Chapter 40 - Zubair Met Khalid

A guard of the fort came running. Naheed hid her face in her dupatta and sat up.

The guard said. Khalid is putting the saddle on the horse.

They don't listen to me.

They don't even know the way to Brahmanabad.

If an accident happens, Gungo will not leave me alive.

Do you ban them?

For a moment, Maya's heart sank.

Then it started throbbing loudly.

She got up and rushed out of the fort.

His heart was saying it.

"Khalid do not go! please do not go!

I can bear the grief of my brother, but I cannot live without you. Khalid have mercy on me.

Khalid! Khalid!! "

Outside the fort, Khalid was holding the bridle of the horse and had placed one foot in the stirrup.

Maya shouted while running, stay, stay for God!!

Don't go alone! I am with you ?

Saying this, he took hold of the reins of the horse.

Khalid took his foot out of the stirrup and started looking at Maya, a little worried.

In such a long time, Naheed had also come out.

Maya turned to Naheed and said,

Sister, stop them!

They are going to die.

Naheed approached them and said.

Khalid!

If there was any interest in your going, I would not have stopped your way despite this helplessness. You can't fight all the king's army in the city alone. You should wait for Gungo. If he doesn't come, one of his companions will surely come.

Indeed, you are brave, but being patient on such an occasion is bravery.

Khalid replied.

Sister, you have a fever. You go and rest.

I'm just going to look their way. I promise I won't go away.

Maya said no no, sister! Don't let them go. It won't come back."

Khalid said, "Maya, it is possible that the King(Raja)'s soldiers are pursuing them."

It is my duty to help them.

For God; For God's sake stop them!

Take care of your brother!

Maya replied. If my brother is in danger, you cannot help him.

Khalid wanted to say something, but from a distance, a man who was guarding the tree shouted.

"They are coming."

And the sound of horses' hoofs was heard in the forest. Another guard came running and said,

"Perhaps the enemy is following them."

You hide in the basement of the fort.

Khalid replied with satisfaction,

No need to hide.

If the soldiers were in pursuit, they would not have come that way, but they seem to be very few horses. God bless you.

The sound of the horses' hoofs was approaching and Khalid was startled for the second time. It appears that only four horses have returned.

On hearing the news of the arrival of the horses, Naheed felt a great palpitation in his heart, and when Khalid said that only the hoofs of four horses could be heard, the lights of hope were suddenly extinguished. She was feeling that destiny was snatching hope from her hands for the last time.

After a while a horse appeared from behind the bushes. The rider approached and pulled left and jumped off the horse and headed towards Maya.

Maya,

Brother!

My brother!

Saying that she ran and hugged him.

Naheed and Khalid's eyes were towards the bushes.

Seeing Jairam, Naheed was once again lighting the lamp of hope about Zubair. After Jairam, Vasu and behind him Gungo and Zubair appeared from behind the bushes. Seeing Zubair, Naheed hesitated and took two or three steps forward. Zubair approached him and dismounted. Khalid ran and hugged him.

Naheed wanted to run to his room but he felt that his feet were stuck to the ground. He had fiber in his limbs.

His head was spinning. Like a month-weary traveler, suddenly seeing the destination close at hand, his courage had responded.

Zubair separated from Khalid that he went forward and said. Naheed, you should be good now.

Instead of answering, she began to fix her face mask.

Zubair then said,

"Naheed!"

How is your wound?

Naheed's lips trembled, she said in a trembling voice, thank God that you came.

I am fine . Her last words were drowned in a deep breath and she fell to the ground struggling.
