shook the vampire on her hand
"What are you talking about?" Gabriella wrinkled her forehead
"I'll explain later okay? Celestine where is everyone, did they know we were planning an attack and fled, how come everywhere is empty?" She threw numerous questions at him.
In a choking voice, the vampire replied" would reply to your question when you drop me down"
Mortica gently put him down and apologized "I'll show you their hideout, but first, you must ensure your part of the deal is kept," Celestine said mischievously
Gabriella kept staring at the two of them. Visibly lost in their discussion. Trying to figure out what deal her mother had with a vampire.
"Of course, only if we win the war. But of course, we would. So you have nothing to worry about"
Celestine calmly listened to her heartbeat, she wasn't lying. Nodding his head he replied to her"Better that's all I needed to hear, follow me" he said and led them away
~~~~~At the outskirts of Jupiter ~~~~~
Celestine led a pack of werewolves to the cave the vampires who couldn't defend themselves were. The tunnel at the outskirts of Jupiter, where Azazel had instructed them to stay till the war ended. Drawing nearer Mortica could feel the dark aura from the cold-blooded creatures. A sick smile played on her face.
[Mortica I can feel their presence] Gabriella telepathed
[Yeah me too, make sure that the gate to the cave is not shielded and make sure the park gets ready It's not going to be a funny scene ] she instructed
Gabriella left her.
"This is their hideout location, just tell your park to do the needful" Celestine calmly told her
"Terrific, her gaze swept the land, it is so hidden that neither I nor the park could have spotted it. Your leader did a good job at keeping his people safe" she said smirking
He replied with a nod. "I need to go join the others, I don't want them to find out I left the coven," he said giving her a knowing wink
Rolling her eyes Mortica frowned a little" don't give me that look, what we had ended a long time ago"
"Alright, he began to leave, ohh...and one thing, no matter what happened, I was never here" he concluded and leaped into the sky.
Staring after him, Mortica stood for a second and faced her pack. Gabriella gave her a signal that they were ready., "well then what are we waiting for for. CHARGE!" they yelled and began their attack.

Inside the cave was utter silence as the vampires who needed to communicate were talking in hush tones. But not occasionally. Azazel had instructed nine trained vampire warriors to guard the cave should anything happen. So there were just nine males and a few ladies, the rest were the little ones.
They sat down in the old cave nursing the little ones and assuring themselves that everyone not in the cave would be alright. Suddenly they became alert as they heard a heartbeat approaching. That was weird as vampires don't have a heart. So concluding it must be the werewolves, the warriors became alert and rose to their feet speedily.
"I think they've spotted us, how is that possible"
"We're under attack"
'we should leave now, through the tunnel, now we can"
They began panicking and their faces were etched with worry.
"Take a deep breath women, we can't take any rash decision now"
As the heartbeats increased, they were certain they had been surrounded by werewolves.
"What should we do now?" They asked the warriors
Unsure about what to do "quick you two, take the little ones and follow the underground tunnel, it would take you back to the coven hall" he directed the warrior
The Warriors took the little ones and stole away. The ones left behind stood still listening at first frightened. Suddenly they heard footsteps approaching their cave alongside voices. GBAM, their cave door was sent flying. The wooden door pierced a vampire forehead and immediately, she burnt to dust. Seeing the terrifying sight a lady shrieked in horror.
"Pull yourself together, we ....." A werewolf launched at him immediately and began ripping his face out. The werewolves rushed in and laid a raid in the cave. Mortica emerged, a triumphant smile playing on her face.
"We're hereee. Is been a while since we saw creatures like you. Did you miss us?".....
